    Catering

Does anyone know who it is that provides the catering?
  2. I don't think that providing a discount on pricing for a while is the answer. Lowering prices to £10 per head for the East Stand for a game or two won't make any difference. We need a drop to somewhere around £15 permanently. As I mentioned previously, it's only £3 of a difference, but it seems to be a more acceptable price. I'm not sure if it's the idea of £18 being closer to the 20 quid mark, but £15 sounds a hell of a lot more fairer to me, and such a price would have seen me go a good few more times in the past.
  3. If football clubs looked on their fans as customers, we may not have half the problems we do now.

    Catering

I actually managed to convince three mates to come along to the St Mirren game who hadn't been to a Motherwell game before. It crept closer & closer to half-time, and they eventually went to the food stand. One of them came back with a cheeseburger which had no cheese on it, a Yorkie bar that cost a quid, and half a cup of lukewarm bovril. The other got two lukewarm pies that gave him the sick belches later on in the day. Brilliant.
  5. I agree that the season book idea is the way to go. Fair enough, like someone has already said, we may not attract another 5,000 or 6,000 fans, but if we can even influence another 1,000 or so to put their cash down for a season, then it's got to be considered worth it.
  6. We need to work on getting a decent home support through our gates first.
  7. They would indeed. However, if it was a choice between travelling to another clubs ground, paying them my ticket money, plus all the extras of buying food and programmes etc, or going to Fir Park and paying them money to buy drink, maybe some food and even an entrance fee, I know what i'd rather do. I'm not even going to mention the attractive bonus of watching the game in a warm environment with fellow 'Well fans whilst enjoying a pint.
  8. Okay, the pitch was far from ideal, but it was hardly an unplayable swamp, was it?
  9. I've never understood people who carry their bank cards loose in their pockets. That's an incredibly easy way to lose it. Since the age of 17 or so i've always carried a wallet.
  10. Incidents like this, along with many other reasons, makes me wonder why we haven't switched to a season card system yet. A simple swipe & go affair, which can be stored in your wallet next your bank card.

    St Mirren

My vote also went to young Murphy, but I thought Lasley played well too.
  12. It seems pretty obvious that the club can't really drop prices by a substantial amount on a regular basis, although i'd certainly like to see ticket prices drop a little. Perhpas by the following; O'Donnell stand - It's £22 standard entry at present, which i'd like to see dropped to £20. It's a small amount, but £20 just sounds better than £22. Cooper stand - Same as above. East stand - Currently sitting at £18, i'd drop it to £15. Again, it's not much of a difference, but £15 just sounds a whole lot more acceptable to me than £18 for some reason. I'm only speaking personally of course, but if I was thinking of going to the game, and it was £15 to get in rather than £18, i'd likely go more. I'm not too sure why. It just sounds more reasonable, even though it's only a couple of quid. Also, I read in another thread an idea of showing the away games in the Cooper suite? Anyone know the deal with that?
  13. If he's pissing around with no club, he'll take the wages offered to him or he can fuck right off. I stand by my opinion that he'd be a decent enough player to have in the squad, but that would mean he's only worth regular wages.
  14. There's a good suggestion from Juan in a different thread regarding season tickets. To be honest, there isn't any way the club will drop prices for any real length of time unless other SPL clubs do the same, and unless they drop them for a decent amount of time, we'll see no real results.
  15. Let's be honest here, if he was an excellent footballer he wouldn't be looking for a club to train with, would he? He's a decent player, and would certainly do a job as a squad member until the summer.
  16. Don't even get me started on the catering...
  17. Milky, you're crazy... Or daft.
  18. The highlights of the game are available on the BBC site now.
  19. How long do they do this for though? It's crazy to lower prices for one game and expect instant results.
  20. Were they being distributed on Saturday? Anyway, can anyone pass on the info? I'm not in the loop it would seem.
  21. What's this then? I haven't seen or heard anything regarding that.
  22. An excellent post there. I'd certainly be willing to take advantage of such an offer if it were to arise.
  23. Maybe these initiatives should last longer than the odd match here & there? If games were cheaper to get in to, the amount of people going would rise. The problem is only doing these discounted games every now & then, and not really advertising it.
