  1. Lucas, Faddy and Campbell scoring for the 20s tonight. Maybe some food for thought for McGhee when subs needed. Hopefully. Probably not.
  2. Yes, it could be - it crossed my mind as well. Regardless, it won't make the players on the bench feel great unless he is also having a word in their ear Machiavellian stylee.
  3. It continually annoys me as well. On one hand, you could say he does not want to put young players on at Ibrox and Celtic Park to be overwhelmed etc. But, as you say...it can often work. Also, every time he says "I look to the bench and have no options" must make all the folk on the bench feel super.
  4. It's not like we are comparing Laing to Maldini and Canavaro here. Out of Laing/Kennedy/Ferguson at centre back, in my opinion, he is back of the queue. There's not much between all 3 of them though... I did think he started to show a bit at right back after a shaky first 45 there up at St Johnstone. Hopefully he does well on loan and stays injury free to get a run of games. Scored at the weekend I noticed. His confidence and sharpness need it.
  5. Coverfor Gray and midfield apparently
  6. Louis Laing was utter shit at centre back. Let's not turn him into a mythical creature who is better than he is. Kennedy and Ferguson rightly ahead of him in the pecking order.
  7. Imagine he comes back and last season was actually just a fluke...scores 3 goals all season. Shit.
  8. He has had 1 decent game in a 'Well shirt. Let's see how it pans out I say.
  9. I would like to see a midfield 4 of Johnson/McHugh/Clay/cadden when all are fit. Johnson playing up a bit as he did last season.
  10. Need to give Blyth more time. But Clay I do agree. Said at the time we didn't need that type of player, as we had 2.
  11. I don't particularly think it's a lack of fitness in the squad. Our movement off the ball last week was utter garbage and we lacked any idea other than get it to Marvin or pump it up high to McDonald. They looked clueless as to how to play the ball if we couldn't get it to the wings. End result was a lot of stationary players lacking the confidence/skill most of the time to make an angle or play a forward pass. Indeed, when Clay played a few decent balls on the deck through the middle it worked pretty well. But it happened little and we had a severe lack of players wanting the ball to play it that way. Shut down Marvin and Lionel and we basically didn't know what to do. I fear we will be playing the same system again today...due to the personnel we have at our disposal. On a positive note...rangers are not that great defensively. So if we can get out the blocks fast and hard confidence should grow. But we need to take our chances
  12. Enjoy. We will give you the full picture since we all know watching highlights really isn't that good a measure of a how well players do for 90 minutes Have a good one.
  13. Nice one. Speak to you then. We will keep you up to date on the performances while you are on your holidays as assuming you can't see the games.
  14. Quite a bit to do with facing Airdrie as well methinks.
  15. Just fine. We are only 3 games into the league season.
  16. Too old for the competition though
  17. Although I probably agree I wouldn't hold yer breath!
  18. Agreed- that be my fear as well. I do want to see us play a 4-4-2.
  19. The only thing I can think of is that we are going to go with a 4-2-3-1 rather than 4-4-2 like last season. 2 sitting midfielders, 3 supporting forward players behind a striker.
