  1. Don't think he looked a world beater. But he did more than McDonald and was stronger and held the ball up a bit better.
  2. Ass manager on you tube...Fletcher is back in full training, sounds like it will be a week too early. Pearson sounds like possibly the week after, if not then the game after the international break.
  3. That's the point? What do we know? Not much. I agree it is likely the re-organisation and set up costs will likely be an outlay specifically for this year. That said, the whole sport science programme setup was at least partly funded by a donation from an english business man (see Well Society site) But, the total ongoing wage bill could quite easily be the same or less. As a made up example to speculate Vigurs, Sutton and Lawson out on £800pw. Moult, Fletcher, Clarkson in on £600pw each. Grimshaw and Taylor in on £300pw wages contribution each. 3 out, 5 in. Wages balanced The ass. manager mentioned in the Youtube video today they are adhering to budget also.
  4. Leitch and Grimshaw in the middle. Taylor on the wing where hasn't played for us before? The never tried before youngsters of Laing and Kennedy as a pairing? I see what you trying to do by dropping the experienced members but that's just madness. Too much change. Ripley Law Laing McManus Chalmers Lasley Ainsworth Grimshaw Johnson Moult Robinson Or as a 442.
  5. Craig Nelson? If you mean Neilsen then you are off yer nut!
  6. Killie at Rugby Park also early in the season. He got lobbed, again, when he shouldnt have. Twardzik for all his shot stopping ability just is not good enough at this level. Which is why he was second choice at Dundee in the Chanpionship at the time.
  7. Ripley caught got a cross ball last week at the front post.
  8. A couple of comments on a message board and the boy is a complete cunt getting an ultimatum..oh and team leadership criticised. Give me a break.
  9. Who knows. He has just signed anyway. Youtube video just posted.
  10. Similar to my Taylor/Leitch thoughts elsewhere...I dont think there is much difference between Twardzik and Samson other than height. Seems a silly backup signing unless its cheap and just to cover Long's injury for a couple months in case Twardzik also gets injured.
  11. If Locke didnt rate Samson then he must be a good player.

I honestly think they have been much of a muchness. I would therefore prefer to see Leitch in as he is one of ours. Just dont think he has been that much better.
  13. Maybe due to Brett Long being out. Pretty sure I saw him with a broken hand/wrist on Saturday.
  14. Yeah I think I was the same to be honest and expected a bit more. If all the players played like they did in thr playoff we would be laughing...Skippy, Johnson to name a couple. Long even pulled a couple of good performances out the bag. Does it say more about the players? Or also that the management cant get them up (crikey) for normal league games? Maybe both.

I don't think he has the majority of the time to be honest. Taylor isn't the answer..for me neither is Leitch yet.

On reflection you are 100% right actually. Taylor was shite - I don't think Leitch was much better I guess is my main point. Grimshaw in for the next game. Saw enough from Bolton and his cameo to think he will do enough.

I dont think it was just that it was a 3. It was the fact it was a 3 behind the striker with 2 sitting midfielders. I dont think he could operate in a flat 3 across the middle, for example. He was pretty much playing on the wing at times and raking about further forward. Seemed better suitim to that. A centre midfielder he is not. Let us not turn Leitch into the saviour either, by the way, as he isnt muchbetter. If Taylor was one of our own youths I dont think we would be even talking about this.
  18. Randolph in nets for West Ham tonight. Puts it in perspective how good he really was for us.

Taylor played ok against Bolton when he was one of a midfield 3 sitting behind the striker (playing 4 2 3 1). So I think he is out of position. He has offered no more than Leitch did, no less either in my opinion. But with that said we woild be better with Leitch ij there to develop him!
  20. Just in addition to what I said above re tactics...the move to a back 3 helped at the end...so fair play to the management team on that. But we shoukd have changed much much earlier and removed the ineffective Taylor.
  21. In a team full of 5/10 or 6/10 performances I would say Moultprobably edges it for me. Ran all game and made a nuisance of himself against a tough pair of centre backs. Mde sure he was in the right place at the right time for an important goal.
  22. The long balls 100% were a tactic otherwise the management team would have been screaming at them. We visibly moved away from the previous games of push the full backs high, centre backs to the corner of the 18 yard boxeand play out on the ground. Horrendous choice of tactic given Ross County are one of the biggest teams we have seen so far. When Marvin came on and won a few headers our play did start to get better.
