    Vs Hearts

its fine - Willie Kinniburgh doesnt play for us anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. weesacs

    Vs Hearts

Hearts have only won 2 games away from home in the league all season They are averaging approx 0.6/0.7 goals per game Those stats point to a Hearts win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A win would be massive - Come on Ye Well!!!!
  3. weesacs

    Vs Hearts

massive massive game for us...............a win would put us 9 clear, a win for Hearts means we would only be 3 ahead theyve not travelled that well this season, only winning 2 games away from home, so we need to try and take advantage of that, as our home form recently has certainly picked up would certainly accept a win over Hearts and a defeat to Hibs - a defeat to Hearts isnt disasterous, but I do think it puts pressure on us for the Hibs game or we can be greedy and want 6 points from our next 2 games! they dont strike fear into me like they used to, but they still have a team who are capable of causing us problems - hopefully their run of games mean they will still be suffering from tiredness and we can take advantage
  4. I understand the last few matches at home have been ICT, the midden and Queens Park, but where have the singers gone? where has the atmosphere gone? where have, as some so eloquently put it, "all the wee neds" gone that make any sort of positive atmosphere? most of the fans appreciated it, the players did and McCall did too - please come back!!!! Bring your flags, bring your drum and sing for 90mins!!!! Tannadice was very quiet without you, and as mentioned above - Fir Park has been the last few home games. With the amount of player abuse on here and at games, your voice needs to be heard Lets try and vocally support the team tonight, drown out the negative arseholes and see if we can spur the team on to victory Up the 'Well
  5. he did - he shot the fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he needs a few more 90mins under his belt so the club can assess him more - can he last the pace yet? whats his match fitness like? we dont want another "athletic" Forbes on a long term deal money is tight - we cant speculate to accumulate, we need to make sure the player is right for this club and if that means we put ourselves at risk from the vultures, then its one we have to accept
  6. 442 is a must - we must go at them from the off randz, hateley, hutch, craggs, hammell, murphy/hump, las, jenno, law higgy henrik attack attack attack Daley deserves to be dropped, he was rotten on saturday hump roasted them up there and i think he should be given a chance again needs to be two up front - its when Higgys at his best and its when others can profit from what he does an early goal from us will kill this off, however, as someone else mentioned - if they score first..........fir park will be a hellish place to be and they will sit in for the points (and we wont be able to break them down)
  7. did you not see Craigan after the game?!?!?!?! lol
  8. not sure who they played this year................but last year they drew Man U in the cup at Old Trafford...............70000 people paying £40 per ticket, half the gate money and TV money.........bumper pay day for them
  9. i agree with steelboy and ya beezer.....................for Forbes to succeed, we need to play a 5 man midfield and he needs to have the assurances that he doesnt have to track back (because he cant do it!) he blossomed under Gannon, because Hateley was the deep lying midfielder.....................something I think Hateley still thinks he is - but thats another argument!! Majority will agree he is far better at right back you cant argue he has talent, a sweet left foot, an eye for a pass and excellent at dead balls............but I dont see any manager coming in and building a team around Forbes. If he had the Humps pace...............or the Hump had Forbes footwork, passing ability, delivery of a cross...............they wouldn't be at Motherwell!! time for him to move on for his own sake............although he may look at Fitzpatrick and think I aint going anywhere!!!
  10. Adult Season Ticket - open to offers think im going to give up on going to Fir Park - apparently I go there for entertainment purposes........but it hasnt been entertaining for some time now - and even the atmosphere has gone turning the place into a graveyard w3 d3 l4, scored 7 goals, which 3 were 4/5 months ago and in one game - 1 goal in December against the Midden, 1 goal in November against Celtic its clearly better to follow Motherwell away from home so i'm looking for some offers, so that I attend some of the remaining away fixtures.............train days out, sing song and some goals (things you dont see at the 'Arc)
  11. http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2011/12/29/rangers-tickets-still-on-sale/ I know the above link says so - but i cant ever remember us getting tickets on the day from this place im thinking of going now, but dont want to make a wasted journey anyone know??
  12. surprised it hasnt been posted, but this is fantastic gesture by the club, especially at this time of year when the pennies are even harder to come by : Fans of @MotherwellFC look out for a statement coming soon from the Club announcing free transport to the huge Xmas eve game at @JamTarts.We need a huge and vocal @motherwellfc support on Saturday and for Xmas eve to back the superb efforts of our team and management in 2011. will it persuade an extra few hundred to travel? hopefully so, my only fear is that its not "all ticket" - this ruins any atmosphere we are able to create well done Motherwell
  13. would obviously love the 3 points but im happy with a point!! to keep our existing form on the go we need to change about a bit and play narrower as someone else mentioned - whether this means dropping one of the wide men and playing the other up front i'd like to see 442 diamond randz hateley heid craggs hammell jenno shug las law murphy higdon although the Midden will pass the ball around, i still think they will come and park the bus. we need to be disciplined but adventurous, dont throw bodies forward for the sake of it but we do need to try and create good chances for Higdon or Shug/Law/Murph need to try and create something out of nothing - stop trying the Arsenal way of walking the ball into the net and sometimes - just have a shot!!!!!!
