  1. Pearo and Clarky were in the main stand watching the East Stirling game. Heard it on good authority this is what is happening....if you know what I mean.
  2. Aye whatever happens tomorrow Raith are out and Dundee Utd or Dunfermline will go through. All to play for. Dundee Utd win - finish on 10 Dundee Utd draw and win pen - 9 Dunfermline win - 9 Dunfermline draw and win pen - 8 (better GD as mentioned above)
  3. Superb. As it stands: best of the runners up and only Dundee Utd, if they win, can overtake us. Motherwell 9pts, +6 QOS 9pts, +4 Ayr 9pts, +3 Raith 8pts, +1 Dundee 7pts, +10 Dundee Utd 7pts, +5 Killie 7pts, 0 Falkirk 6pts, 1 As it stands: Alloa, Partick, Rangers and Morton seeded in next round along with Celtic, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen.
  4. A couple of my mates work for BBC Sport and News. It's very much budget. For example, it's cheaper to employ a couple of folk in for overtime on a Sunday to type up the live scores instead of buying the software/licences Match of the Day use for the live videprinter. Madness.
  5. Just the one game - Dundee U v Dunfermline (not v Dundee like I highlighted above)
  6. St Mirren and Ayr swapped places as I was typing. Still 5th and loads to change in the next 45mins... St Mirren, 9pts, +2 Raith, 8pts, +1 Dundee, 7pts, +6 (1 game to play on Sun) Dundee U, 7pts, +5 (1 game to play on Sun) ----------------------- Motherwell, 7pts, +3 (M’Well scored more than QOS) QOS, 7pts, +3 Killie, 7pts, 0 Stirling, 6pts, +1
  7. At half time, if my calculations are correct, best runners up sitting as below. We are currently 5th of the 8 teams. Ayr, 9pts, +3 Raith, 8pts, +1 Dundee, 7pts, +6 (1 game to play on Sun) Dundee U, 7pts, +5 (1 game to play on Sun) ----------------------- Motherwell, 7pts, +3 (M’Well scored more than QOS) QOS, 7pts, +3 Killie, 7pts, 0 Stirling, 6pts, +1
  8. http://spfl.co.uk/league-cup/table/- seems t be getting updated close to live.
  9. Hoping for a good win. Decent enough team but quite a few times last season a team put 2+ goals past them. So hopefully we can do the same. Would like to see a strong team start and go for the jugular. Squad looks like being the same from Tues but with McHugh back. For me: Samson Tait Heneghan McManus Hammell Cadden Lasley McHugh Ainsworth McDonald Johnson Following Lionel's positive display on Tuesday I would start him ahead of Thomas. Unfortunately I think there is less chance of an ineffective display from Lionel (...I know) and we need the win. 3-0
  10. Glad it's fir park toon. Means I can get along.
  11. Hopefully they would turn out like Moult and Johnson....
  12. If we do get some decent money it will be interesting to see if the club stick to the 'budget for 10th and no cup runs' idea. Or, if they invest some of it into the team and essentially break that budget.
  13. Last thing on the Hemmings situation. Hartley confirming release clause: https://twitter.com/GavinMcCafferty/status/758584841508192256
  14. In fact...there ye go, 250k: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3562518/Aston-Villa-Queens-Park-Rangers-tabs-Dundee-star-man-Kane-Hemmings.html Pure speculation but it may be undisclosed as the fee is even less than 250k as Dundee are in the financial bother thsts being suggested.
  15. That now makes a bit more sense if its a release clause.
  16. I wouldnt be happy with that as a fee if true. 2 years left and would bring surprised if his goals can be replaced with the amount brought in.
  17. I totally disagree with people saying the 1st half was a terrible performance. We could have been 2 up within about 5 mins and had a barrel load of chances and decent play in the first 45. It wasn't spectacular but it was very very comfortable. Removing Thomas and replacing with Ainsworth made the difference and we became more urgent and direct. They sat in and parked the bus as expected which made it difficult work at times. - Defence looked entirely untroubled. - Sitting midfielders of Las and Clay did fine. But I would like to have seen them bridging the gaps between defence and attack a lot more. At times there was no midfield at alleast which hurt us and left us having to make long pinpoint passes. - Johnson, Cadden Ainsworth all did well and were busy. - Thomas was poor. Needs regular games at a lower level for 6 months I think. - McDonald did fine but could have been more involved. Overall, should have been about 6 or 7. But 3 - 0 will do just fine.
  18. Hopefully Thomas can show tonight and do the the business. As good a chance as any in a competitive match. Lovely weather for it.
