  1. We should take it upon ourselves to bombared phone ins, etc with this scandal to give Killie as much bad publicity as we can - cause it is unbelievable!! Even with given out 3,500 tickets - to what will probably 3,500 OF fans who won't use them - there will not be a big crowd on Saturday and I predict around 2,00 kille fans, 200 Well fans and 3,000 pikey OF fans riding the freebie which will result in a shite atmosphere! I'm really pissed off bought the way Killie have acted here and I hope our club take note for the next time they come visiting to The 'Ark - if that ever happens, cause once we beat them on Saturday the only way is down for them! Good luck charging that to away fans in the first divinsion next year!!
  2. Just wathced it on the BBC website and we dodged a bullet there! 100% total stonewaller and second booking for Klimpl! Lady luck was smilling down on us on Sat - hope she is with us this week to break our live TV curse!
  3. Just finally got round to wtahcing the highlights on BBC and the pitch looks truley horrific on TV. I thought it looked ok on Sat - particularly the wing near the East Stand - but TV evidence is yet further damnation of our sacred ground! On the evidence of the TV pictures, it looks worse than ever and I worry that one heavy rain fall will see another game at Fir Park off and a £20k fine sent our way!
  4. After seeing that, I'm scared shitless for Sat! You think Killie (who are in bad need of a win) bribed Setanta to make it a Live game?!
  5. Aye the prices should be the same for all fans with similar views, but the thing that gets me here is that it's a 12.30 kick off live on the telly and they are charging away fans £20 in this current climate?! They've got a 18,000 capacity ground and it will be absolutely empty on Sat cause of unrealistic prices! Charge a tenner max and get at least a 8,000 (plus) crowd - or charge what they are and get a crown of 4,000! More money from bigger crowd with cheaper gate! Why is that that folk with no common sense seem to be the ones running Scottish Football and Scottish football clubs?!
  6. I think we can finally break our live tv game hoodoo (touch wood!) this week, as Killie are a team definately off form. However, they will be desperate for a win to drag them away from the relegation battle they are being sucked into. I'd keep the same starting line up, but move it about a bit... Buzz LB Reynolds RB Quinn CB Craggs CB Stretch RM O'Brien LM Hammell CM The Klimp CM Shugg ST Sutton ST Sheridan Think with the two big boys up front and with O'Brien and Hammel terrorising the wings and pinging balls in we could create a lot of chances. I'll punt at 2-0 to The 'Well - Shug and Sheridan.
  7. Have to totally disagree with you here Bezzer - I think this season has been his best in Claret & Amber and a vast improvement on previous years! He saved our blushes against Nancy Away with a superb display and has been quite consistent this year. As much as I like him, it wouldn't be as devastating to lose Buzz as it would Shuggie or Klimpl - but I hope he stays. One thing he has never had is competiton - and Fraser arriving could provide that. I believe there is more to come from Buzz and he is improving each year, in my eyes at least, and is one of the best shot stoppers in the league. If we lost him, we'd struggle to find as good a replacement, but arguable maybe with other stregnths (ie coming for crosses, etc) One things for sure - if he goes I'll miss his super high pitched shouting during a match! Fecking quality!
  8. Hibs for me too. I think we are good for 9pts there - at least 7! Dundee Utd and Aberdeen would be a fair bet to take 6pts, but just don't see hibs winning any more than one of their games against St.Mirren. That said - its hard to predict as there is a huge chance of twist and turns. If we get 9pts - we will have the upper hand in the battle for 4th.
  9. Will be a tough game this one - and I think this game will be the most important if we are going to clinch 4th and that Europa spot. Dundee Utd are currently where we want to be, so they arte or biggest rivals to 4th place. A draw would still leave us 9pts from that goal and a defeat would put us 12pts from it and ultimately out the race I think. This game therefore is must win if we want to acheive our ambitions and stay in the race. Utd are a decent side and we need to be right up for this one to make up for last weeks slip up. Ultimately, I see the 4th place being decided post split - with Rangers and Celtic having a major say in who finishes 4th thanks to their own battle for top spot. But come that time - and it's only five games away - i think we need to be within 3pts of 4th to have any chance! Win on Saturday and Europe is on!! ...but lose and we could be drawn into the battle for a top 6 finish.
  10. Shuggie Says Hearts Are Shite! STEPHEN HUGHES insists Hearts are not better than Motherwell — just LUCKIER. Well lost to the Jambos on Wednesday to slip 12 points behind them in the race for third place. Sparks flew after the match when furious Fir Park manager Mark McGhee claimed Csaba Laszlo told him to 'f*** off'. Tynecastle gaffer Laszlo hit back immediately and insisted McGhee abused him first with words that could have 'started a war.' Now Well midfielder Hughes has sparked further tension between the clubs by claiming Hearts are fortunate to be sitting third in the SPL. Hughes — who hit the Fir Park side's goal in the 2-1 defeat — said: "I don't know what it is that Hearts have. "Watching the game, you wouldn't say they were better than us. I don't think they're a better team than us. It's maybe a bit of luck. "At the start of the season, we had a blip and they picked up points. That's why they have a gap on us. "But there is a lot of football to be played. This result isn't even a blip, just a bad result from a good performance. "As long as it's still mathematically possible, we'll be chasing third. "Last season we finished third by a good margin, but Aberdeen came with a late charge. "There is always a team that comes up late and, hopefully, that can be us this time. We've not written ourselves off." Hughes, below right, also insisted the late winner from Ruben Palazuelos which ended Well's nine-game unbeaten SPL run would not dent morale. He added: "I thought we had earned at least a point. To lose at the death is hard to take. "We put so much into it, which is why the boys are so disappointed. We're able to take consolation from how we played, though. "Every time we go to Tynecastle we put on a good show, but this time I thought we were brilliant from start to finish. "We've got Dundee United at home next and I'm sure if we keep playing like that we'll do all right this season. "Our first aim is to make the top six, then take it from there. "I don't think losing to Hearts will knock our confidence. I think we're back to our best now, with a settled squad and players who have come back from injury. Key players. "Let's hope this loss is just a one-off and we can kick on now. Anybody who watched us against Hearts would say we deserved a point. "It wasn't to be, so we just have to look forward to the Dundee United game." Hearts striker Christian Nade has revealed he visited Stephen Craigan in hospital after he accidentally knocked him out during Wednesday's game. Nade's shoulder caught Well defender Craigan on the head and he lay motionless for a few worrying moments. Craigan was released yesterday, but Nade admitted: "I was lost, I didn't know where I was. He couldn't move, so I was like 'what have I done?'. "I wanted to leave the pitch and go home at that time. It was a real shock. I was scared. "I hope he is okay. I think he will be, that's why I went to the hospital." Quality comments from Shug, and spot on in my mind. Dirty Jammy Bastards that they are. Notice Nade comments too - fair play to the big guy.
  11. I think on our day we are capable of beating all those teams - and comfortably too. But will we be "on our day" four times in a row?! While I hope so, I think we might stumble with one or two. I think staying unbeaten over the four games is just as important, and would gladly take 8points right now. But gonna be optimistic and predict we get 10 - just hope I don't jinx us! Euro 2years running can be achieved and I think these four games will definately be a huge factor come the end of the season. Mon' the 'Well!!
  12. Cheers for clearing that up. Hope Fraser is out because of his pre-contract with us and not because he is deemed not as good as Esson!
  13. Delighted with the result yesterday... Just watched the highlights and I don't know what I'm more shocked by: 1/ Craggs managed to play Sutton in a beauty for the goal with one of his legendary hoofs up the park. 2/ The goalie that made a complete arse of said pass could be our number 1 next season?!!
  14. Notice Alex McLeish is listed as having played three games for us....am I missing something?! Can't ever mind him pulling on the 'Well shirt!
  15. Intresting reading that he may be in line for a recall on Saturday? Maybe a bit too soon i'd thought?
  16. Come on now eddie - we all know the great unwashed can't read and write!
  17. Totally agree... At the end of last season I was thinking Craigan was just about finished, but since his return from injury this season he has really shown how importrant he is to the squad and has been in a rich vein of form. I think McLean's best bet is pushing Coach - although he could maybe play in the centre with Craggs, moth Reynolds to left back, Hammell to left wing and drop a midfielder that isn't performing. Loads of opportunitiy for him to fight his way into the team.
  18. Makes sense... And I thought he handled himself very well and spoke up for The 'Well during this pitch witch-hunt. Kudos Fizzy

