  1. KVV led the line brilliantly today. When he's on his game and hungry he is indeed a joy to watch. His first touch at times is almost Berbatov like. Slattery wins it for me though. Thought he was the positive driving force all afternoon and offered us the creativity we've lacked for weeks. Hope Alexander reads this and plays him next week.
  2. Much better performance today particularly going forward. More purpose to our play and a clear intent on going forward at every opportunity. That said, the defence was all over the place in the first half. Thankfully much improved in the second.
  3. Woolery simply out of pity for having the ball launched at him from a great all afternoon.
  4. Fair enough maybe I'm confusing creativity with a different approach i.e playing our players that I know can play with the ball at their feet. Wee Tierney for one has shown glimpses when he's had the chance that he wants to run at and commit defenders and was unlucky when he linked up with Van veen near the end today. On a different point I'd take that McMullan off Dundee if he's available should they go down always thought he was a cracking wee player.
  5. Personally I'm no interested in how bad the league is or any of the other 11 teams for that matter. My concern is Motherwell and Motherwell only. Why should my team be shite just because everyone else is?
  6. This group of players need either a kick up the arse, a boost in confidence or shipped out. Non of which are going to happen under this manager. Woolery , lambasted all season for being shite has now become the only spark we have. That shows in itself how far we've fallen. The game screaming out for an injection of creativity and he's too stubborn to acknowledge it until we're down to the last 20 minutes. I like Donnelly but he's a shadow of the player he was under Robinson, O'Donnell has gone into terminal decline and Effort just doesn't offer enough and is easily bullied. Scunnered with this team at present.
  7. The passing is one thing and the inability to control a football is another but the lack of movement off the ball is chronic. Everything is reactive , nothing free-flowing and constantly relying on hit and hope. County were pish tonight, it just so happens we were more pish. We made their defenders look like world beaters with aimless long balls all night. Complete lack of invention and appetite all round. I'm starting to wonder how long we give the manager now.
  8. If we show any degree of the intensity that we did on Saturday we should blow this mob away again. They look rock bottom on confidence and lack any idea of how to score. Brown just limped off for them as well.
  9. Been a tough month for Donnelly but I thought he was excellent yesterday. We all know what he's capable of when paired with the right partner in the middle. That's a joke, did the bbc actually have anyone at our game?
  10. Back to basics (though it won't happen) Kelly O'donnell Sol. Mugabi. Mcginley Woolery. Goss. Slatts. Roberts KVV. Efford Like I say, wishful thinking on my part
  11. Bit of afters with watt and burrows there.
  12. Replacing him in January like for like was always going to be a near impossible task. We should just have paid the guy what he was worth. If we can do it with the keeper we can do it for a guy who could offer us 20 goals in a season. That's criminal.
  13. Buried. Thank fuck we're (almost) safe cos we're absolute dugshite
  14. Correct. We're not on the same wavelength. Everything reactive, nothing looks planned. Relying far to much on the break of the ball than actually making things happen.
  15. Someone tell Ojalla to give himself a yard on mcnulty, had him in toast there
  16. Pumped. But I'll go along for the ride hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Will Shaw be ineligible for this one?
  17. Get a grip. We're playing NOW then Sunday. Why would you wish us down to 10 men in any match?
  18. The players, always the players. A manager should never publicly criticise his staff. That's for behind closed doors. Interviews are designed with a view to keeping the players on side and to avoid an unhappy camp.
  19. You can agree or disagree with the manager's post match interview all day long but one thing will always be for sure. What is said is never for the benefit of the fans.
  20. To give things a bit of perspective, before kickoff most of us thought the line up was positive and could be the one to cause hearts problems. We were arguably the better team in the first half up until their soft goal. We then lost Maguire to injury which like him or not meant we lost any bite in the middle that we had until then. KVV isn't the man to lead the line at the front that's clear but fingers crossed he'll be a good foil for the new guy coming in. Another positive in that Tierney had another decent game. He'll only get better with time but we have to give him the ball to feet, too many times the ball was punted over his head.
  21. Big Sol for all his defensive strengths is as slow as a week in the jail
  22. Hearts are bossing us here and unless we make a change soon a second is imminent. We're so lightweight middle to front and the hoof ball isn't helping.
