  1. Dan has pulled off a couple of good saves so far. Also has just fumbled a cross from a corner. Clarkson missed penalty. Good save though. Cracking finish from Clarkson a minute later. Cadden and Thomas looking bright.
  2. For those interested. 4-2-3-1 Twardzik McMillan Hall Kennedy Ferguson Leitch Campbell Thomas Cadden Chalmers Clarkson 4-5-1 when we are defending Full management team are here watching. Lasley too.
  3. Can't go along with chucking Kennedy in for Law just yet in my eyes. We haven't even seen the him play yet! Try him there in U20s today and see what he is like. If he strolls it I would consider it as Law has been a weak link a few times from last season and into this. I am going along to the u20 match today so I will key yese know! ;-) I would go back to 442. Ripley Law Laing McManus Hammell Ainsworth Lasley Leitch Johnson Skippy Moult (Fletcher if fit)
  4. Would be good if we got that as a sell on eh.
  5. No concrete confirmation yet. However, at the time, the fee mentioned was £100k and may rise to £250k. So, there must be some add ons in there but whether its a sell on fee % or not it is not clear. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/13600549.Murphy_deal_leaves_Motherwell_quids_in/?ref=twtrec
  6. Going to assume you are taking the piss here. Yes?

I'd disagree. I came away from the Utd game thinking we played well but just didnt take our chances. I do agree we need to start getting goals or things will become very sticky very soon. Early days.
  8. It's Dan Twardzik's fault. He was too small to reach the tickets on the upper shelf. Hence the delay.

I was only joking...the way it was written was like the ramblings of a crazy person!

One poor performance out of 3. Away with this thread. Baws.
  11. Think I would agree with that. Thomas defensive capability is also lacking. He will do better getting 20/30 mins most games for the first half season at least I think.
  12. Very poor by Skippy to give that penalty away. Goalie should have saved the second. Poor. 4231 will work fine. But only if McDonald plays closer to the striker. Not as a central midfielder. Like you say, that worked fine against Rangers. But we need him further up on a normal week as well as Ainsworth/Johnson pulling in more central when fine to do so (when the ball is on the opposite wing). Otherwise the striker will be isolated.

Spot on StAndrew7 The manager has been coy in interviews/press conf in predicting league finish this year. Essentially saying not as bad as last year but wants a run in the cups. That would do for me in Year 1 of a rebuild plan.
  14. Wasn't there but sounds a poor performance.Early days though. I was expecting 3 points from the first 4 games when I saw the fix ture list. Looks like to will be that way.
  15. Gutted I cant make it through tonight as I was, result aside, impressed with the majority of our performance on Saturday. Ripley Law--McManus--Lain--Hammell Ainsworth--Leitch--Lasley--Johnson Skippy--Fletcher Law/Leitch - I would think about swapping out. However, I dont know what Kennedy or Taylor are like to know if they are any better. Is Watt injured just now? Going for Motherwell win to win by a goal 2- 1 Both teams to score in first half (3/1 at Paddy)
  16. Kerr and Vigurs reminded me a lot of each other. Loads of talent, great foot on them but lazy and not team players.
  17. He was on the bench for Reading at the weekend. So, hopefully not too far of match fitness.
  18. I would imagine hearts have to decide and tell us first. Maybe that's the hold up.
  19. Yeah I think that is true in that as his fitness improves he will link up better. I think Bara will want to play a 4-2-3-1 when everyone is fit. With Marv/Skippy/Ainsworth being the 3. After 20/30 mins on Sat it was more a 4-5-1 which left Fletcher isolated. Mainly due to Chalmers not being a winger by trade and Skippy sitting to deep.
  20. Would agree with that but keep Fletcher in if he is fit. Thought he looked good. Skippy needs to play a bit higher up the pitch though and closer to Fletcher. Too deep on Saturday.
  21. How anyone can criticise Ripley for that 2nd goal is absolutely laughable. Ripley man of match for me. Save in first half was sublime and another couple of blocks stopped certain goals in the second half. Laing, Lasley and Fletcher also very good.
  22. Thought the bois were fairly quiet today. Any reason?
