  1. He was involved in a lot, McDonald, just made a lot of poor decisons. Poor for his own standards I thought. Best spell probably his 10mins before coming off.
  2. You been watching all the championship games, aye? Not seen a huge amount of them but the right backs at Thistle and County are not better than Law or Chalmers in my opinion. Sean Dillon at Utd? He is brutal! So there's three for a start. Wasn't impressed with Caley Thitle's right back either. All at least on a par with Law and Chalmers (who is our second choice remember).
  3. Same as others - Law, Moult and Grimshaw for me stood out. Went for Law as he had the most complete game I thought and a lot started from him. Johnson and Ainsworth showed in flashes throughout. Both centre backs looked comfortable troughout, bar the one mistake that led to the second goal, and won everything in the air. Pearson and Ripley did fine. Disappointed in Chalmers and McDonald's performance.
  4. I am really surprised by the early reaction here. A lot of positive play from us. A lot. We did lack the final ball but we basically got beaten by a dodgy penalty (including retake which you 99% of the time wouldnt see), a deflection (albeit after some poor defending) and then a wonder goal! They went 5 at the back on 70 mins. Was always going to be tough from then on in.
  5. Haha. I am a bit upset...come on guys! :-) Chick Young does come across on the radio as a bit of a fanny - I would agree on that!
  6. He is a St Mirren fan. You have been watching too much Only and excuse.
  7. Let's stop talking about Rugby and Chick Young.
  8. BBC reporting: "Motherwell's Stephen Pearson will play against Inverness despite treatment for a knee injury picked up at the weekend. Fellow midfielder Keith Lasley and full-back Steven Hammell remain on the sidelines after injury." Wasn't mentioned in the press conference so hopefully that means it was nothing serious and just a bit of soreness from the pitch.
  9. It's 3 strikes...and it was reported in the mail we missed the first one which was 40k and due in July. Since then we have paid 180k back to him.
  10. Correct. It is explained on the WS site.
  11. He had offers from a few Championship clubs and a current Premiership club and I know that from a very good source. Getting a gig wouldnt have been an issue.
  12. Article from Scott Mullen about Sportscene in the evening times (I think) today. My mate does some of the graphics on Sportscene and even he says it is a shambles. No budget at all. Even the Saturday scores show they manually hire someone to put in all the scores live...whereas the match of the day version on a saturday afternoon has software that does it all automatically. Sportscene also dosnt get to use the same graphic software for match analysis or the big hanging badges you see the camera move through etc as per match of the day.
  13. Are we still operating at a loss though?
  14. It always said club and always said 180k as far as as when I read it...which was quite early on I think
  15. Inverness havent won in their last 4 and needed a penalty to get a draw at the weekend there. If we can keep Tansey and Christie quiet we should win. Hopefully Vigurs does not have a worldy of a performance on his fir park return either! Going for a clean sheet and a couple of goals. 2 - 0 Well.
  16. Couldnt really care less about Sportscene. Highlights are online on a Saturday night! That's all you need. No need to froth at the mouth.
  17. Hemmed in to a smaller bit probably because it needs less stewards to look after it. Money and all that.
  18. Looks like it will be 2 MOTM on the bounce for Law. Well played. He has had more licence to move forward in the past couple of games under McGhee than he did under Baraclough. Seems to be working well for him and maybe giving him that wee confidence boost. If McGhee can also work on his positioning then all the better also!
  19. I think we all expect to see Pearson bursting forward. However, it seemed like the tactic yesterday was for the centre midfield 2 to sit more than push forward yesterday and let the wingers do all the attacking.
  20. Law for me. A lot of good performances but he had the most complete game. Mick and Kennedy not far behind. Marv and Lionel solid games also.
  21. Decent and busy performance from Marv again. Much improved under McGhee.
