What a result! Just back in from it and think I was nervous for the full 90. Moult second goal just wonderful. What's the deal with yellow cards? Think Moult has two now in the competition....please someone tell me...

Even if the solidarity payment is meant for youth, as stated by Uefa...it's fairly easy to adjust budgets on paper so that the extra money is used elsewhere. All it means is you keep the same youth budget as last year but you know 370k of it is coming from Uefa. So you suddenly have 370k the club doesn't have to put in which...can then go elsewhere.

Indeed. Every 'smaller' team is the same from my experience with mates. So to recap...it's either 6000, 7000, 9000 or nearly 10000 sold? All solid sources.

Before my time the 76 game but let's hope the ref has a quiet day on Sunday. We are more than capable of beating Rangers at the weekend. They are not as bad as some are making out but with the team we have at the moment which has work rate, desire and an element of skill too, and a manager who tactically seems sound and isn't afraid to change it....we have a great chance.
-
That's, what, 2.5 x our season ticket base? Would have been nice to get the 10,000 sold but I reckon that's pretty good going.

Lee Erwin playing for Killie U20 tonight v ourselves. I've no real grudge against him but there is a certain irony there which made me chuckle.

I'm starting the McShug campaign, making a flag and no one can stop me.

Slight dilemma for Robinson I think. There are a couple of areas not working on the park at the moment. But, do we risk changing it before a big game like the semi v Rangers? I'd say no drastic changes. But a few places up for consideration: Dunne - Not been playing well defensively and also gifting possession via poor passing. He does offer height and strength and set pieces though which is very useful. Hammell is the realistic alternative. Would keep possession, do well moving play on. Could be done for pace and although he does well in the air in general play he is not so good at set peices. Hard one. Tait - As much as he does well enough and gives 100% on the left it leaves us fairly weak on the left in an attacking sense and we tend to either go via Cadden or end up lumping it long. Frear is the attacking option , Hammell could be a more defensive option if we keep Dunne in the team. McHugh - Not playing well and also gifting possession. A slight worry but he's our captain and has experience. To that end I'd go with the below: Carson Kipre Hartley Hammell Cadden Campbell McHugh Rose Tait Bowman Moult I am really tempted to play Frear but I think keeping the more defensively minded Tait in, even though the wrong side, might be the best way to start and leaves Frear as a great impact player when required

Definitely. That's why me and my old man always get to NDP early - to save this hassle. The fact was the seat was taken the game had started and there were other single seats close by. Just sit doon. Or stand there clutching a pie and bovril, miss more of the game, make others around you miss the game, shout in the face of your fellow well fans and get 1 guy to move a few seats along "Coz that's ma seat and I want my seat". Better ways to deal with the situation from a few angles including his

Witnessed the chap who came very very late and he seemed like a right twat. Just sit in another seat and move on with your life....he was getting dogs abuse from a number of fans around us watching on. It's always the same with seats there. Best thing accies can do is print tickets with no seat numbers.

Not a great game yesterday to sit through but a great result. Could have been 2 up before they scored and it would have been such a different game. They scored and it took as a wee while to get back into it. Never had any doubt we would score a couple after that but we did make hard work of it a wee bit. Really pleased with the first 45 from Rose. I can see why Robinson picks him with his height and pace. It's taken him a handful of games to get to this point and jf he can kick on and do it for a full game then he could be great for us this season. Dunne has been shaky for a while now and looks like he lacks a bit of confidence. Next few games he needs to be told to just keep it very simple. Clear lines and make simple short passes. Do that, be strong and fast then build from there. Other than that I thought Carson, Hartley, Campbell, Cadden and Bowman had good performances. McHugh, Kipre, Moult, and Tait all average due to varying reasons, and our expectations, in my eyes. I'd be tempted in the future to drop McHugh into defence and bring in Grimshaw or Bigi. Not for the semi, but could be an option. EDIT: Wrong thread. Apologies.

The biggest mystery is why all Well fans are not backing Hartley to score goals. I took £160 profit today for anytime and last goalscorer. Cashed out after 65 minutes or it would have been £100 more

Superb. Great wee player.

Smashing news.

I watched that game, all 90 minutes for some reason, and Accies were awful. In the league, they've lost 3 of their 4 home league games this season conceding 10 goals in the process. I don't think it will be an absolute walkover but I do think at the moment we are a better team and I'd be disappointed not to win.

100%. You can tell Hartley just loves the fitba. Some lovely prices at the bookies for Saturday at the moment for us to win. Surprisingly generous.

In a similar vein, stories in the press today about a few clubs looking at Adam Livingstone. Really would like to see him stay and get a chance here. The Motherwell Times can reveal that English Championship outfit Bristol City are one of four clubs keeping tabs on Motherwell youngster Adam Livingstone. The Ashton Gate team’s scouts have been impressed by the 19-year-old winger’s form for the Motherwell under-20 side for whom he has netted three goals in eight matches this season. City are one of three English second tier sides and one League One outfit who are looking to sign Livingstone – whose Motherwell contract expires next summer – on a pre-contract agreement in January. Livingstone, a lifelong Motherwell supporter, has been at the club since the age of nine and is highly rated by ’Well under-20s gaffer Stephen Craigan. The teenager’s fine displays at youth level may soon have him pushing for a regular place in the Motherwell first team. He already has experience of playing at that level, having made substitute appearances at home to Kilmarnock and away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the Steelmen’s final two Scottish Premiership fixtures of last season. Livingstone was also part of the Motherwell under-20s squad which won the Scottish Youth Cup for the first time in the club’s history with a hugely impressive 5-2 thumping of Hearts at Hampden Park in April 2016. Yet this newspaper has learned that there was a time earlier in his Motherwell career that Livingstone was set to quit football altogether. “This time last year Adam thought he was surplus to requirements at Motherwell,” a source told us. “But the under-20s gaffer Stephen Craigan has been instrumental in his rise up again. “Battling back shows that Adam has the mentality of a champion at such a young age.” Livingstone’s dark days seem well behind him now and it appears that the sky’s the limit for the latest star prospect to come through the Fir Park side’s revered youth set-up. Motherwell starlets Chris Cadden and Allan Campbell starred for Scotland under-21s against England on Friday night and clubmate Livingstone is looking a good bet for inclusion in future youth international squads. Our source added: “Adam has similar qualities to Chris Cadden and I think he can kick on the same way Cadds has. “Adam is very athletic, powerful, very good at attacking and just as good at defending. “He is the all round ideal player on the left side and has all the attributes to play in the English Championship. “Motherwell is a selling club and I think they would get a decent fee for Adam.” Read more at: http://www.motherwelltimes.co.uk/sport/football/motherwell-fc/motherwell-under-20s-ace-adam-livingstone-being-tracked-by-english-championship-side-bristol-city-1-4584254

Surely that means it's sold out if all the 35 and 25 are gone? Or just they physically don't have all the 10000 tickets? Edit: Just realised the whole south stand is mostly 30. Which is the ticket I bought! Idiot.

My lego comment earlier is a bit of joke. But, Hamilton is a really poor surface - markedly worse than Kilmarnock's for example and I've watched both live plenty of times to form that opinion. In general, I don't really mind if it is artificial or not, just get on with it. But it does affect the way the game is played. Just something else to deal with. The argument of injuries and recovery time after playing on it is another thing though.

Cadds just hit the bar there as well.
