  1. Seriously doubt that there will be any streams, considering the game isn't being shown on TV anywhere. The team * 01 Randolph * 05 Craigan * 19 Hutchinson * 22 Gunning * 06 Hateley * 08 Jennings * 14 Lasley * 09 Murphy * 11 Sutton * 18 Forbes * 24 Jeffers Substitutes * 12 Hollis, * 03 Hammell, * 20 Page, * 07 Humphrey, * 32 Pollock, * 23 Casagolda, * 33 Smith
  2. Translate that to latin, and make it our club motto!!
  3. I think it has been a while since we've shown this. We get pushed around too easily, our team seriously lacks character, and we have too many players who hide when the going gets tough. As much as I don't want us to turn into Bert Paton's Dunfermline I wish we could show a bit more of a physical presence, or some guts at least.
  4. Should I expect my personal e-mail from the manager any time soon, or is he still having a wee glass of wine at Ibrox
  5. ...the internet. As someone mentioned in another thread, I remember the days when you first found out about a new signing when he was warming up before the game. You could also sign a no-name and he wouldn't be written off from the start because of some wikipedia stats or how shite he is in FM. Also this whole sitting down pish. It's not natural, the seats are uncomfortable, kills the atmosphere, and is no less dangerous than standing. Letting far too many people in and having fucking fences at the front is dangerous, standing up is not. Just look at all the music festivals and gigs. Or, look at all the other leagues who allow standing. They're hardly scraping up dead folk every week along with the pepsi cups. Assign a standing capacity and stick to it. That will be safe enough.
  6. Aye, half of our first choice back four, and our captain playing a few days removed from walking off injured for Northern Ireland. So I reckon that had an influence on the result. As far as rational thinking goes, today we got humped at Ibrox against Rangers, this happens a lot and we haven't found an antidote to this in my time supporting Motherwell, so I'm not going to use today as an indication of how our season is going to go or how good our manager/players are.
  7. How about the 6-1 loss at Tannadice back in 95ish? Or the 7-1 against smellic at FP? Those were embarrasing as Fuck. In fact the most humiliating for me was up at McDairmid Park, when St J beat us by 4 or 5, think O'Boyle scored from a ridiculous distance to finish us off. Think it was Davies' first game in charge. There will be more I'm afraid.
  8. I'd like to see the manager acknowledge this. I know we're not going down, but I don't want to hear a hard luck story about today. He needs to let us know that there's no complacency there and that we'll be fighting for these points in the next few weeks.
  9. It was Rangers at Ibrox, so the only surprise for me was that it was 6 rather than the usual 4. You can go on about them being skint and the like, but their squad is still miles better than ours. I stopped going to Ibrox back in the Gazza days, because the reward of a possible upset win wasn't worth sitting in that shitehole. No Motherwell fan in their right mind should be expecting us to beat them, but I'd expect a bit more of a fight. Maybe we need to completely re-assess how we approach these games. Are we sitting in? The formation suggested as much, but we clearly don't have the personnel for that kind of approach. Or, more worryingly, were we "going for it", and were just unable to create anything? It's always gutting when this happens, but I guess we just have to keep the faith and hope we pick up some points in the next couple of weeks. Hamilton lost :-)
  10. As far back as I can remember we've always been susceptible to a drubbing at Ibrox and Parkhead, that's why I don't count these games. Very few non-OF fans do.
  11. Frannygoal is on, so we can blame the loss on him!!

    John Sutton

I'd say 30-odd goals in 80 games or so makes him half decent. That's on a par with the likes of Skippy, Clarky and Porter. Most of those goals have been in the SPL, so I reckon he's managing not too bad in the top division. Chances are that if he plays as many games for us as Tommy Coyne did he'll have a few more goals.

Saw this in the manager's e-mail, which he sent to me personally: It doesn't seem that people have been creaming themselves as much over Randolph compared to Ruddy but fair play to the big man, and the defence in front of him of course!
  14. The link is hidden on the BBC site for us exiles.

  16. Managers and clubs do this shit all the time, ours is no different. I'd rather have this than him saying "yes, we are talking to Francis Jeffers, and we hope to have him signed up by the weekend", then someone else signs him and we look like fuck ups.
  17. His past record doesn't look good, but all I'm interested in is what he does in the next five months or so. If he can stay fir for that long!
  18. Fact is, we had enough points to stay up, we just got them earlier in the season. A couple of wins on top of our 14 point cushion will probably keep us up this year as well. That's almost 5 wins assuming we don't pick up any more points. Hamilton and St Mirren have won 6 games combined this season. In addition to Hamilton and St Mirren gaining on us, Hibs, Aberdeen, St J and Inverness would also need to go on good runs. These teams are all going to beat each other, and probably lose to top 4 teams, so we won't plummet to 12th as easy as some people want to think. We put in good performances to beat Hibs and Dundee, and played well against Rangers and Kille. The St J game was close with a dodgy penalty deciding it. So us winning a couple of games and landing in 5th seems to be more feasible to me at the moment.
  19. We stayed up, and there were 2 teams below us.
  20. There are 15 games to go, and there are 3 teams and 14 points between us and bottom place. The three teams above us are only one point ahead, and we're only 8 points behind Kilmarnock in 4th with a game in hand. But no one's talking about that.
