  2. Motherwell fullback Mark Reynolds expects this to be his last season at the club. Reynolds said: "I signed a four-year deal two years ago because I really wanted to be here although obviously I didn't want to see the end of it. I'm still only 22, I am still developing as a player and I am happy to stay here and I am happy to learn. "But now I have to start thinking about making a move in the next couple of transfer windows. As everyone knows Motherwell have been a stepping stone to go on to bigger things. "Paul Quinn and David Clarkson served their apprenticeship here, racked up 100 or 200 games and stepped up to another level. "That's what we've all got to aspire to do. "From what we have seen and the way the manager approaches the game he is going to be good to work under and grow under. You can be happy under a manager but not go anywhere. But he's the type of manager who will help us grow as players - and hopefully attract a team to come in."
  3. CARDIFF City and Dagenham and Redbridge have joined the race to sign Hucknall Town defender Adrian Hawes. The central defender played in a trial game at Motherwell last week. "I think Adrian will end up going somewhere and we will get a fee for him," said Yellows boss Bryan Chambers. "It would be best for us if he did move to Motherwell because they would sign him in January and he could continue playing for us in the meantime."
  4. I took in the under 19 game on Saturday and we have some great young players, lets face it we have 5 players in the Scotland under 19 squad.
  5. Big McCart has been sniffing around a lot of our under 19,s in recent weeks if he has only poached one then it shows that most of the young guys know where they are better of. Rangers and Celtic youth policy myth.
  6. I would say that a right back is already in place and will be announced later today, I don't have any inside info its just the way we have done things this season .
  7. Brilliant nae beating about the bush ,end off story as they say.
  8. Great for Motherwell's youth policy that we are bringing through so many good young players, make no mistake we have without doubt one of the best youth set ups in Scotland.
  9. Don't know if Stevie will be off or not but the guy has been a great servant to M.F.C through the bad and not so bad times .
  10. Just back from creamery park bathgate and when i left with a few minutes to go the well were 5-1 up ,the scorers were Meechan[2], Lawless[2] don't know the other goalscorer. Don't know all the players but think some were as follows, smith, Quinn, Pollock, meechan, lawless, halsman, martin. We brought a trialist on in the second half and he looked good as well. That's about it guys not a great report but its the best i can do.

  15. Link on the beeb site is playing up but when working would someone be so kind as to transfer the highlights to youtube like last week ,our overseas friends can then watch it as well.
  16. Ive been one of Jim's biggest critics, but last week and this he has been outstanding ,see how a good manager gets the best out of his players.
  17. We have went from the home attendance to stupid sectarian slang ,there are plenty of old firm sites to discuss this sort of crap, back to the original post or it should be H.O.T.D .
  18. "I am a bit frustrated we weren't able to do anything before the game today." Gannon admitted. "The players are keen as they are not getting their chance at their current clubs. We still have a week left and we've targeted a few and we are hopeful the deals will come off. "These two players would give us the balance to our squad and cover for injuries and also give us a chance to develop the young players."
  19. Motherwell manager Jim Gannon: "I am pleased that we got off to a good winning start at home but there were things in the second half things that disappoint me. "We changed things tactically today. I brought in Stevie Saunders at right-back to try to neutralise the aerial threat of Kilmarnock. It worked really well. "John (Sutton) gives us a bit of physical presence up front and he took his goal excellently. "We changed things second half. We tried to over-complicate our corners in the first half. We made it simple second half - put it right on top of the keeper. "Stevie Saunders is unbelievable in the air. He has got a fantastic leap. "Ross Forbes got himself a goal, but that wasn't his best game, there is more to come. "Young Hateley, Saunders, Hutchinson were immense today, but naturally Ross with his talent is going to catch the eye."
  20. Ah well pleased to say I was wrong again on all counts. Great show by the Well today.
  21. Hutchinson for keeping big Kyle in his back pocket.
  22. Thought last week was a good game and performance from the Well but tomorrow will be tougher against a strong well organised Killie side, Well 0 Killie 2.
  23. Might be wrong but I think he has only scored 1 goal away from Rugby park.
