  1. agree very much !!!!! if you have a ticket for section B1-5 - and expect to sit down - then personally i think you should be looking at swapping your tickets i know people have paid their money...................... but this section is the party section, folk WANT to stand - most FOLK want to stand and the majority will get their way if you have bought a ticket for this section and you have a wean who cant see, or someone elderly and frail, then you really shouldnt have bought for this section - thats not being harsh - thats just stating facts. its been talked about numerous times on here and its on the official website - if you aint done your homework, then thats not the fault of the rest of the STANDERS in B1-5
  2. its in the paper today that United might be going for Rankin of HIbs - available on a free i think he could do a job for us on another note, the paper also report that Killie are looking at some young striker that has been released by Blackburn Rovers - do England have the same thing as the Exit trials??? if so, i hope SMcC is examining this very closely (although I presume every manager will be doing that)
  3. not really - probably 100% accurate, he just loved scoring against those dirty f**kers - i would be the exact same!!
  4. i dont think what we have achieved this season is what required to stand still - i think its more to do with what we have done in the past and the cuts we made, that we dont need to do it now (when everyone else is) was there not a post from ages ago, probably from Flow, that said we had to make cuts but it would stand us in good stead?!? anyway, i think depending on certain players performances in the final (shop window) could decide whether they stay or move on. my opinion is that : Jennings is away back down south Sutton - still undecided, will only leave if a funny money offers comes in (Billy Mehmet / Connor Salmon) Murphy - if he shines in the cup final, someone might be tempted to take a chance Randolph - already rumoured with Ipswich, but from my ITFC supporting mate, he says they are already after some Wigan keeper Craigan - think he will take another 1yr deal (might leave if he gets more of security offer ala Fitzpatrick) Jeffers - think this one will depend on whether we lose Sutton / Murphy
  5. Randolph came to us so that he could get first team football - that first team football has got him to the Ireland squad He wont want to throw that away - however, money does indeed talk - but when he leaves it will be to a team that prmoises him first team football ( i know there are no gurantees) and one that still keeps him in the "limelight" i'd like him to stay - but can we refuse the money? as above, this is the best time to sell
  6. i agree he will have offers aplenty - however, I dont see him going down south. He's settled here and due to the geography of scotland and the close proximatey of all clubs to the central belt, he can have his pick of clubs without having to move house. So if someone offered him wads of cash and he doesnt have to move like Clarky, Jimbob or Ports then i think he will take it. I'd be gutted to see him go, but he has to look after no 1 - him and his family he may surprise us and stay - who knows!!!
  7. i'm not miles off - maybe yards! between me and my mates we have quite a few season tickets - we will be using the full quota to accomodate our friends, so that we can all sit together we have a mixture of those who go every week, those who only go to home games, lapsed ST holders and one who has only went to all our cup games all season IF, and its a big IF, we have any left over - i will kindly make 2 available for you and your uncle or should that be vou et votre oncle?!?!?! your wee side note thingy says you stay in shotts - surely there must be other Well fans out there who could help you out can we set up some sort of sub section - for folk who live in other areas that are not Motherwell or immediately outside Motherwell something like - Harthill, Shotts and Edinburgh Fife North Scotland Ayrshire Overseas that way, if folk who live in these areas who have a spare voucher in their season ticket, or have ordered too many - can make it known? as can people who live in these areas who are looking to tag onto someone else for a ticket? either way - my offer still stands, if I have spares, i will PM you and you can have first refusal
