I only really remember him from 93 onwards when I was going to games and especially Euro 96 when he was 34 and still in the team. Coyne was a far better player than Duncan Shearer and also the likes of John McGinlay who was also capped around that time.

Duncan Shearer was getting caps ahead of Coyne so I don't think that's true. Roxburgh made a lot of strange selection choices and for some reason seemed to favour Aberdeen players like Shearer, Irvine and McKimmie who were pish. The grandparent rule levels the playing field for countries with high levels of emigration. If the SFA don't find a goalscorer from outwith Scotland it'll be another wasted decade because you can't do anything with the likes of Nesbit, Shankland, Watt, May, Kane or Clark up front.

The u21 striker has been Hornby and the u19s have had Dapo Mebude up front. There is also Kyle Joseph from Wigan in the youth squads. None of them qualify under Weeyin's purity law. None of them are that great which shows how badly we are doing at bringing through goal scorers.

Aye but Clarke might not see them as being the same position. The current midfield has done well and I don't think it will be too long until we are starting McTominay, Gilmour and Turnbull.

He's up against McGinn and Armstrong for a place in the squad so tough competition.

It's been proven that outdoor transmission is rare and there was a scientist on Channel 4 News a few weeks ago saying there hasn't been a single outbreak linked to a beach anywhere in the world. I thought all this pish was over last year. How many people died because of Strathy Park or Brighton Beach? Zero. You have more chance catching it in a supermarket than outside on the street.

There's not much the police can do if 1000s of guys that can probably leather the majority of cops 1 on 1 decide to take to the streets.

When Alexander took over we were joint bottom on 17 points with County after 20 games. Alexander has taken 18 points from 12 games and has the 4th best record in the league since he took over. He's doing a good job.

8 goals is a decent return for Cole now. The question is will he stay here and be the main man for the first time in his career or try his luck in England again. (Or he could sign for Aberdeen and never score again).

We deserved a goal for our pressure but our forward play hasn't been great. The main thing is scrapping our way out of the relegation battle though so it's all about the result. Liam Kelly is immense. Hopefully we get him signed up.

I'm just going by form. Lamie put in a great performance last week. He deserves to stay in the team. It's the same with Magloire.

The two guys ahead of him have kept consecutive clean sheets. It's Declan Gallagher not Virgil Van Dijk we are talking about, he's been poor this season.

Same team as last week if Carroll is available. Gallagher almost cost us a goal while Magloire and Lamie both had great games. There's no point in throwing a guy straight back in who is only here for another 7 league games.

I know it's all true. So do a few other people who post on here but they are not saying it.

I've got no info on this but i wonder if he was suspended by the club for the long three weeks he tweeted about which would explain why he wasn't with the other players in the stand against St Johnstone?
