  1. Brutal first half. Not sure there were any pass marks at all. Similar to 1st half against hibs but this time had the fear as there was no Mika. Totally transformed 2nd half. Tweak of formation and a serious injection of desire. By far the better team in the last 45 mins and a good watch. The new defender came onto a game as well and Paton - who we have been reliably informed on here as shite - was our best player and made a huge difference. Penalty miss made it tough but justice prevailed. Onwards and upwards. Ideally dont give Hearts a 45 minute head start next week please.
  2. And those St Mirren fans who have seen them win a cup, have also seen them relegated a number of times, fought relegation the majority of years they were in the top league, never saw them in europe, never had the 2, second places and 4? Thirds we have. Until May there they never had a "top 6 trophy" which we must have stacks of. So yes, they have a cup win which would be awesome, but would i swap our last 30 years for theirs? Nah, not for me
  3. Saturday was first i have seen of Suare. Yes the reviews previously were not great but i thought he did well. Furlong was good but if Suare keeps up that form and perhaps adds to it, theres no need for another LB. I would quite like to see a wide player added to the squad. Yes, thats not SK's preferred shape but would be good to have options. In an ideal world a forward thinking midfielder who happens to be on the same wavelength as Mika. Someone who can see the runs & makes the passes. Im not sure we have anyone who operates on that level anymore. Hopefully miller will get there.
  4. We were dire in the 1st half, no creativity, no urgency, and really no clue. Fortunatley Hibs were just as bad. Defo improvement second half but until we brought on Mika, we didnt look like scoring. Obviously only a half hour cameo so cant get too carried away but the lad looks head & shoulders above the rest of our players. Strength, pace, skill & an eye for goal. Desire was mentioned up thread, that too. Looks like he has a real football brain with some of the runs & passes he was trying. The worry is our diddies might not be on his wavelength. Lets hope he pushes on. On the evidence from today our strikeforce needs to be him plus one of the other three.
  5. Obika showed in his last stint at St Mirren he could handle the demands of our league and hit goals. Not comparable to VV last year clearly but we are not going to be getting anyone who has previously hit those heights
  6. And some of our fans will predict us getting beat every week....
  7. With no ITK knowledge, im maybe adding 2&2 together to get 7, but seeing that Oxborough has started a few games, are we activley trying to punt Kelly and then we have a decent wage clout to pay for a striker who could hit the back of the net & keep us all sane?
  8. I dont disagree on your view of @weeyin but i would be keen to hear how you think the rest of the board view you??
  9. Which is a reasonable take, but generally most games this season you say we are about to get pumped....... so maybe, just maybe if you enjoy partaking in the hyperbole, you shouldnt greet about it coming the other way! Regardless of the result tomorrow, we are staying up, having a good day & Dundee United are finishing bottom
  10. If you dont like us playing in Europe, just switch off & ignore it. The rest of us can enjoy the games & dissapointment. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  11. Certainties?? In a league with complete crap. Of course we were looking poor & we even managed what, 4 days at the bottom of the pile.... all season? Hardly certainties. But then, you have us relegated pretty much every season 😴😴
  12. Got to agree, and given that every season we have a spell where he has us 'definitley relegated', and its not happened then fair enough, he can post to his hearts content
  13. Personally i loved that day AND the playoffs v Rangers. Both great days and similar get it right up their expectant fans on both occassions.
  14. Jesus. One defeat and now we are back to getting relegated & binning the manager? Wtf.....
  15. Aside from the rangers game, it mustbe the first time youv called it in what, 3 months?? Well doneπŸ‘
  16. As much as McKinstry is a good, exciting player, you have to be off your head to suggest he should be in the team. We have just nailed 16 points from 21. Outside the old firm we are the form team. Kettlewell is making all the right calls at the moment. If we were not pulling in the points at this rate then yes, perhaps we could question him but for the time being, just enjoy the roll! Some folks just like a moan
  17. Its good bantz tho - like the amount of times over the years that you predict we are definatley going down. Pretty sure we had one of those posts this year? Certainly there was a 'we wont win another game this season' a few months back. 😁
  18. Cant see that but wouldnt be surprised if Aberdeen start sniffing about
  19. Financial benefit to getting top 6, but on the playing side it would surely be good for Kettlewell to have some dead rubbers in the bottom 6 to experiment, get the team spirit up & plan for next season.
  20. Parochial in as far as i have zero knowledge of what has went on, then thats correct. Are you suggesting the police has asked the club for information and we have handed it over?
  21. We assume it, because most of us who are casual observers 'assume' that the police are in general there to serve and enforce the law. If you or anyone else has evidence to suggest something different then by all means, let us and the media know about it. Assuming (again) that dawn raids have been happening, why do the bois have a beef with the club? Surely they should be protesting outside the police station? Unless of course we sent Butcher and Bevis down to kick someones door in
  22. Like others, i have no involvement with the lads or knowledge on what has been going on. I would say however, to the normal observer, the thought of the police conducting "dawn raids" with no evidence does seem a bit far fetched. I stand to be corrected of course & while there are no doubt a small number of police officers with jumped up attitudes, generally you dont get hit with a full police operation unless you have been up to something. To put Robbos boys post in a bit more polite tone, enjoy the support the Motherwell fans have been giving the bois throughout, but dont expect that support to be automatic and unconditional if there are unsavoury or unlawful incidents. Fair?
  23. Lambert turned out pretty shite in bigger clubs in England however he has enough experience, is a big enough character to boot some baws & can surely handle our league. He isnt exactly inspiring in interviews but i would give him a go before goodwin, yogi etc
  24. Brutal, shambolic, no fight, no clue, no desire. Think that about sums it up? Right from the off with that crazy 4-2-3-1 formation it looked like they didnt know what they should be doing. St J outfought us, were first to every ball which essentially meant we had four guys up the park beyond the ball. It should have been changed after 15minutes as it was clear it wasnt working. It got worse, any confidence we had seeped out the players. More mistakes crept in, some started hiding and pretty much every one of them was bullied off the ball. I was fine with Hammil. Had thought the losses were against the run of play and lots of bad luck but that changed with the performance against County and now tonight. We need something different, even if it is just some experience to work with him. We cant turn up like that again and expect to takr any points.
