It's just amazing how quickly some have forgotten the absolute dross we've watched under previous managers compared to this season. I'm not getting hyped I'm just happy to see the team play football the way it should be played and to great effect most weeks. Christ, we've earned it.

We sold out our allocation today because we were quietly confident of a result. That's testament to how well the team has done this season. Unfortunately it didn't materialise due to multiple factors but not for lack of trying. We're brave on the ball and the quality is there for all to see. It's got it's results that sees us sitting pretty in the top six with a realistic chance of European football come the summer. Yes, we're out two cups and that's disappointing but we're still very much a work in progress. The whole fur coat no knickers narrative is simply pish.

Easy pickings for Burrows. I'll wish Robbo well just the same (except against us) . He's earned an opportunity at a bigger job imo.

We've been uncharacteristicly bad at the back today

That much is true but you're talking like it's been a habit

Behave the guys been part of the best defence in the league all season. Get a grip

Odonnell sleeping at the back post. Doesn't look himself at all today

Agree 100%. SOD was excellent from the first minute to the last. 10 of 10 from everyone. What a great time to be a Well fan.

Outstanding to a man. What a joy to watch and the Motherwell train keeps on rolling. Nice to finally give a team a good scudding and even better it being a Robinson team. I wouldn't be surprised if he chucks it now.

It was a loose pass from Connolly that started the chain of events. It puts us under immediate pressure with no margin for error. The park was a cow field and wasn't suitable to be passing on never mind in our own box.

Can blame Beaton and VAR all day but it's nothing but clutching at straws. Both by the letter of the law were red cards caused by our own doing. Really disappointing.

Honking day at the office. Conditions, team selection, winning the cup hype. Was only going to end one way. Knew it'd be tough but couldn't have predicted how poor we've been. Difficult venue to attempt to bounce back at the weekend as well.

That's us fucked

We get a goal and they'll crumble. Up to us to score though

Maybe the win dirty part was a bit far but we've played better, we should have been out of sight at half time. I'm over the moon with the 3 points and it's wonderful to be winning almost comfortably even when we're not at our best. It's not a criticism.

Not a classic and definitely not at our best today. Understandable after the efforts they put in on Wednesday. Sometimes you have to win dirty, three points is three points.

Tempted to give it to O'Donnell for that stepover and pinpoint pass over the top to JT. That was a moment of sheer class π

It's not even just those incidents. What also boils my piss is when he was blatantly ignoring Tavernier stealing countless yards at every free kick or throw in he took. Trivial I know but these things can affect games.

That felt like a win last night. The limbs when the equaliser hit the net, no feeling like it. No less than we deserved. COYW

Could see this coming. Their constant ads on the radio have ceased coupled by the radio silence on the castle "restoration" .

Tougher test tonight. Sorry to the fans planning to travel up there but I'd take a scrappy 0-0 to keep the clean sheets going. Of course a win by the odd goal would be more than welcome. Edit: just read the posts about the inspection. A postponement wouldn't be a bad result if it allows extra time for player recovery.

And from the stands

We've got a bit lazy in this second half. Allowing them far too much of the ball. Good to see Nicholson back on the pitch.

Don't forget Fa-dinger