  8. shut the f**k up and settle down now that we are calm - 1 - we do not have 4700 season ticket holders - so your calculation is miles out 2 - 4 per season ticket is fair - IF you did have a season ticket, and you went with your 3 mates (who didnt have a ST) you'd be on here moaning that its crap we are only offereing 2 per ST and that you cant sit next to them 3 - not every ST holder is going to take the full allocation - there will be tickets for you and your mates and your family to all those people who say PATG punters pay more into the club - I agree, but you pay more of YOUR money into the club - but it doesnt help the club out. The club needs the money at the end/start of the season so it can function on a day to day basis - ST money is of paramount importance to the club. this isnt a case of I'm better than you, or you are better than me. People need to chill out and stop panicking. Yes we had about 30k in '91 at Hampden, but we had 16000 in 2005, and we had about 7/8000 for the St J semi final If you really really want a ticket - you will find a way of getting one If you dont know anyone with a season ticket, you are either not trying hard enough or you have no mates - or you are in the wrong circle of friends and they all support some other team (which means you should find new mates!) afterall the moaning about tickets on here - what still pisses me off is that everyone finds the need to sit down and not support the team. Our support is as bad as St Johnstone, St Mirren and Accies Anytime you see a United, Aberdeen, HIbs, Hearts even Killie - they are all standing singing supporting their team - maybe we should try that!!
  9. not alot of chat on this considering the game is tomorrow not sure what to think, surprised me we got a result the last time considering we played a "weakened" team - our bubble has to burst soon, and so does their bad run hope its not tomorrow and fingers crossed for a 2-1 well win Maurice Ross and Este or Pollock to score their first goals for the club!! "in yer gorgie slums"
  10. I'm with the fringes here.......... Maurice Ross ahead of Saunders and Hately at RB - every time Saunders will be on the bench...... Hately for me will make McCall really think about his team........... Ross should get the nod at RB, we aint Arsenal who play all their youngsters in the cup - we need to play our strongest team. No room for sentiment, no one plays just cos they helped get us there - we play to win it will be between Jeffers and Hately, Hately will play if we go 451 - Jeffers will play if we play 442 For me, the rest of the team picks itself
  11. i despise Celtic, probably more than the next man - I hate everything about their club and what it stands for however - IF and its a big IF..........we were to beat St. J and the league was not yet won, and it depended on THEM beating us - I would be cheering them on!!! Don't get me wrong, Skippy Sunday was great, Owen Coyle day at Ibrox was awesome - but seeing us getting into Europe again is better than a GIRUY to them losing the league (its posted now! but is this scenario correct???? Celtic win the league, us and Celtic get to the final - we're in Europe?? - does it not fall to the 4th placed team in the league? was that not the chat after the Dunfermline, Gretna and whoever else shambles?)
  12. unless you work for a bank or the council - how many folk on here actually get Easter off? i was always under the impression that holidays were always more English orientated i'm glad I aint a ............... fan Monday April 25 St Johnstone v Inverness CT – 2pm (ESPN) Hamilton Accies v Aberdeen – 4.15pm (ESPN) or potential relegation settler (it could be done before then) Monday May 2 St Mirren v Hamilton Accies – 3pm (ESPN) The SPL really dont give a fuck about fans - however, you could argue the clubs agree to a TV deal, so they are just as bad
  13. Stuwell - i would happily throw a game if it meant we would get into Europe Can you imagine if this scenario happened - we beat Celtic, they lose the league, and because of that we are £???k worse off Money talks - if this situation actually arose - can you seriously fault Motherwell for NOT winning the game?
  14. Jenno can go for nothign - he is out of contract Murphy - i think if the Rangers buyout goes through - he will be on his way there. McCoist has already expressed an interest in Goodwillie and Conway - i think he will get one of them - and then they will come for Murphy It will all come down to whether or not Murphy wants to take his chance and go, or wait for a move down south. (he might be shit next season and not get a chance again v can Motherwell afford to refuse the money?)

