Goal looked offside, and we maybe should have had a pen. We were lucky not to concede one from mugabis handball too. The ball never sat for watt on that chance, he was in trouble as soon as he played it to his left. We need to change our plan of falling over at slight contact, the ref isn't having it from either side so far. Grimmy is playing himself out of the starting lineup. Watching him with the ball gives me that feeling of trying to run away in a nightmare.

Calling an injured player a wage theif implies we should just punt everyone who gets injured, or at least not pay them. Unless you're saying he wasn't really injured. Poor take either way. Dunne was a decent player, and was part of a fun era for the club. We let him go at the right time, and good for him that he got another top flight gig.

It's an annual thing, so for these to be interesting there needs to be a marquee inductee each year, then a mix of legends from different eras. As said above, you also need people that can turn up and accept the award. As such, these inductions aren't in any kind of order, and it gets discussion going. Hammell is more than worthy of a spot, and I'm sure everyone that's deserving will find their way in there.

I wasn't going to go anyway.

The brown challenge that everyone got riled up about was nothing, and Van Veen had two or three worse than that. Brown is still a dick though. I thought woolery was unlucky with his yellow card, as they were just niggly fouls and nothing cynical. It's not his fault that he's a unit. Van Veen and O'Hara deserved theirs, with the latter coming from a pretty reckless aerial challenge. Grimmy had to work hard for his, with JET dragging him along for a bit after his attempted rugby tackle. The best bit was Slattery being a wide-o (is that how you write it?) all game and coming out clean. He's a sneaky wee shite. We know that GA will stick with a winning side, and that's fair enough. I think we will see SOD and Donnelly in as soon as we lose a game. Having both Donnelly and Slattery on the pitch with Van Veen will be some level of wideness, and I'd love to see it at Glasgow away game to generate some hate from those mobs. Liam should have went for the drop kick when that chance bounced off his chest. The 2nd was definitely Ojala's, it bounced behind the line after coming down off the bar.

One of the Aberdeen coaching staff got a red according to twitter.

We showed again that pretty possession between the boxes is meaningless if you don't do anything with it. I can't fault a single player on our team, everyone put in a good shift and did exactly what needed to be done. Three wins on the trot with Mugabi at right back and Grimshaw in midfield. Alexander murderball works. How can you not love Van Veen? What's the chances of Aberdeen bidding for him in January?

I don't see us finishing with 11 men, or a clean sheet, but we handled Aberdeen quite well and should have scored just before we did. Excellent cross from woolery for the goal. Slattery needs to give some lessons on shithousery to the rest of the team. He's a joy to watch.

Rangers don't have anyone in the team, so Patterson is getting a lot of hype despite not playing for his club. He was at best average the other night, which is fine, but SOD has pretty much done the same. We don't get hurt down that side any more than the side with our two big premiership players on it, but no other player/position gets the same scrutiny. A lot of people are spending way too much time analyzing O'donnell, and fair play to him for ignoring it and getting on with his career. No one can take those 20+ caps away from him.

Sondre is a right footer but seems to have played predominantly at LCB. I'd expect that the aim is for him to take over from lamie, unless the latter plays out of his skin and becomes undroppable. I'd also expect Watt and Van Veen to make up 2 of the front 3 most weeks, with some half decent competition behind them.

McGowan is fucking rubbish. Woolery doesn't know how to get himself into a game, and is way too indecisive. He has shown pace, strength and skill in flashes, but isn't getting into dangerous positions. We've got 3 years for him to figure it out. I don't think he's a winger either. Ojala looked better, albeit still rusty, and lamie was solid again. Slattery imposed himself on the game more, he's going to be important for us this season. Watt is just brilliant.

Looked a pretty safe red card there, dumb challenge. Also looked like Kelly made a save from cummings at the end there, we got a wee bit of luck.

Checked youtube, mcskimming was better than I remember Challenging for honors

I'd rather see us improve our game management, something we have been poor at for a while. GAs tactic of defending the box has worked the majority of times, and I guess we will need to get used to it, but I don't think it will ever fill me with confidence. Grimshaw has always been effective at pushing us up the park, and has the work rate that will endear a player to our fans. I agree with the need for a left sided midfielder, which would give us some decent flexibility and balance. Woolery looks like he has the pace to breeze past defenders at will, and uses his strength well, but for some reason he is really negative. Maybe he needs a goal or two, but that effort after being put through by grimshaw was poor. Amaluzor caused their defence some trouble, and it will be interesting to see how he progresses.

Watt was good when we got him into the game, but we didn't do that often enough. Finding a forward line that clicks with him is going to be key to our season. Lamie was solid again. When he stays on his feet and cuts out the nonsense, I almost like him. Went with Grimshaw mainly because he scored, that last ditch block near the end, and the story.
 -
Better performance, great comeback, nice gesture at 34 mins, and Liam Fucking Grimshaw. Have a nice weekend.
 -
Look, Donnelly and Maguire are defenders who play in midfield and aren't available for some reason. Therefore, one of those CBs is a midfielder today.

We are investing all over the place right now, so the community work isn't taking away from our squad improvements, academy, pitch improvements, stadium improvements, and everything else. I'm going to have a guess here, but I'm pretty sure the money we spend on players eclipses that which goes towards community stuff. We also receive funding for those programs from elsewhere. I don't get where the apathy thing comes from, are there any actual examples of apathy from the club towards football operations? We don't know what goes on inside the club all day long, so how do we know that they aren't working every hour trying to improve the squad? The struggles in the transfer market are well documented, we could funnel every last penny we have into player salaries and it still won't move the needle, players don't come to us for the money, so we have to be creative.

	Can he take corners?
 -
SOD Playing hardball. Which is fair enough, he can always fall back on the security of a 2 year deal with us.
 -
Maybe if SODs has the shits for the rest of the season.

We need to run the rule over another goal ace before the window slams shut.

I like when we slap in offers. We should slap in more offers.

Midfield is our biggest problem by a mile, and has been for a long time, and we have signed Slattery and a guy who the manager said is shite in the announcement. Donnelly was good when he had Campbell/Gorrin/polworth/turnbull around him, and he got us a bunch of important goals from set pieces when we had someone who could take them. However, we can't have him and another passenger in there protecting a defence that needs a lot of protection. Maguire is improving, but he isn't a top level starter unless we have someone very good in there to talk him through games, and we don't. He should not be anywhere near set pieces either. O'Hara and Crawford are handy backup players, with the former being a decent bench option in certain occasions. The talk a couple of weeks ago was that we still had 3 or 4 to come in, although that seemed to soften last week. If we are going to stick with the tactics we are deploying, we need a defender who isn't hopeless on the ball, a midfielder who is willing and capable of taking the ball off said defender, and at least one player who can put in a half decent free kick or corner. I think we are probably stuck with the attackers we have. As always, we are one signing or result away from optimism, but things can go the other way pretty quickly too.

We let brown go about 3 years ago and he is only now getting anyone's attention. We can't keep everyone forever. Our support has its fair share of weapons too.
