  1. I quite like the idea of being able to see who we've signed, although I wouldn't bother with the rumours section. We'll be linked to shitloads of players between now & August, and I probably won't pay attention to 99% of the rumours.

Haven't Celtic already drawn their ballot for their season ticket holders?

I have to imagine that both sale areas will see most of their custom at lunchtime and after 4 o'clock or so from today forwards as most people are now back at work. Yesterday was a bank holiday, so the place was always going to be packed.

I wouldn't get too nervous about it at the moment Del. I'm still sure that everyone who tries to get a ticket for this game will be able to get one. One thing I wouldn't do is pay over the odds for a ticket.

I personally think it's good to see the club using some common sense and getting the most out of a situation.
  6. Or maybe it's because we didn't have the internet to facilitate our moaning back then? We had to make do with moaning at our family & those around us in the line for tickets.

Indeed. It'll be interesting to see how many season tickets they've shifted for next season.
  8. There may very well be mate, your best bet is to phone after the cup final ticket madness has subsided.

Aye, there's no chance of that being the case. If sales are good I can see the number of tickets being allocated to each ballot name being restricted, which would be fair though. Was there a limit on the number you could ask for in the ballot?
  10. I'm not too sure, but I doubt it mate. You'll maybe have to wait until you get your matriculation card.

I agree there, there really is no need for more than two tickets per book. I bought a ticket for both me & my mate, and the other two went into a pool for non-season book holders who are getting the bus with us, which will at least see them end up in the hands of Motherwell fans.
  12. I went ahead and bought a season book for next season. Have to go down and pick my seat in a few weeks though apparently.

I certainly hope so. I eventually went down for mines just after 4 and waited for something like 10 minutes. The talks down the Brandon shop are of a decent amount of new season tickets being shifted, and not many tickets being left for the ballot, which is unlikely. I did hear of a ticket limit of two per ballot entry as well, which could be true I guess.

Just out of curiosity, how many people do they have actually serving in each venue?

I've just spoken to someone who's been in line since 10:30 this morning, and is still waiting. I'll head down tomorrow I think.

I wasn't telling anyone anything, I was posting my opinion. Get a grip. My view is that whomever forks over their hard earned to attend the cup final is as much of a Motherwell fan on the day as the next person, regardless of their track record. MJW may be a regular feature at Fir Park, but moaning about being sat in a row next to a load of "day trippers" is cringeworthy. The last time I checked we needed all the fans we could get, and should be encouraging these part-timers along to the games, not looking down our noses at them. 16,000 is still the number I'm hearing at the moment Jim.

I'll tell you what then, let's just accept an allocation that covers the real fans who show up "week in & week out", shall we? It'll be the grannies & other family members who make up the bulk of our cup final crowd. When they pay their money for their ticket they are just as much a supporter on the day as you or me. What I'm hoping is that we can retain even a small percentage of those who attend the final and see them at Fir Park a few times a season. It's a national spectacle, and as such it will hopefully see the entire area embrace the occasion like they did in 1991. Sure, most of the fans that go won't know Bill Dickie's shoe size or have a mention scrawled in the east stand toilets like yourself, being a real hardcore and all that, but their support will be crucial in making it a great day for all concerned.

Well, if you're that afraid of ending up in a row full of daytrippers you could always do everyone a favour and stay home. Whoever buys a ticket for the Motherwell end of Hampden on May 21st is just as much of a fan on the day as you or me. This elitist pish is doing my head in.
  19. Aye, it made it to DVD. I've got it.
  20. There's no better way to put the Rangers behind us than to look forward to the match with United next week. The main positive to be taken from todays football is that Killie dropped two points at home to Hearts, which keeps us in the running for 5th. We've got Dundee United away next, whilst Killie face Celtic, so I fully expect them to take nothing from the game, whilst we could realistically hope for a point at least. That would see us two points behind Killie by the time we meet at Fir Park. A win there sees us leapfrog them into 5th. Last game of the season sees us more than likely lose to Celtic, whilst Killie will likely lose to Rangers. 5th place cemented
  21. Results like this happen every now & then, and don't really mean much in the grand scheme of things. 22. I don't think there'll be any in place for Monday.
  23. I would certainly hope so. Not sure what time the ticket office opens at right enough. I'd guess around 9ish.
  24. I'm not quite sure if it's the same now, but when I had a season ticket for the east a few years back I would tend to sit with my mates during games that didn't involve the Old Firm, which meant pretty much wherever suited on the day. Two of us had season tickets then, and if it was only the two of us we would sit in our allocated seats, and if more mates were there then we'd sit wherever. Sometimes we'd even switch ends at half time to follow where Motherwell were shooting.
