  1. Feature on BBC website today suggests County are ready to use Victoria Park from beginning of season.
  2. That sounds like a set up for a Tayside derby with Dundee.
  3. Apart from Paterson, I don't think we had much to be thankful for out of that last lot.
  4. Given the circumstances, I'm not sure he has fondest memories of our club. However he comes across as a decent bloke who was good enough to be polite to you. Who knows, maybe he doesn't hold any grudges - it's not as though he's ended up skint!
  5. I had a great time in Odense and found the locals very friendly. My one memory of the Danish language is the word "Slutspurt" which appeared on posters in shop windows all over the place. It turned out it means Sale but my puerile mind found it hilarious after a few refreshments.
  6. Being a traditionalist, I'm still trying to get my head round why there isn't just a big pot of the teams that make it through to the 3rd round which is split into seeded or non-seeded and then drawn. It seems mental that they can work out a group of teams who will be drawn against each other in the third round months before they've even started the first round. Way too complicated for me so thanks to the guys who have been working it out. Does anyone know when the draw is? Do we still have to complete the second round before the draw is made resulting in the crazy rush with less than one week's notice before travelling to try and make arrangements? I take it there's no chance they draw our section earlier seeing as they'll know the teams involved pretty shortly? Anyway, hopefully Brugges or Copenhagen for me.
  7. I'm sure the club would give you a prompt response but I would imagine you'll be alright for tickets. To be honest, I doubt the club have considered ticketing arrangements yet so might be vague at the moment.
  8. I got a circular email from Alison Wallace saying I should have received my code by now. I hadn't so emailed her yesterday and she has responded already providing my code. Easy as that.
  9. Hopefully the prices will get in a good crowd for a great party atmosphere from both sets of fans. Really looking forward to a great fun day with no pressure - and it's my birthday. Just got to work out whether to take my son or head to the pub!
  10. Clarkson is still getting treatment at Bristol to recover from his injury. Won't be easy picking up a good deal in his situation.
  11. Sky Sports News' reports varied in length but one of them commented on the guys up the back looking as though they worked out although she was laughing as she said it! They also showed the team going to the fans at the end.
  12. I remember that flick in the Dundee game rather than Aberdeen but it could well have been in both! He scored the winner against Aberdeen with a powerful downward header after a similar earlier effort had been saved. After the game when he ran Celtic ragged the media declared it as his best ever game. People I spoke to wouldn't believe me when I said he had had several better games. Obviously if it's not against the Old Firm it doesn't count.
  13. I phoned to ask a question about my application and was told that the latest open night was such a success that the target had now been reached. She sounded very excited! They still didn't call back to answer my queries though.
  14. Even the most ardent Brown hater must realise he has enough tactical knowledge to tell his players to run at Higdon if he was our centre half. We've got to give a youngster a chance - we've supposedly got a reputation for doing that.
  15. To be fair to the Pars, no-one would have budgeted for Rangers taking tickets and not paying for them but you're right, its for unforeseen circumstances like this that we need this rainy day fund.
  16. Maybe depended on some sort of agreement with, or payment to, Celtic?
  17. I can't see Hearts falling out of it and would put them in at fourth with ICT dropping out.
  18. Top six confirmed today! I would be surprised if we've ever clinched it in February before. Just need to keep plugging away as the games will start to run out for the teams below us if we can maintain or increase our lead. Next few games are certainly winnable but suspensions look as they're going to start having an impact.
  19. Where was that taken? Tynecastle? Easter Road maybe?

Mixu also emphasised the Ma on Sunday's Sportscene.

Did Sportscene show that turn? Brilliant play although I thought the free kick was a bit soft.

    Vs Hearts

BBC didn't mention it but Higdon was offside, pretty sure flag went up.
  23. We wouldn't have had many more trips to Hampden as we've not been drawn against Rangers in the cup very often. Other teams might have had more success but generally even a weakened Rangers would have been good enough to beat most teams. Hopefully another good cup run and strong league placing can see us consolidate our finances.
  24. Our support came out in numbers and rallied round when we went into administration. The first game at Rugby Park was really emotional. Well Worth Saving was set up and yes, the buckets were out. I don't know why anyone wouldn't expect their support to act in the same way and for them to turn out home and away. The administrator is running the business as a going concern so should be paying for the tickets. Dunfermline have been utterly shafted as they were due money before the administrator was appointed (as have Dundee Utd for cup game at Ibrox). I thought there was a rule about football debt having to be paid in full but haven't heard it mentioned for this.
  25. From a purely selfish personal point of view I'm delighted it's moved as the Saturday is my son's birthday and I'll be watching someone making balloon animals! I'm sure the club will be delighted with the TV money as well.
