  1. If I get a deal for the East stand to take my kid for next to free then I'd be there , my wee boy is 9 and likes his football, but he doesn't like the Cooper for watching at all, I personally don't mind if it's a decent seat, but I still prefer the East since I've sat there since it opened in 91.

Why not tie it in with the 125 year 'celebration'? You get exposure twice then.

that would certainly swing it for me - I made reference to that in my survey

my boy loves his football, but he is becoming increasing frustrated that we are "rubbish" and the lack of atmosphere! - and the questions on the way home start "how can we not beat St Mirren?" blah blah blah Im not going back!!

and true to his word, he has missed alot of games this season. I sit in the East Stand, and I cant afford to buy him a ticket, if he is not going to attend. In turn, if he doesn't go, I cant go. As I will need to find something else to keep him entertained

Is the "Bradford" scheme even a go-er? or do we just not have the fan base for it?

As for the poster who mentioned having the Well Shop in the Town Centre - I can see a litlle from where you are coming from, but as someone who doesnt come from Motherwell, having the club shop at Fir Park is certainly more convenient for me.

    However,

1 - we do not own the Well Shop, it is owned by Provan Sports,

2 - if we were to "take a place" in the town centre, we would need to be paying rent - now I have no idea what it costs to rent out a retail outlet, but it wont be cheap and this needs to be balanced with what extra revenue we bring in

3 - would folk actually use it? seriously? I really dont think they would

4 - as mentioned above, if the Well Shop is owned by Provan Sports - do they not have the rights to selling our kit etc? meaning MFC would open a shop, but couldnt actually sell any replica strips?

As much as all my points above probably put stumbling blocks in the way of your suggestion, I do still agree that we need something there - i just dont think a shop is the answer!

  2. Reasons why I'm probably not renewing:

Cost of SPL matches far too expensive for the quality of football played, increasingly finding junior matches better value for money, ie SPL matches are not 4 times better than the Stagecoach Premier League.

Treatment of Diddy Club's fans by too many in authority.

Messing around with kick-off to suit TV rather than fans.

Despite the spin coming from FP on occasions it does seem like the players cannot be bothered playing for the club.

As a football fan I'll still pop along to 'Well games regularly but next season I'll pick and choose which games to go and see.

out of all the replies - this is the one I agree with most / category I fall into

not that I go to Junior games! but the rest of it yes - i would rather gamble my money away on a saturday with a chance of getting something back - than pay £20+ to be treated like a criminal, told to sit down and watch guys who dont give a flying ****

for the fist time in 20 years, i wont have a season ticket - i may pop along when the special offers are on (although they shouldn't be special offers - thats what it should cost to go to the football)

  3. Edinburgh isnt a million miles away - get yourself on a bus and enjoy the night!!

just like we did when we played Hearts at Easter Rd

for the replay against Utd I think the club should make the tickets for this game £35 - no concessions/kids prices

anytime we play in front of a big crowd at FP - not against the OF - we always seem to lose!! keep the fans away, and win quietly!!

i was hoping for an immediate replay in the hope that we get Utd in the middle of their fixture pile up - im sure they will be delighted that they will now have a long recovery period to get some of their players back/rested

  4.

Got to move it to Easter Road, surely?

whilst I certainly agree our semi final (IF WE MAKE IT THERE) should NOT be played at Hampden, I still dont know if it should be played at Easter Road

for arguments sake, say its us v St J - I very much doubt both clubs would take more than 6000 each to the game - that would still mean a half empty stadium (or dont sell upper tier tickets) Although it would allow a ticket for everyone who wants to go

I know semi-finals are "special" and some people want them played at the National Stadium - but for me, nothing beats the thrill of a packed stadium with a great atmosphere - even somewhere like East End Park would house all the fans, but then playing a semi final at a 1St Division stadium really doesnt get you excited!!

Playing this game at Hampden IMO is disasterous - even worse if its Brechin - but as Gaag says, would the SFA chiefs move it away from Hampden?

  5. Out of that 3500, how many aren't aware of the survey? How many think it is a waste of time (based on previous experience)?

thats my main gripe.......i'll fill one in just now, but how many others weren't aware?

I dont buy programmes anymore so I wouldn't have known about it there.

