    Baraclough Out

In our last 5 matches against east fife the biggest winning margin has been 2 goals. Back to 1984/5 to get anything bigger. More recently in 2002 it was 2 - 0 and in 1998 1 - 0. Maybe we should have expected this!
  2. I think everyone is aware of that... relief and tongue in cheek posts are different from bragging.
  3. Grasping at a positive here...but at least the team found the baws to score the goals required at the end of the day.
  4. I really do hope this is te turning point.
  5. Nae bother. Up the road lads. Same again but in 90 mins on Saturday.
  6. This is the thing though....same as last season...for who?! Having watched the u20s last season and then again this season there is not much there which will change it. Are Ferguson Hall Kennedy better than Mick? I wouldn't say so. Are Reid Kennedy Watt better than Law? I wouldn't say so. Watt maybe in the future. Who replaces Las? Cadden does not play that role. Taylor and Leitch not good enough by some on here already Tricky one.
  7. Nonsense. They don't need a rest a few games in. As for Mick...your alternative pairing is playing tonight. Not exactly a sterling performance.
  8. Shambles it would seem. Serious questions need to be asked if we go out here. Manager or players I don't know who. Understand the call for the managers head. But if a team of 11 full timers can't beat east fife then thave a large portion of the blame also.
  9. Where is this coming from all of a sudden that the players don't like the manager/management staff? In all the interviews so far I would say they are buying in to the way Bara wants to play. No hissy fits on or off the park... Couldn't just be based on...nothing...could it?
  10. That was my view out the windae then! Haha. Hammy out for Chalmers too so that's 4 changes. McManus, Skippy, Taylor all on the bench. 442 by the looks.
  11. I thought a red takes you out the next game no matter the competition? Or is that just of its violent conduct?
  12. It is 2 for Tuesday at Domino's today. So it would have been ideal.
  13. Apparently he got re-injured (take from that what you will). Even so, he is no better than Law.
  14. With the way Bara was talking at the start of the season - about wanting to do really well in the cup comps - I can't see us dropping anyone from the first team other than if there are injury/suspensions. Hopefully we can get a few goals and then the team can kick on. - Hammell came off as a precaution. Sounds like it might be a bit early for him tomorrow according to the pre match video. If so, Chalmers in. - Taylor is suspended, I think, so Leitch would come in for me. - I wouldn't drop Ainsworth or Johnson for Thomas. Would be using this game to get them both firing. Then maybe give Thomas a wee bit more time in the second half. - No one else on the bench or U20s is clawing at the door in my opinion. - Only one I would debate would be Law. Only the manager really knows if Kennedy can slot in there. Reid not fit and no better than Law. Watt wont be fit enough yet. With Hammell dropping out I don't think changing our right back will happen.
  15. Not much at all. But the majority will give him 100% man love for some reason.
  16. All our games should have a Carry On style alternative match poster. If the graphics guy is reading this...get it done!
  17. Never said I did to be fair...all I meant to infer was that in today's game any chat about a fitness coach and his impact on the team is perfectly valid. It read like you were meaning that the whole 'fitness thing' was a load of baws. It's clearly not as majority of top flight teams have a sports science department. If you meant you hate peoples views on fitness based on what they see on the park, because they don't see players train etc and aren't in a position to judge then that's not what I was commenting on. What I would say, is that it does seem we are fitter than the start of last season. We appear to have more players lasting 90 mins while working harder throughout. My view may be skewed though by seeing Vigurs blowing out his arse after 25mins at the start of last season! Get the squad doon my back garden for a bleep test to sort this oot!
  18. Hate the fitness chat all you want - it's valid in today's game.
  19. Pretty sure it's development league only. They split out first team/development league suspensions here each week: http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/football_document_libraries.cfm?page=2567
  20. I think it is a development league suspension only. Could be wrong.
  21. Young midfielder Campbell gave away the first. Kennedy the second.
  22. Shouldn't have lost that. Dominated first half and gave away a clumsy penalty on stroke of half time. Second half, Aberdeen came in to it a bit but we were comfortable. Then Kennedy was caught last man in the box to give away a second penalty. Off he went. Thomas was impressive all match. Cadden played well behind the striker and was box to box Clarkson laboured after his initial impressive 30 mins. Kennedy didn't lose a header all game and looks like he can use both feet. The full backs McMillan and Ferguson played well moving forward also. Positive stuff I thought.
  23. Entertaining first half. We controlled majority of it and deserved to go in at half time leading. Penalty we gave away was just a bit clumsy. Ferguson impressing at left back. Kennedy is strolling it in the middle. McMillan at right back is doing well also. Leitch, Thomas, Cadden and Clarky all looking good too. As an aside to the game - Lasley is down in the dugout assisting Craigan.
