Couldn't agree more. We need a severely limited player like a John Sutton character so we get a smile and some stats back on the message board from Ya Bezzer bigging up constantly..
-
The problem is how late they leave it if it depends on other targets at the buying club. We get offered 500k for Ben (for example) at 11 on deadline night. Too much to knock back but not enough time to pull the trigger on the replacement. Difficult decision.

Scottish Premiership Game 4: Hearts (H) Saturday 26/08/17

This is it. When I've asked about it before - as it's my mate who does some of the graphics for Sportscene. Basically the producer gives them a running order and how much time each match will get of highlights and then talking about it. They'll also outline what they want to be talked about and then it's down to the presenter and pundits to sit down and work with whatever time they have left, look at the games and prep the talking points and supporting film/graphics. They also need to take into account number of cameras they have at the game and whether the talking points can actually be talked about properly given camera angles, flow of the game etc. -

Knowing people at BBC Sport who are involved in production of both programmes. It's purely down to the producer what is covered during Sportscene, and Sportsound, for how long and in what order. The pundit's and presenters have some input but not a huge amount of ability to change anything hugely. -

What a total wank comment -
I must have removed I from my mind. No memory whatsoever!

I was googling him last night after my previous message, to remind me who he is. The top video result is 'Paul McGinn scores fluke of the season' from the SPFL. George Long in goals and the closest defender if the bold Tony Straker. No central defender involved though - just sclaffs it in all on his own.
-
I don't really remember McGinn. Is he an our and our defender or does he have an attacking instinct and some pace about him? If he does not have the latter then I don't think Robbo will be playing him on the right.

Robinson was asked about McGinn today and it drew quite a guarded stand offish response. Which means...there must be something in it -

Yeah - don't get me wrong. It's a good thing. I just don't know how I would start out to try and get everyone I want to start in the team! -
Paul McGinn on our radar according to the Daily Express/BBC gossip online.

Scottish Premiership Game 4: Hearts (H) Saturday 26/08/17

On the actual game this weekend. It's a tough one on how we set up. Carson, McHugh and Frear have to come back in. I'd like to see Campbell start probably, but as mentioned above, it's how we got him in. Could work in a 4-2-3-1, but I'm not convinced with Moult up top or a back 4 over a back 3. Tait Heneghan Kipre Dunne Campbell McHugh Cadden Bigi Frear Moult Or, maybe more likely Carson Kipre Heneghan Dunne Tait Cadden McHugh Bigi Frear Moult Bowman Plenty of options for once with Fisher, Tanner, Rose, MacLean, Newell or the new striker not in either of those lineups. -
This. Not that far back!
-
Superb. Great bit of business and glad we were on it so quickly. He was one I thought maybe only wanted a year. Of the new signings that leaves: Rose, Dunne, Plummer, Newell and Petra to prove they are worth an early extension or not.
-
Chris Cadden in the U21 squad released today. Jamie Semple also played in all 3 games with the U17 squad over the past week. Came off the bench against Italy and started against England and Turkey without scoring. EDIT: Could a mod change the title of this to Motherwell players in Scottish youth teams or something maybe?
-
Maybe we should just pin a thread to the forum where we talk about getting a million for player, sell them undisclosed with add ons, never really know how much they went for what the add ons were, then all have a moan, repeat? Would save us all a lot of time.
-
Back to the big rebuild though. Been playing about with Wyscout today for the first time due to some work I am doing. Very impressive platform

Couldn't care less about the Celtic thing. We all know fine well how much big supports from other clubs mean to us. I'll take the £365k, the gates they provide and smile. In fact I'd like them to give us more. Money is gid.
-
Yeah, according to the papers/online Hull are favourites but Cardiff and Nottingham Forrest are also interested. Cardiff having a scout at the game on Saturday. Cadden is key to the team and has a couple years left. It will take a big wedge for us to accept this late in the window and with a guaranteed compensation amount due as has been discussed before. Or, a fairly big wedge and a loan back deal perhaps.
-
I don't think we'll have a problem with Louis or Ben if/when they sign pre contracts. Both honest players and both decent humans.
-
They've not got big Simon Phoenix from Demolition Man playing at the back though have they?
-
6 wins out of 8 in competitive action. I think Robinson is doing just fine.
-
Manager got it wrong in the first half. But he changed it and that is the main thing. If that was the last manager we would have been at 70 minutes, with not change, youngsters still on the bench apart from Joe Chalmers getting stripped... He'll have learned a lot about the team and some players today and I am confident Robinson will take that into account moving forward. Campbell, Bowman and the change to the back 3 made a huge difference. Tait did amazingly well on the left and Moult looked a bit more like himself in the second half too.
-
You're a total buzz kill this season. Everything ok?
-
Indeed. Completely different and have no worries about him. Another way to look at this is the answer Robinson gave gets Moult's name in the paper a couple of weeks before the window to remind possible suitors of his availability...
