  1. The difference in speed between McGinley chasing forward there and when he was jogging back for their goal sums him up.
  2. Not a great deal of effort on show here.
  3. The club apparently had the correct kind of insurance cover to compensate for pandemic losses so this hopefully shouldn't have an impact on budgets for next season. Credit to Burrows and the other admin staff. I'm not sure what other clubs are in the same position but it's great that the fan owned club are setting the correct example.
  4. A lucrative monstrosity though. Those 2000 seats have put a lot of money in the bank over 25 years.
  5. One of the best things about that night was travelling into Glasgow and feeling real tension without all the day tripper pish that comes with cup finals. If Rangers weren't idiots we should really have had a couple of thousand there but 900 intense Motherwell fans in the corner going crazy was a great experience.
  6. I used to say the same about Joe Chalmers!
  7. The issue would potentially be if the club allowed his Dad to act as an agent despite him not being licensed.
  8. The club being publicly conciliatory to Gallagher might just mean that they are trying to keep their reputation as a player friendly working environment intact. I still think the biggest unanswered question is why he was sitting at home streaming computer games when the rest of the squad was at Fir Park on a match day.
  9. I was talking about Reynolds' very lucrative time at Pittodrie. We could offer Gallagher three grand a week, he'll be getting more than that wherever he ends up.
  10. 6 years at 7 grand a week at Pittodrie. I think he will be quite happy with how his career panned out.
  11. Long did the right thing with his penalty. Against a tall keeper rattle it hard and low. Lawless run up ensured he was missing and no idea at all what O'Hara was doing. He's scored 6 or 7 for us as well.
  12. Two shocking penalties. Lawless looks Ross McCormack level guff.
  13. Gallagher shafting us again. Season over. Ask on Monday morning who'll be here next season and send the rest of them home.
  14. That's a tooth away for Big Dec. Doidge strikes again. Last time it was Carroll.
  15. Hibs are a bunch of diving bastards.
  16. It's impossible to make a decent team out of the players we have available. This another day when a big takeaway is WTF were we doing extending Crawford.
  17. Gallagher runs away from the 6 foot 4 centre forward. Fuck off. We've looked like we don't have the will to fight for 90 or 120 minutes since the second half started.
  18. We were timewasting from the 2nd minute and look like we will be happy with penalties. Fair enough considering how few attacking options we have.
  19. Aye but running the Scottish team would be a cost that the English teams didn't have to bear so straight away the Old Firm are putting themselves at a financial disadvantage compared to their new rivals which would make no sense when the English side would be at risk of relegation. I don't think they will leave but there is no chance they would run teams in two leagues if they did. It would be an expensive farce. How many people pay into see Celtic vs Livi at Parkhead at 3pm if Celtic are playing Man Utd at Old Trafford at half 12 beforehand?
  20. If we could have PATG from August onwards then I think we would see a boost in crowds. However it looks like we will be limited to 25% of capacity for most of next season which will probably kill off the habit of going for a lot of people who don't have season tickets.. Empty stadiums is one thing, watching a game with a socially distanced 3000 crowd that you are personally prohibited from attending is a different prospect all together.
  21. I don't see this happening but if it did there is no way they could run teams in England and Scotland. It would be far too much expense and they would be looking at trying to get their fans in for 50 odd home games a year rather than 30ish the now. The Scottish league would survive but the winners would be the city clubs and we would be hit hard by it as TV is a bigger proportion of our revenue than it is for Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs. We had to down the size the squad hugely after Rangers left the league in 2012 and we would be starting the downsizing at a lower level right now.
  22. Aye but you were saying we're safe when clearly weren't. And given we play RC and Killie and they both play Accies it wasn't hugely unlikely.
  23. He's kept us up with a horrible squad. The next stage is getting a few decent players in.