  14. Dazzer - i like to think i give an honest assessment of what I see and how I see it, and not through C&A tinted specs! Watching Humphrey play is frustrating!!! I cant say he is shite, but he seems to do the hard part well, and do the "easy" bit not so. Even when he came on at Perth on saturday, at one point 3 players closed him down, (so yes this benefits the team as other players now have more space - but that only works if he can get the ball to them and i do agree with this happening has benefitted Hateley or whoever has been playing RB) we're 3rd in the league, McCall rates him and he's played hisn part in getting us there, so if he does go - he goes with thanks and best wishes from me
  15. if thats true - i cant see Forbes staying, i think there may be an agreement if he can find somewhere else - he will be allowed to leave would like to tie Jenno up again - but I cant be bothered with saga that seems to come with him Lasley - yes, Hammell- yes - been two of our better players this season someone above mentioned teams have sussed Humphrey, and I think thats very true..............he cant be that shite to be attracting interest from elsewhere, but if the ££ quoted are true, then we need to accept it. Daley has already shown he can come in and do a good job, and there are no additional funds needed to find a replacement
  16. if we are going to start playing with 4 in midfield, then Nicky Law needs to be more disciplined - he cant keep roaming to the other side of the park - he done that way too often against Hibs and left Hammel exposed but i like Peter's team!
  17. i want to be the first to complain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the school i went to, there was me...................eh, and me...........and maybe 2 others who supported Motherwell out of 600+, most of them were h**s even in my younger days, i managed to persuade them to come to Motherwell games - they especially enjoyed Airdrie and Falkirk away at the fence!!! but it was never enough to make them permanent fans
  18. i got a phone call last night advising that i have to collect my 2 tickets from the office today - so i'd advise anyone who requested one and has not received it to check their phone/email in case they have to do similar
  19. its hard to criticise the team when we are sitting clear in 3rd. but as has been mentioned so many times, there are clearly some problems with firepower at home. what we all need to accept these days is that other teams are quite happy to come to Fir Park, sit in (park the bus) and take a point - thats a good result for them! (so its a back handed compliment) we need to try and be more creative, we need to learn how to shoot - if you dont shoot, you dont score!! we might get a cheeky deflection like Charlie Adam the other day against Chelsea, we might get a corner from it - we might even score! But if we dont take that chance - we will never know. Too often we focus on playing the ball out wide, whilst i dont really have a problem with that, 2 things need to happen - we need to get bodies in the box and it needs to be a good delivery - neither have been very good this season(at home) I would really like Hughes to play tomorrow, but IMO it cant be a straight swap from Las - he doesnt have the workrate in him.
  20. its bad english grammar to use a double negative!!!!!! Anyway, to quote what you have said about going straight to the game and to quote David below - i think thats part of the problem for Motherwell FC. With Aberdeen - an extremely high % of their fan base will live and work in Aberdeen - the same can not be said of our support. I would guess that the vast majority of our support commute to Glasgow / Edinburgh / Livi. The other advantage that Aberdeen has is due to the nature of the work up there - oil&gas/fishing/dairy - they either finish early enough to get home or they work a "9 day fortnight" - meaning they could potentially be off on a friday anyway. The people I have put forward have not yet received their ticket...............and as Ya Beezer mentioned above, lots of folk may well be going straight to the game. It would be extremely embarrasing for the club if this happened. Why should someone pay £10 to watch the game, if they have been offered the chance to watch it for free? I'm hoping that over the course of the day more people post to say tickets have been falling through the letter box - i'm coming round to the fact that Friday's at Fir Park could be good. Few beers before the game, everyone in jovial spirits, increases the atmosphere and for the socialites amongst us, its not too late to head out for a few more beers after the game.
  21. as has been discussed before, the club have roughly x000 season ticket holders, they know/expect to recieve £x00,000 from season ticket sales to help them tick over....................so why cant we do the same as Bradford? Say to the fans, we need to get £x00,000 from ST sales, the more fans that sign up, the cheaper the tickets will be or Huddersfield.................... or Hartlepool........
  22. think we will struggle to score here..............and Daly will once again bully our defence obviously want to see us win, but i think there might have to be some tactical tweets to get us over the line and take all the points - we just can't score at home would be nice to see Law, Las, Jenno and Hughes all play.......but that would leave 1 place for Murphy, Humphrey and Daley roll on saturday
  23. i took advantage of the buy an adult season ticket, get a child one free.............. does this mean I can get another 2 free tickets for the Hibs game? the reason I ask is that there is no name on the kids ticket,- as it was just handed to me at the ticket office - but thats one of the fields needing to be completed in the email to the club anyone know????
  24. initially i was against it too.....................but as it approaches, im more for Friday night football - every week! (apart from ICT / Dons) the only downside for me, as mentioned above, is the incentive now in place. Dont get me wrong, its good that the club had made this offer - but it certainly detracts from the initial proposal as its far from like for like now
  25. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_cups/scottish_cup_fix/default.stm this saturday i think
