I would make 1, maybe 2 changes: Skippy in for Fletcher or Moult. Ainsworth in for Las, if he is injured. Other than that the same.
-
When the ball is kicked he is line. Pause it on youtube and you can see.

Rule is: Offence A player in an offside position is only penalised if, at the moment the ball touches or is played by one of his team, he is, in the opinion of the referee, involved in active play by: interfering with play or interfering with an opponent or gaining an advantage by being in that position It is a shite rule...leaves so much open to the opinion of the ref to decide in a split second.

Watching back the highlights after being up there yesterday. Aberdeen's goal is onside. Watch as they take it. They setup with Pawlett in an offside position on the 6 yard box, Rooney then goes late into an offside position but runs back on as one of the Aberdeen players touches the ball with his hand before the freekick is taken (that must be the signal to move back). The other Aberdeen player then takes the freekick and by the time he kicks it Rooney is in line and onside. Rooney does give McManus a hefty shove in the back though which I think is foul. Pawlett is in an offside position when it is taken but never touches it so will be deemed inactive. Our goal, Skippy does similar from the point of view he givea the Dons defender a wee nudge. Not as blatant as Rooney though. Their disallowed goal is offside. So, McInnes is wrong on that one. Reynolds is ahead of our last defender and the ball moves forward. Simple one.

Ah really?! I did not get that at all. I see the why the level of frustration!

Was it not just your event anyway with the WS tagged on at a later date - rather than a joint thing? Or if I missed something? I saw tweets from WS but the impression was very much it was the podcast organising and not the WS EDIT: That sounds like it is a dig at ye but I dont mean it that way. Just trying to understand if it was meant to be joint event and WS didnt help out. Or if it was you guys and the WS were tagging along for the exposure but not organising.

It definitely would have. Wether he wanted to do it or not would be a different story.

Forbes for me, aye. His passing is unreal and has a beauty of a shot on him. However it takes more than that to even be a solid and lasting top level player in Scotland. Overall lack of pace and ability/lack of want to put a decent tackltacklunfortunately meant he didnt make it with us or Thistle.
-
Thought Chalmers over the 90 mins was a success. A solid 7/10 for me. Tackle at the end was a great one and wasnt caught out of position too much at all. Played well moving forward and rarely lost the ball when doing so. He isn't the type of player to really go to ground for a tackle and lacks a bit of pace. So, he probably cant gamble as much as we would maybe like for a full back.

That is what we were already playing

Went for Ripley. Didn't put a foot/hand wrong and had a worldie of a save at the end. For the first time this year quite a few others could have got it! Law, Kennedy, Johnson all up there too.

Driving back now and taking a break on thebl road. We had most of the first, best chances and 0-0 would have been a fair way to go in. Soft freekick and couldnt really see who lost Rooney for the header. Las had a good 45 pushing high with Pearson playing well on the left also with Chalmers. On the other side Grimshaw, Johnson and Law were combining well. Fletcher and Moult did a lot of good work but ball wasnt satickin to them at all. Second half Aberdeen bossed 15/20min and we looked at sea and shaky all over. The subs from 60 odd mins changed it and Ainsworth, Skippy, Theo and a tiring Johnson did really well and pushed us on to get the equaliser and nearly the winner. Defence looked solid throughout I thought bar a couple if shaky moments. Law and Chalmers did a lot to prove the doubters wrong. Ripley also a great game - savs and coming for crosses.
-
Law hasnt put a foot wrong today. Also playing well going forward and linking with Grimshaw and Marv on the right.
-
We were playing well there. Certainly created the best chances. Harsh freekick awarded also. Not sure who lost Rooney for the goal but incredibly harsh. Laing is away into the dressing room so expectba change. EDIT: Back out. Needed a shite clearly.

In light of the injuries. I would go. Ripley Grimshaw Kennedy McManus Chalmers Lasley Laing Pearson Fletcher McDonald Moult But I think Laing will be in there somewhere come tomorrow.

Hammell went to get an op on the other groin. Baraclough was saying when you get a groin op, they usually do the other one as a preventative measure so both are the same strength. But last year Hammell only got the one done. Ainsworth, dunno, but McGhee said he hadn't trained most of the week and may not travel.

I am going up on Saturday so we shall be rewarded with a win. 2-1 us

I couldn't make it but, as other have said, shame it wasn't more well attended. I didn't even really think it was a Well Society thing as it seemed the name got tagged on after you had organised it. There were plenty of tweets about it from the WS that will have reached a lot of people. Maybe next time some flyering/posters at home games in advance, mention in the programme or official website would help. Having on a Friday/Saturday would also help but I know that may be down to the speakers. Maybe a smaller venue or one actually at the club? Other than that there is not a lot more you can do. Memories of flyering for the band I was in when a bit younger coming thundering back here....

No, it didnt answer anything. That was the point. No, naive because some of the reasons you give are at best, simplistic, and at worst just untrue. I am neither here nor there on the bill to be perfectly honest. So, standing on the neutral ground it is easy to take the emotion out of reading and responses and see how it is coming across. Your argument hasnt moved me anymore towards your cause though. As someone else earlier in the thread said to get the support behind you you need to convince us all. By looking on here that does not seem to be happening and calling people 'bed wetters' ain't going to help. (an example of the bad positioning I referenced)
-
If you cant get it recorded then you might as well merge with the Society officially boys! :-)
-
That answers that then. Seriously though, no matter what age you are, a lot of your responses are coming across as very naive and not positioning your argument, when challenged, very well at all. Takes a lot away from some of the factual and well authored retorts you have actually had. Ultimately means your point is being taken less seriously.

You are making this worse. I would probably stop now mate.

....oh dear.
