  1. From today's Glasgow Herald, are we the grumpiest, most impertinent bunch of supporters in the SPL?
  2. You correctly identified the tune but it was the Klimpl version.

    Celtic

Another vote for Klimpl. Throughout the match wherever the ball was he seemed to be involved.
  4. Hughes was like a man possessed at times, hope he can keep that level of performance next weekend onwards. Just delighted for the point as a reward for the effort put in by all in c & a. If Thursday's was the performance we're subjected to on a bowling green surface, give me the Somme no man's land any day.

    Goals

Similarly, what's the thinking behind the throw-ins? Very rarely do Motherwell seem to gain any advantage from throw-ins (we can all dream of Craigan opening the gate once more to repeat that throw in)
  6. Forgot about that, but at least it introduces some levity into tonight's fiasco.
  7. Sunday's game is the ideal game for Fitzpatrick to be on from start, providing as strong a defence as possible against a stronger team and hope to hit Celtic on the break. Tonight was against an equally mediocre squad yet the tactics, as for the first half of the first game, were very negative. If that was 4-3-3 then I confess I failed to see it with nearly no threat from 'Well on the left.
  8. What a larff! Just off the phone to a fellow central East Stand, former Renfrewshire based, supporter to book tickets for tonight and Sunday. Couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Thanks
  9. And Chomsky for your signature.
  10. So if it becomes healthy and safe for the great unwashed to stand at Fir Park you'll accept the same standards for 'Well fans that wish to stand, or are you coming clean and admitting that you can bully 'Well fans to comply?
  11. Or fear of getting sued for negligence!

Objective/subjective? Having preceded McCarthy by opting to play for Ireland Jim O'Brien will definitely be offering a subjective opinion on this issue, precisely the reason why he was selected to give this viewpoint. Likewise your "treason" opinion is also subjective as it is not formed with reference to facts upon which we can all agree.

But I thought highly of my school's erudite principal, never knew his views on race relations though.
  14. Are St Mirren no longer doing their usual by providing tickets on the night? Was thinking about going across, but this may make my mind up for me.

To remark on the coming together between him and Coach is one thing. But the comments surrounding whether or not he's correctly located is the focus of attention.

To claim that this is racially motivated is frightening! As a country with a diverse mix of cultures Ireland consists of numerous races, so which race are fans insulting? Ireland would consist of the same diverse mix of cultures as any large town or city. So will the puerile "abusing" somebody or sets of fans because they have connections with a particular region or town: Edinburgh=HIV Paisley = junkies Aberdeen = sheep East end Glasgow = unemployed invoke the use of the same piece of shit legislation?

    Clarky - 50 Up!

Now for the same as a Dosser in dark blue shirt.
  18. Usually find it easy voting for Craigan but Clarkson's determination won it for me. On another issue, is Craigan usually grumpy, or was it just a grumpy day for him? Never seen somebody shaking their head and venting his frustration so much... ...and that was just during the warm-up. Subsequently the refereeing certainly did nothing to appease any frustration.
  19. Same book and page 45 has him in his playing days in a team photo, and also on pages 37, 38 & 39 And a more fullsome tribute in the Scotsman
  20. Your Grandpa!!! Shit, I must be old.
  21. Former leader of the House of Commons Baroness (Ann) Taylor of Bolton proudly supports 'Well.
  22. Did the police have "specific intelligence" (oxymoron I know!) of something kicking off after yesterday's match? The police numbers and the constant reminders that the station's CCTV was linked to transport police did seem a bit of an overreaction to a visit by Renfrewshire residents.
  23. The pitch invasion at Cappielow after O'Neil's penalty winner. Though for sheer pleasure (at the quality of play) it's the 5th goal aginst Dundee Utd on that Saturday.
