  1. Ssn just anounced belic season long loan
  2. Ah well, fair enough. Just home and switched it on.
  3. Skysports news just flashed up that McGhee says we have NOT recieved any new bids for Marvin
  4. It was only a few weeks ago we were doing the same against East Stirling.....
  5. Didnt he quit twitter two years ago?
  6. Apart from all the games he came off the bench and set up the goals.
  7. I was told today (no idea if its true), that Thistle have offered Hutchy a contract. If we can't match Thistles wages then it must be bad.
  8. Hutchy is easily better than any central defender we have at the moment. Yes, he had his moments of crazyness, but I would have him in before any of our current defenders. Doubt we can afford him though.
  9. A boy sitting behind me yesterday was saying to his mate he was off to Hibs. Whether theres any truth to that, no idea
  10. Boro will be in the premier league next season. As much as i like Ripley, i don't see him ready to be an EPL number 1yet.
  11. Found a bar in the algarve with it on, most of the punters are 'well fans. Happy days. Now just need a few 'well goals....
  12. Have we got any fans going? Half the thread are missing this. I'll be watching from a bar in the Algarve. Mon the 'well!
  13. Im a big Ainsworth fan, but it looks to me that McGhee is trying to get him to work as part of this fluid front three and maybe Lionel just isn't cut out for it. My view is that unless we are going to stick him on the right wing and play balls infront of him, then really, theres no point in bringing him on. Saying that, even when it looks as though he's not doing much, more often than not he still is the guy who provides the assist, whether from a cross or a corner.
  14. I did notice the lack of Willie Miller post match and thought it was amusing. Usually on my drive home there is at least 15 minutes of Miller dribbling away about Aberdeen. Saturday night it was lucky if it was two minutes!
  15. Yep, Ripley. Was he getting it in the neck from the Aberdeen fans? I know he likes a wee swing on the bar after the games but yesterday seemed to be much more enthusiastic than usual. Wondered if it was partly a great big get it up yi to the sheep shaggers??
  16. Yep, he impartially pumped them at their own gaff back in December.

    Mark McGhee

Even if you don't like the guy, you should still be thankful. Look at United, Mixu got their job within days of McGhees appointment when there was i think 2? points between us. Now theres 18, we are in the top 6 and they are going down!
  18. Im also a bit confused at the 'eye for goal' comment.
  19. Dont let it fool you, first 30mins, we were brutal to watch.
  20. Trying to follow this thread, the last 4pages are a tough read. Frazzie, are you complaining about being told not to stand in the end section of the east stand where it seems to be allowed, standing in the back row of the east stand where its allowed or standing watching the game from the concourse where its only allowed behind the line?

    Relegation

It would be much better to make the top 6 though and know we are safe with the last 5 games to go.
  22. Im a big Ainsworth fan, but i agree, he was woeful. Im still trying to work out if it was because he didn't know where he was meant to be in that formation or if it was another one of his days he didn't bother turning up, or a bit of both. He did look totally lost. However, skippy managed to run about and make himself get involved, Lionel didn't. I expect he only had a small number of touches on the ball in the 45 he played. He really was a waste of a shirt yesterday. If McGhee is going to play him, theres one place to get the best of him. Right wing
  23. Pearson has been poor for a least the last three games now. Personally thought he had a bomb scare match at Firhill. Anyone know if he is playing through injury or just lost his form?
  24. To be fair to him, he is saying he was excited to see what Skippy, Marvin& Ainsworth could bring to the party with Pearson and Cadden making runs from behind them. (Something which a few fans on here thought would work as well). It didnt work, he made changes. He also said the performance today was the worst its been since he's been back. Can't argue with that. For me, we were a shambles in the first half in particular. Looked as though the players had no clue where they should be playing. Time to just go to a simple 4-4-2. No overthinking, everyone knows their role, try and put some solid performances in.
  25. For those not there, the reason McGhee was getting it in the neck was a combination of factors. - Mind boggling formation playing 1up front at home, players not even looking confident in positions - Dire first half - Launching aimless punts up the park Top scorer and top assist player on the bench despite needingba goal to get back in the game. Even when we svored he sat Moult back down. When he finally brought him on, he should have put lionel in there as well to provide some service. At 1-1 it looked as though we were playing for a draw. Yes, its unfortunate to give away last minute goals three games running, unlucky the way they all went in even, but McGhee today really made it difficult for us to try and win the game. And im saying this as a McGhee supporter!
