  1. He had an argument there in fairness. Clear pullback on Wilson on the edge of the box
  2. The early goal has galvanised them and given them confidence. We've done little so far and it's going to be tough to break them down now they have something to defend. Difficult afternoon ahead.
  3. StJ's pitch has always been perfect (for growing tatties)
  4. Highlight from our game on Sportscene. Neil McCann watching Sam Sparrow running down the pitch. 😆
  5. Think that's a point gained in the end.
  6. The boys got ability but he doesn't seem arsed a lot of the time. He really doesn't like to track back
  7. They've created but have spurned numerous chances. We've rode our luck for sure but I can see a a Well sting in the tail in the second half.
  8. This right hand sides a real issue. That boys got Wilson on toast and Halliday just got completely mugged off there
  9. Don't want to sound like a broken record but that pitch is crap. 5 yard passes not making it due to the ball holding up in the plastic. The sooner it's gone the better.
  10. Kettlewell is a decent manager for our level imo. I like the drive, enthusiasm and passion he's shown for our club and the job. He has shown that he isn't afraid to make tough decisions when it comes to recruitment in and out and also that he will stand up for our club and staff in the face of criticism. He won't get everything right but what manager does? Even old Fergie made mistakes in his career. Our league position is good and long may that last. Yes, the team can be inconsistent but that's what you get at our level and it's what keeps us coming back week in week out. Up the Well.
  11. Several got performers today. Balmer was excellent and Halliday was class again. Gave my vote to the often maligned Davor as I thought he worked his socks off today.
  12. Sportscene has been going down the tubes since Jonathan Sutherland reduced his appearances. Always thought he was a decent presenter who represented our game well. Thomson is never a presenter. He looks uncomfortable any time he's on TV. The guest pundits last night were laughable, looked like the BBC pulled two guys off the street. Sheridan looks like nothing less than a tramp. No offense to tramps intended.
  13. Gutted for the lads that they didn't come away with the 3 points. I feared the worst when they scored and especially after their second but credit to the boys they dug in and took a well deserved point. Think that's the best I've seen Paton in a Well shirt. Thought he and Halliday were immense throughout. SSC typically all about how bad they were giving us no credit whatsoever.
  14. How is that foul on Miller by Bernardo any different from the one by Watt? One gets a yellow, the other doesn't.
  15. He's absolutely beeling and rightly so. He just went to town and I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in the stand next week.
  16. Liam Gordon. He was hands down our best player tonight. Won everything and a great battle with Vassell. He was running on fumes by the end.
  17. 3 points and a clean sheet at what's been a difficult venue for us in recent times. Nice to hear that donkey Gogic saw red. Enjoy your Saturday night, all.
  18. While I don't want to tempt fate, I'd take a draw and a clean sheet at this stage. To avoid conceding is of the utmost importance.
  19. Can I just add that the numbers in our stand were magnificent and in fine voice all game. If we could only get those numbers every week what a team we'd have. Block E fantastic display and atmosphere as always.
  20. Oxborough for me. As little as we did create, multiple saves kept us within touching distance of them and therefore in the game.
  21. Disappointed. Not bitterly, but disappointed. We can't chase the ball for 90 minutes and expect not to run out of steam. We showed a team, low on confidence, on a poor run, with a volatile fan base far too much respect. We scored a good goal with good play then resorted to hoofball and long throws of which we won not one aerial dual. The introduction of Robinson and Tavares was baffling to say the least. Their defenders were never stretched and nothing changed with their appearances. The only time we looked remotely like troubling them second half was when we got the ball down and passed. Three or four passes would see us on the edge of their box only for us to make a mess of a cross and surrender possession cheaply. It would have been nice to have reached a final but let's face it, we'd have been destroyed by the green side. Never mind, we're after the Scottish anyway.
  22. MASSIVE 3 points, Massive. And a great result at Pittodrie ahead of Sunday. COYW!!
