  1. good luck Marc..............you go with my best wishes

agree with an above post that folk up there probably know more about football than some in the east stand - a refreshing change for him

even with all the abuse he got - he still finds it hard to leave us

i'd much rather have him than Forbes

roadrunner - please pass on my best wishes

  2. Hi, Stockport County fan here. Presumably you have all heard about Casagolda's "come and get me" plea.

    Link here

Obviously he hasn't done the business so far this season for you but how has he looked on the occasions he has played?

    Thanks in advance.

hi phil - has there been any posts or information or your forums

as above, we had pages upon pages of crap posted about him - it would be interesting to know if he, his agent or some other person does the same on ur forum

  3. i dunno who i fancy..............just into the next round will do

threave would be good as i havent been to that ground, been to the other two - however, it would be a massive ticket scramble, and i dont fancy another Locos type thing where the game is always going to be called off!!

Stranraer would be a great day out..........again! stop off for a chippy on the way home, they mustve made a fortune!!!

Stenny - been there but only for a friendly, so a nice atmosphere in the terracing could be good! Would they fancy their chancies against us??? Small stadium, artificial pitch?? or would they ask Falkirk if we could play there and whoever wants to go - can easily get a ticket? (is that even an option?)

for the first time this season, i am glad i have a season ticket!!! :wank:

  4. a bit harsh on fitzpatrick i think

yes he misplaced some passes yday, but several players were guilty of that. its just that some appear to notice it more when its him

i agree that he aint no world beater, but he does a job

he does alot of dirty work, that no one else wants to do - and that goes unnoticed by some

and on the subject of some fans who were majorly critical of big John - i hope you are eating your words!!!!

  5. Surely as its a semi final and a neutral venue we should have half of the tickets (less the corporate/media/VIP), or are they not using the top tier in the North/South Stands ?

we will not sell all our tickets, never mind fill half the stadium

@The Craig - we got the "away" stand and I think the family section we had was the front section of the main stand.......someone can clarify. I had tears of joy that night, then ended up getting chased in edinburgh outside some night club!!!

as per the £15 tickets, i'm guessing here, but Aberdeen will take double whatever we do, and so will Rangers and Celtic, therefore they will have more of the seating areas "open". IIRC, when watching previous semi finals involving OF v non OF, then the smaller team has had half the main stand and the corner section - and from behind the goals round to the North Stand has been empty

  6. doesnt seem to be much interest in this game from the posters - maybe cos everyone is still raging over the Brown scenario

couple of weeks before xmas - tuesday night - on TV..........i'm going for a low crowd and a defeat! pesimistic or realistic? Obviously I will be over the moon if I have to eat my own words, but they are on form right now and appear to be firing on all cillinders

boring game, terrible support and a terrible advert for scottish football on tv

    2-1 - Hearts,

lets hope Youngy doesnt do a Neale Cooper/Neil Simpson and he can get one over Jefferies

  7. i would love to see increased attendances at FP and get the atmosphere back - you cant deny its a good place to be when the fans are backing the team. On the downside, we'd need to start queuing for a pee again!!!

did you not like the idea of getting local schoolkids and amateur teams in?? could this work?

even the group that I sit with now at the football is dwindling away - family or work commitments or even just having "something better" to spend our money on

Motherwell and its surrounding area is an extremely large catchment area - why do folk not want to come? Bellshill, Uddingston, Viewpark, Mossend, Holyton, New Stevenson, Newarthill, Cleland, Newmains, Carluke, Law, Lanark, Larkhall........any others? there must be loads of schools/teams in this area? What is the total population of the areas listed above? And what % is 4/5000 of that figure?

do you seriously think the club will offer £50 back for "recommend a friend"? I'm not dissing your idea, cos I am certainly open to anythig that will bulk the crowds up, but I honestly dont think that will work. JB has tried several schemes already, and nothing has worked.

  8. great post and great idea.........however I'm afriad it isnt going to happen

no matter how good we are playing, or how bad we do........our support rarely changes. cup final in 91, cup final in 05, occasional one off games at Fir Park - yes folk have come out to support us, but there must be more than 1 reason that they dont come every week.

coming from EK, i've tried to be an ambassador for the well but its a haven for hunville and timville - but ive managed to persuade some to come for many years. But with the crowds as low as they are these days and the atmosphere near enough non existant - its hard to encourage folk to come - theres no fun left in the game - for that reason only, its only the diehards who will part with their cash (and too much at that) and attend games

i think the club should move everyone from the Cooper(controversial!), and offer the family deals in the POD or East Stands and offer the full DC to local schools/football teams - not just one off games, but for the full season. The only way we are going to get more fans is if we get the younger ones hooked. There is little chance that someone who is 20+ is going to have their head turned and be claret and amber

  9. Pero no te preocupes, me han dicho que el nuevo gerente va a conocer la manera de Fir Park como lo ha estado aquí antes, tal vez hace dos años.

like most on here, i was astounded when the casa mania hit fir park!

    you are indeed a legend

are you now providing us with inside info?

  10. Thought that might be possible myself being an assistant to Leitch ?

who was it that Leitch didnt like???? i remember that coming up ages ago....Lasley?? I'm sure it was talked about on here

I know Gannon didt like Craigan(did he like anyone?) as he felt the other players had too much respect for him!

  11. Can't remember the quote but sounded very much like he thought McGhee or Leitch was a possibility. Something about "Someone who's been here before or someone out of the blue". Mind you, I s'ppose that could apply to Butcher as well. Just caught my attention...

i took that as if he meant just someone with experience, not literally "been (t)here before"

  12. Craig Brown should recall that it was Motherwell who gave him a tremendous opportunity to become manager of a SPL team and take him out of obscurity. To do what he has done today proves he has little integrity and NO loyalty.

and is that not the same as Scott McDonald?? but whats important to them? Motherwell fans liking them? or more money in their sky rockets?

  13. As far as ripping the heart out the club goes, how did he do that exactly?

as the other poster mentions, the players listed are the ones we can rely on - the ones that will pull us through this mess. JG wanted rid of them all, played players out of position rather than using other players.

But you must ask yourself, why did all the players celebrate when JG left?? does that not tell you something?

  14. see in the bbc website interview with brown...............

he mentions that he had to have a chat with a few players after lunch, then him and Archie would talk about it.....

my point is.....does anyone think it was "right lads, we've been offered the chance of this job.....we'd be interested in taking you there in 3 weeks, would u be interested?"

a few of them say yes, Brown goes back to the Sheep and says, look we've had a chat and we want these players in.......if you can provide, we'll come. If you cant, then we are better staying where we are

Milne, IMO, then said he would provide

    Cynical? Possible?

  15. think the game will defo be off................same as underboyleheating, it will be the police who will call it off. Killie fans presumably will travel up the m77, through ek, then onto the m74, up airbles etc.......

ek is a nightmare the now...........traffic to the whirlies is almost at a standstill, same problem to the raith and then airbles is a nightmare

and thats not to mention the side streets

get the sledge looked out for the weekend!!!!

  16. happy with his performance tonight - a marked improvement from earlier games/seasons. put himself about well, chased things down and worked for the team - can we ask for more? thought he played well with Jenno tonight, altho for me, and more importantly Paw Broon, he's always going to be behind Las and Jenno.

tonights performance has given me a little hope, and if he can keep that up he'll do well.......he'd be in my team before Forbes and Hately for a central midfield position

  17. how many points did we have the year we lost on the opening day against Rangers, then went unbeaten until hogmany and Rangers beat us again.......dunno the year, but i think it was Drunken Ferguson that scored against us (a double IIRC)
