  1. Do other teams really raise their game more against the Old Firm than we did today though? I've yet to see anyone batter them to be honest. We just didn't get the slice of luck that the teams who get the results against them seem to find.
  2. I completely agree, but at that point the proof will be in the pudding, so to speak.
  3. At that point though, those who don't rate him will simply be wrong.
  4. He'll have to finish the season as the top scorer in a Motherwell team that clinches a top four finish. Even that may not be enough for some though.

    Celtic

Lasley for me. If he was a Dundee United player he'd be in the Scotland squad
  6. I love you too lad. I'm not actually questioning their freedom of choice, I'm simply asking why someone would pay twenty odd quid to go to a game then leave with ten minutes to go and the game still up for grabs? It's a bit like going to see a movie then fucking off before you find out how it finishes.
  7. Is that almost a compliment there Jim?
  8. Aye, in the grand scheme of things we'd have been lucky to get a point I reckon. Still, we played well and certainly didn't get steamrolled.
  9. This has to be one of my pet hates at the moment. Let's take today as an example. We're 2-1 down against Celtic with 80 minutes on the clock. The game is raging from end to end, with chances for both teams. I'm trying to watch the game and already there is a steady stream of people asking me to move so they can get by and leave. There are people heading for the exits from other rows and sections as well. Now, I can fully understand that some people buy into the whole "beat the traffic" myth, which basically shaves a negligible amount of time off your journey home, but when we're 2-1 down against Celtic with ten minutes still to go? Really? I've found myself leaving early once this season, which was the game against St Johnstone when we lost 3-0. It was a lost cause and the players deserved nothing from the game, or from the fans. When McCall came over to the east stand with a few of the players after todays game it would have been nice had he been clapping to less empty seats. The players put in a decent shift today and deserved some recognition in my opinion. Anyway, it's a fucking real annoyance at times
  10. Fuck the both of them. I just wish that more of our own fans had hung around long enough to return the applause that McCall gave to the fans in the east.
  11. Call me a sadist, but I've been browsing the various Celtic forums this morning whilst drinking my tea, basically reading their comments and getting myself more & more fired up for the game (even if they seem less arrogant & arsey about the result as they usually would). Anyway, one thing I noticed that made me smile was the amount of "hardcore" fans who post on these forums frequently that spend the day of the game asking how they can watch the match from their fucking computer chair. The amount of request for internet links almost outnumbers the posts discussing the actual game. Also whilst drinking my tea, I ended up watching this little classic. A repeat of this would go down just fine! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp1RIzNdUfo&feature=channel_video_title
  12. Does anyone know what time Jack Daniels will be open today?
  13. If they decide not to sign, I'm guessing that McCall will be among the first to know so he'll deal with it appropriately. I would be surprised if we lost every single one of the guys you listed there within the next season or two though.
  14. Bollocks to that. We simply don't know who will still be with us when the new season kicks off. I remember all the talk of how many players we'd lose after the cup final, and it amounted to Sutton. Besides, you have no idea who we'll be bringing in over the next year or two. If Hughes is willing to sign until January or the end of the season for reasonable money, then fair enough. I'm still of the opinion though that we could be doing with using whatever money we have to strengthen other areas of the team.
  15. Everything I've said there will go right out the window at 12:01pm tomorrow!
  16. Am I the only one who's going into this game tomorrow not even looking at where either Celtic or Rangers are in the league? My eye is on St Johnstone & Hearts at present, and us having a seven point lead over our closest non-Old Firm rival is what really counts. I'm assuming that Celtic & Rangers will finish 1st & 2nd rgeardless, and that we really should be looking at cementing a European place over the next few months. Even a loss tomorrow will not be catastrophic. We'll still have a minimum four point lead over St Johnstone, and they have to visit Ibrox next weekend, whilst Hearts visit Tannadice, so our closest non-old firm rivals will be dropping points over the next few weeks as well.
  17. No offence Jim, but I'm completely disregarding your "insider knowledge" until something concrete comes of it. As far as I'm concerned, Randolph is a Motherwell player and we're looking to cement a European spot this season. That's all I'm thinking about. Oh, and the small matter of us beating Celtic and getting Lennon his jotters tomorrow.
  18. Absolutely deserving of this award. Well done to McCall & the team.
  19. Yeah, I was hoping to get along to it.
  20. Hey, it certainly come across that way! I'm sure that I'm mistaken though.
  21. Just to be clear here, you're not calling Higdon a passenger, are you?
  22. I'd try to encourage those that sit around me in the middle of the east to get up and make some noise, but unless it's to yell at Higdon or give McCall pelters from bringing off Murphy I doubt they'll respond too much.
  23. Perhaps we just need to accept the fact that the average number of punters we get is the support these days? I mean, the number of fans who stay away because the tickets are £20 rather than £15 has to be pretty negligible surely? I don't think the home fans will number any more than they usually do.
  24. It's been fine for me since I subscribed. I just click on the video I want, it asks me to sign in, then I'm good to go.
  25. According to MFCTV Hammell could be fit for the game on Sunday, as the injury isn't quite as bad as was first thought.
