Given the fact the Celtic stewards are killjoys bastards, is it maybe wise for the singing lads and perhaps even MFC to contact Celtic beforehand, let them know about the drum and the atmosphere at the last few away games? Surely the club will help where possible, especially given McCall drawing attention to how good the drum is. Would be a real kick in the baws for it to be confiscated and 'lost' by some jobsworth.

I've got to say that while I fully understand the requirement to sell our players on for a fee, (thats how we have to work), I would be more than a little dissapointed to lose anyone in this window given the start we have had. Really want to see how this season could go with these lads. Saying that, selling one or more of them at least gives us a good excuse for when it all goes pearshaped.

I won't be slaughtering your opinion, but I don't see how you can talk about our two unknown youth players McHugh and Smith in a positive fashion but dismiss every other teams unknown youth players. Whilst I don't know fuck all about the other teams youth squads, I certainly think they will be able to rival Boab and Smith.

I like Humphrey, when he is on his game he is both a valuable attacking weapon for us, and also a pressure release valve, he can move the ball from our box to the opposition byline very quickly which helps when we are under pressure. However, when he's not on his game/doesn't fancy knocking the ball past his man/forgets he isn't technically gifted etc etc, he is shite - like he has been the last few games. Hopefully, he will come out of this slump quickly, a confident Humphrey, full of form, bombing down our wing will scare any team we are due to play this season.

Hasn't turned up yet this season.
-
JOB flattered to decieve, but unlike Humphrey, he could actually beat a man. He was also pretty good at winning us penalties.
-
Just because its Clyde in the wee cup, doesnt mean we should be playing the young team in an Arsenal styleee. Get the real team in their, win the game, preferably with a good few goals for the confidence. Make changes once the game is won. I would however be tempted to play Law in midfield linking with the attack. Thought he looked cracking in there against 10 man Hearts.

Thats what I thought as well reading this place lastnight. Totally forgot that McCall got us top 6, a cup final and technically joint top of the league after 5 games.
-
Personally thought Hately was our best player today and Humphrey was shocking. Everyone's got different opinions right enough but Humphrey needs a wee spell on the bench.......

Don't agree with you at all mate. At the end of the day, no matter how bad a state they are in, they have still won the league three seasons on the spin, still have umpteen international players, probably the best player in the league in Jelavic, etc etc. Look at us, we have had a blistering start, but we have no real striking options and our squad is threadbare. He's right, to beat them we do need them to have an off day.

The players are in the limelight that week because they are playing the old firm.
-
At a guess, the issue the stewards had was that when they seen you they believed you were chancing your arm to get let out for a smoke. In fairness to them, they can't go letting everyone in and out for a smoke, all it takes is one........

Dependant on when the story was written, it could have been accurate.

Quality atmosphere in the East stand today, keep it up!
-
I thought Higdon looked pretty handy in the last 5 minutes when he moved into midfield.
-
Got to say I think Gunning would have been a good addition to the squad, but mainly as a squad man. For me he wouldnt feature when we have our best 11 fit and available, however the fact he can fit in at LB, CB, CM and LM and was a pretty decent player would have made him a good addition.

The articles busy talking about guys who don't want to take a pay cut from their £40k, £60k and £80k contracts per week, then gets to the last line............. "It's a very unnerving time being out-of-contract and not being sure if there is a club out there for you."

I got married two weeks after the cup final, the wife gave me permission to name the tables after our cup winning hero's had we won. It would have been awsome. Instead, the tables were named after famous golf courses.

And then safely disposing of the 4000 seats.
-
See, I agree with you mate. Im just pointing out what I saw first hand. A couple of guys 5 rows in front of me were standing, and it had a direct result on a family with two young children right behind me. Should they be in a family section? Should the two guys standing have been at the singing section? Arguaments for either, the only point Im making is that without it being set up appropriatley its going to fuck people up. PS- I would say the atmosphere comparisons may have something to do with cracking off 3 quick fire goals against St J, v getting humped off Celtic.
-
How do you know the 'auld guy' wasn't a regular?
-
^ In my example above, I wasn't in the standing section.
-
Really? I'de be interested to know how many contractors are going to come in, rip out and despose of 4000 seats, do any maintenance that would no doubt be required to the paving to bring it up to standard, install crush barriers and jump through H&S loops, all for next to nothing. The state the clubs finances are in right now, a £20k spend, is not a drop in the ocean! While we are on the subject, I like standing at the football, but if its not co-ordinated properly its a pain in the arse and usually people who lose out are those that can't stand or small kids. Case in point, cup final. I was sat in the normal section, not the singing section. About 5 rows in front of me, 2 blokes decided they were going to stand and watch the game. This has the knock on effect of people behind them standing, and as the effect fans back up the stand, the wedge grows. The only way I could see the cup final was to stand, however there is a family with two small children sat right behind me. What do you do??????????
-
^ Oh dear, hasn't anyone told you you are not allowed to say anything bad about our young homegrown players?? PS- I've never rated him either.
-
^ Theres a difference in being positive and being a fantacist! Law - no idea how many goals he will get. Hopefully 5+. Humphrey - Rank rotten infront of goal but you never know 3-5. Lasley - Based on previous experience he might get another 2 this season. Jenno - 3? Outside of that and our strikers, the only real goal threat we have is Hutchy. Saying that, I would like to see Randolph on pens!