    A Request

i thought Forbes was ok - nothing more, nothing less, few good, few bad interestingly, I took a mate to the game last night, he's been a few times before but tonight was the first night he had seen Forbes play. the first thing he said "who's that number 18 - he looks as if he has no confidence" wonder why that is?!?!?!? as for the fans shouting at McCall - i'm not surprised - i sit in the East and I too was willing him to make a sub - it was clear that the players were knackered. On 73mins - Craigan gestured to the bench that the Hump was struggling and he should change it, he did the same 10 mins later. At the end of the game - nearly all our players slumped to the ground! (a great site - in terms that they are giving us their all) we cant moan too much - WE WON, although it was helluva nervy in the last 15 mins!!
  16. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/9446457.stm Peter Houston really is a c*nt we know out pitch isnt the best in the world - but neither is theirs. Our pitch hasnt stopped us playing nice football on it why cant reporters ever challenge these clowns i hope we pump them now - not beaten us at FP this season so far - lets hope it continues

    Maurice Ross ?

i agree that when he played that anchor role - he looked good, but that was part of a midfield three and anytime we play two central midfielders, i dont think he looks as comfortable all will depend on who stays / goes in the summer and who he brings in. i think he himself, wants to play CM, however we, the fans, think he is better at RB!
  18. weesacs

    Maurice Ross ?

thought he had a very good game very impressed with his distribution - always looked for a pass rather than "launch" it up the line and ((5 his pass rate was successful as mentioned earlier - looks more natural there and expect him to certainly make that slot his own from now until the end of the season experienced player and certainly a good and valuable addition to the team
  19. Dave - is there any reason in particular why you want to sit in there? The view? Facilities? I've been in there a few times, Scotland games, Well / Queens Park games - but I do not see the appeal. I agree with Big Pie - If I had my way, I'd be in the North Stand - but money dictates its the family section for me (£35 or £66 - so its a no brainer for me)

    Hampden

The layout for our game is shambolic - nothing more to be said on that, totally draining any atmosphere from the game The reason for this I believe is that in the other semi final - Aberdeen and Celtic could easily see a 30-40k+ crowd - now if the tickets for their game are priced at : SOUTH STAND – SECTION O: £25 SOUTH STAND – SECTIONS P1 AND P2: £22 NORTH STAND – SECTIONS C4 AND C5: £22 WEST STAND – SECTIONS B4 AND B5: £18 WEST STAND – SECTIONS B6 TO B8 (FAMILY): £15 / 5 Then, so no one complains - our game has to be offered the same. Difference is - both those teams have the fan base, whereas us and St. J do not Best thing to do, would be just not hold it at Hampden Anyway - it is what it is and we cant change it. I'm going to put my neck on the line here and wait to be slaughtered.................. This singing section is that - a singing section - and most of the people who are going to want to purchase a ticket in this section are those who are normally at the south side of the east stand. If you dont already know, most people in this section like to STAND at the games. If you are thinking of buying a ticket for this section, do us all a favour and leave the "gonna sit down, ah canny see" at home tin hat on - but our supporters seem to have lost the use of their legs for 90mins - most other fans like to stand, look at United the other night. And whether you like it or not standing generates more of an atmosphere than sitting
  21. would it be wrong for the club to "cold" sell the buses??? when someone goes in and asks for a ticket - they should be asked, do you want a seat on the bus? makes no difference to me as Im closer to Hampden than Motherwell, but for some reason I do think running official buses helps put bums on seats
  22. Am I reading this wrongly??? http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2011/03/31/breakfast-tickets-transport/ Cooper Family Package - Adults £30, Kids £15.......(presume West Stand Family section) Adult Ticket for the game £15 - bus is £5, so £10 for a roll and a cup of tea???
  23. nice reply Dee tell everyone to keep up the good work you are never going to keep everyone happy, but a well written reply goes some way to losing the tag of "silly wee boys" good luck with the "till rolls" - let us know how you get on and how folk can support you guys and let us know where the "standing" singing section is we need to do all we can for the semi final as there are going to be about 40000 empty seats SMOKE BOMBS FLARES!!

    Dundee Utd

went for Murphy - terrorised Watson, 2 bad touches in the second half - could have seen him have a hat trick! Jenno was awesome, and as some else said earlier, set the game up in our favour - Even the Juke commented on Jenno last night Jeffers showed his quality tonight - his touch is sublime and showed that altho he may have lost a bit of pace, he still is a step ahead of everyone else very close call - 11 wonderful performances from the potential new C&A heroes!!
  25. ticket prices were great last night - me, the mrs and the wean, all in for £25 what does Saturday bring? £44? big difference guy in my work just came and spoke to me (him and his boys are Celtic daft - live in Wishy) and he said his boy (6yrs old) came in from school yesterday asking to go to the game with his pal. And he loved it !! And altho they are Celtic fans, the guy has always said, if his boys want to go to Fir Park - he will take them. BUT THE PRICE NEEDS TO BE RIGHT - its why they dont go to Parkhead - just too expensive now come Saturday - if his boy gets the rush to come again - can he magically produce "the normal price "for the tickets??? Not really We cant encourage folk to come along at the price we charge