Is there a presumption being made that everyone has access to the web?? or even comes on to this website?

  6. Cristiano and Giuseppe -

you guys are absolutely off your head to come to Fir Park!!!

however I do admire your enthusiasm and hope you have a great time, oh and bring us some much needed luck for Sunday's game!

If you are arriving on Friday, then I would probably spend the day in Edinburgh - seeing the sites and enjoying the pubs there (certainly alot better than Glasgow and Motherwell)

  7. find them all and give them all FBOs!!!

    this is a serious offence

in fact, see if thet'd just allow folk to sit on those seats at the front - less folk might feel the need to pile to the front for a GIRUY to the opposing fans

failing that, give us our standing area back and get the fences erected like the ones that used to be at Tynecastle!

  8. Higdon always bullied Craggs and Reynolds - but hopefully Hutch will keep him in check. He is certainly good at putting himself about.

as for the above poster - you say that we have come into a bit of form but you also say you want Humps back in the team - I dont understand this, the last two games we have changed formation - a formation that DOES NOT suit Humps or Jones. Playing a midfield 3 - you cant play wingers.

I think or Im hopeful that we will win, but we wont make it easy for ourselves. We need to get 3 points to keep ahead of those around us

  9. from the highlights........

    nice free kick from Forbes

nice to see Murphy putting his foot through the ball (rather than some powder puff shots in previous weeks)

nice foot work shown by Jeffers

nice header from Jeffers for the goal, but what an amazing cross from Craigan!

as for their goal.....good play from Aluko and clever play from Blackman - if he gets in front of Craigan, why should he move???

but all in all - GIRFUY Broon. we'll pump your other team on saturday

  10. who picked him? it seems fairly obvious and the reason he got it is because he's enthusiastic and willing to work with the resources we have (which is the same reason gannon and brown got it).

i agree with most of what you are saying - if we flourish and do well, we dont have the money to keep a team together, players will always be attracted to more money (even Las and Hammell -who are MFC stalwarts now)

for what we are, we always seem to do well

but McCall is working under far more contraints and restrictions then either of the two mentioned above

i also agree that this summer is huge for us - but at the same time, i certainly do not see an influx of players - so all those who love the transfer gossip - i think will be disappointed

  11. Also good to hear Hately get some good reviews. Looks like right back is the best place for him?

Hopefully we see more of Hately, Murphy and Forbes all being played in their best positions, and they can show what they can do and get a few folk off their backs.

is it not Hately though who thinks he is a midfielder???

ask the fans and the vast majority will say RB is his position

  12. ........we must have won last night.

Seriously, lets give the management team and all his players (I can say that now cause Gow has fucked off) our backing from now to the end of the season. OK, he may not have been many peoples 1st choice but he is here now, let him get his feet under the table, put his mark on the team and lets see where he can take us.

why would we want to do that???? suppose we can enjoy it whilst we can - cos I fear a defeat on Saturday :(

Although we are due to scud them sometime soon - lets hope it is this saturday and follow up by defeating the Midden too

  13. i would love a win but it ain,t going to, happen is it? so, i would let the young guns go for it allowing our 1st team players to recover in order for us to get a win on tues v dons (hopefully). as long as it is not by a big margin as it could affect their confidence, i suppose. so i,ll sacrifice a ??narrow defeat on sat & a big win on tues

I kinda agree with that - anyone carrying any niggling injury - give them another couple of days rest

The Aberdeen game is waaaay more important that this one - in saying that, I'll be happy with 2 wins!!!!!!! :P

  14. i have been everywhere with Scotland - some nice, some not so nice - but always enjoyable

Scotland fans are far better than Motherwell fans in how they support their team. And for all the Motherwell trips I have been on, none of them top Scotland trips, well except maybe Nancy!

However, I would always choose Motherwell before Scotland!

  15. £82,000 if your game gets on the tv from Sky.

Or 4100 £20 pay at the gate punters.

    You work that one out.

ok ok.......you got me, but I sold myself short

what i was meaning was that for a club like Motherwell, surely the paying public pay more per season, that what we recieve from Sky - therefore, surely we are more important

or, if that one isnt clear either

if Motherwell could only recieve payment from one source, either fans OR tv - who gives them more money?