While I think it will be a hassle for them, and it could have came out the blue as in the talks of a deal were very fast moving, it is an absolute cash cow for PSL. Two new strips rather than just one third strip will generate much greater sales. I'm sure PSL would love the club to have two new strips every year. So I think they were maybe hassled with getting everything into place, and probably having to deal with constant calls from fans re the new strip, etc. I'm sure they will cut their loses on Butka stock, especially given that they milked our Euro adventure with hundreds of merchandise. All in all, a good year for PSL.
  20. Say that too, great news! He a really nice big lad and a true professional, and his injury was a right bad one you wouldn't wish on anyone. When he came in at right back at the end of last season I thought he was immense and I'm delighted to he is now getting back to match fitness. Looking forward to seeing him in first team action soon. Hope he can have a right good run injury free, deserves it after this season.

Think you will have read this the wrong way WTD. I'm pretty sure that PRovan Sporst would have had a big say in this - and maybe even were involved in approaching Canteburry. If you look on the official site there is a picture with the two guys - assuming Mr. Provan? - from the shop, Leeann Dempster, Hammell and I'm assuming a guy from Canteburry which says they were involved with the announcement.

While I wholeheartedly agree that Canteburry is a great deal to have, there is no escaping the fact it will be another new home and away strip for the third season running - and since the Jaxx deal is up next year, it could very well be another new one again for 10-11 season! I really liked the strips this season, and for the first time ever bought both Home and Away knowing we had them for two seasons - so I feel fleeced in a way! I would like to see the club secure a deal with Jaxx for at least another season ASAP so the new Canteburry top is for two years - I feel the fans are owed that much. The thing that is sticking in my mind regards the Butka contract. From my experiences dealing with any contracts, particularly with my field of work, any premature cancellation by either party will result in bill being paid in full. Either that is the case and the club have thrown a good whack of cash toward Butka to pay them off, or the Butka deal was due to expire at the end of this season anyway - which basically means the club wholeheartedly lied to fans by saying that we would have the same strips for two seasons. Also, I'd be keen to know how much of a say PSL have in this deal - did they push it through, as ultimately they will make more money from any new strip. Still...I'm excited to see what the new strip will be like, and I'm sure it will be of tremendously high quality (just hope it doesn't make the price go up!
  23. And Andy Roddie!! But still - Van Der Gaag was the bomb! One good find in the transfer market at least!
  24. All this standing/sitting argument comes down to health and safety gone mad - and while I'm deeply concerned at the standard of our stewards and the police at games - the are acting on inrtuctions from the powers that be. It really pisses me off all this health & safety nonsense - how long before we can't leave the house for it being a health risk?! Health & Safety Officars can be so anally retentive it's unbelievable!
  25. I'm with you on that fatcalf. It was a harsh winter with the bad rain in December, sub-zero tempretures in Jan and snow in Feb - only natural that a few grounds are going to take a battering. We are getting singled out due to our problems last season and, as you say, our failure to sort it out. That said, with the state Hampden is in - being our National Stadium and all - I think that is shocker too.
