Some valid points, but where did the losing the dressing room chat come from? It looks like the players are following instructions, as we know they wouldn't be in the lineup otherwise. On Saturday during a break in the game, Slattery and Alexander had a lengthy discussion and seemed to be in agreement about whatever it was, are they just playing nice in public for the kids? We lost one prima donna and two jobbers to PCAs, it's hardly a players revolt. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

Watt? O'Hara and Lamie? The latter two have played regularly even though they're on the way out. Who else is alienated? SOD is injured (or is he?) There were rumblings about Slattery, but he's been playing regularly again. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  4. Tierney made a few mistakes, but looked the most likely to do anything. He looks like a real find. If the other Irish guy and our summer signings are like him, I'll be ok. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  5. We needed to take those chances. We looked ok on the counter, and that was our best chance of scoring. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  6. Mccart has dropped off this season, and so has Rooney (including injuries). Either would be good for us if they got their form back, but so would half our players. Hendry is weird, they loaned him out to Aberdeen last season and killie this year. Is he high maintenance? Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  7. Sol and Ojala looked really good to start with both but tailed off to being terrible and slow, while lamie progressed from total bombscare to arguably our best defender. My guess is theyre all somewhere in the middle. I'd be very surprised if we're not in the market for a new first choice center back. I'm not going to get worked up about re-signing an experienced backup goalie, the Gillespie/Carson season was a total accident. Just like we ended up with Watt and KVV for a bit there. Was listening to a podcast earlier, and they mentioned Regan Charles Cook as the most improved player this year, which is hard to disagree with. Wonder if any of our squad could be candidates next year if we don't hunt them with pitchforks. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  8. QotS are bottom of the championship, and their defensive record is pretty poor. Johnstone hasn't seen much game time of late, possibly because he plays in their player-managers position. We're not good, but these guys aren't the solution. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  9. The larger squad is deliberate due to covid, as mentioned above. GA has said a few times he prefers a smaller squad. We have about 10 leaving in a few months by the looks of it, so would expect 3 or 4 to come in. What positions they fill is anyone's guess. McGinley isn't going anywhere wheher we like it or not. We literally just re-signed him. The same goes for anyone else under contract, especially those with another 2 years left. Unless they explicitly ask to leave and we're happy for them to, we can't afford to pay out on their contract and pay for their replacement. No one is going to come and take them off our hands, with them being shite and all. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  10. We were poor to a man. We pressed well for a bit, but it wasn't for anything because we were so bad on the ball. Our first touch was woeful, especially up front. Efford was the worst culprit in that regard, frequently giving the ball back to them. To lose that second goal so easily after the restart summed us up. We may have shown spirit this season by coming back so often, but that's usually because we've handed the opposition a soft goal. Carroll seems to have a habit of turning his back to shots. Don't know if that's a normal thing. I do that, but I'm not a professional defender. The penalty just wasn't. Embarrassing that the ref struck a pose, had a think, then realized it was his chance to even up the red card. Tierney, shields and Cornelius should get maximum minutes for the next four games to get them ready for next season. However, I'm concerned that the latter might just be a yard to slow for the role he has. Overall, we need to be less scared of the ball. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

  13. He's prone to the same weirdness as Sol, and just as bad with the ball at his feet. I'm not calling for us to get rid of him, but we have problems if he's our best defender. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  14. Bevis isn't good, but I can't help but like him. The big awkward bastard exorcised the demons of the last time he played up front at livi by making two goals happen by sheer presence. He gets the nod from me because Lamie is a quitter. Kelly in second for his platoon celebration. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  15. I'm also frequently deployed at left back, but just play left wing anyway, cos fuck that, it's the Memphis rec leagues. Carroll isn't good, and while McGinley may be better in some aspects (such as cleverness), he's not my favorite either. However, it does seem unlikely that we'll bring in another LB unless Carroll goes to St. Mirren. A first choice actual center back who has some degree of mobility is a must. I don't care how good looking he is or whether he's culturally Scandinavian. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

Overall, he got us top six with a genuine chance of 4th, while also sucking the joy out of the game. I doubt that the latter will be remembered when tickets go on sale for our euro home clash against Albania's (4th) finest. I wonder if he'll chuck on the reserves for the early European games if we get in, since he won't have the league cup to mess around with. Fair play to GA for sticking to his methods, which ultimately worked. Who knows if it's just pure luck or moneyball data driven magic. It's also clear that the players are sticking to what they're told, we don't panic and we have shown great resolve to push through this shite run and get ourselves back into games where previous teams would have chucked it. It doesn't feel like there's still five games left. Even though there's some interest left, with Europe, finishing above T.Watt, and maybe screwing up a title challenge for someone, I'm already in close season mode. The managers job is to win games and get us as high up the league as possible. If he pulls off the result at the weekend (even if we scrape a dire 0-0 and other results help us out) and we get top six, then he deserves the credit. Just the same as he deserves to get slated if the opposite happens. The style of football hasn't been great, but there aren't any points available for entertainment value. Hopefully we can make a couple of tweaks to the squad and a solid preseason with a relatively settled group will result in more exciting football, kind of how it came together for McLean back in the day after a few years of turgid stuff. It isn't a guarantee, but it's what's keeping me going. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  20. It's been fun watching bitter Richard Tait wind himself up to the point of giving us points. He should have been sent off in the last game for his tackle on Donnelly, but made up for it by getting mugged for the equalizer, then he had a virtuoso display of enabling the opposition with his performance on Saturday. If all we did was hoof it long, but somehow scored 4 goals out of it, maybe they should have tried the same? I'm sure they will now that Robbo is in survival mode. 21. O'Donnell does get way more stick than he deserves. Thought he had a decent game. I expected him to cut onto his right all game, but he played some decent balls into the channels with his left, and could have come away with a goal if their keeper hadn't made a good block. Sol and Lamie were both poor, with frequent daft mistakes between them. The first goal was unfortunate, and more the fault of whatever that was on the right touchline. I can only assume their second stood because the ref got confused by the number of fouls they committed all at once and he panicked. I'm glad Cornelius is getting a real run in the team, hopefully he can cement that place. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

  23. That's some list. Did they nick GAs tombola for it? Looks like they just picked a random player from each non-OF team. Amazing that they decided on Iacovitti from County. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk

If we finish 9th after being 4th for most of the season, he's getting binned. If we finish 6th or above, he'll stay and deserves it. In between is a grey area and we can all fight. Motherwell rules. Sent from my SM-G996U using Tapatalk
  25. If the wages posted on that site we're true (most probably not) you'd need to compare them to those of similar players at other clubs to get an idea of what is ridiculous or what is just market rate. 2k per week may seem excessive, but if that's what every mid table jobber is getting paid, then it's just the market.
