  1. The sad state of affairs is even if he is messing us around the Foley, Nolan, Magloire triple signing has worked out so badly we probably need to bring him back into the squad for a dogfight. In the unlikely event that we take 7 points before the split he can rot.
  2. I disagree. Even under fan ownership we are always going to have a top 10 budget and advantages over other clubs of our size in bringing in players. There is no reason why we should be relegated from a league with Accies, Livi and Ross County. Look at our squad just now. Money isn't the issue it's the fact that we have signed dozens (no exaggeration) of shite players who have contributed nothing while letting our captain and vice captain leave. If fan ownership has any problems it's not being ruthless enough. Robinson completely hobbled us and the board were still telling him to stay then when he quit anyway gave him a golden handshake instead of trying to get him out the door at minimum cost and telling him to take his boy with him. If we finish below Accies or lose to a Championship team in a playoff heads will have to roll.
  3. Fair enough but I've had good info that the clause has been removed.
  4. Apparently his new agent challenged the validity of it. Bear in mind he was sent for a scan on his hamstring injury and there still isn't any time scale for him to return to the pool. In comparison Campbell is listed as ASAP and Donnelly is listed as March.
  5. The contract clause has been removed so he can play now without extending his deal. That is official. The issue is whether he has burnt his bridges with the club in getting the clause removed.
  6. We could do with a bit of Turnbull magic right now.
  7. The club relies on the financial interest of the players and the club being aligned. Basically they both make more money if the player plays well. Gallagher's contract has introduced a scenario where him playing for us reduces the amount of money he will make in the future so obviously he doesn't want to play. That's a poorly designed contract and the blame falls on Burrows. The players at any club can spit the dummy and decide not to play which is why we are having to make an example of Gallagher even though he succeeded in getting his contract changed. The entire situation is a shambles and completely unnecessary. I'm quite happy for players who have proven themselves at our level to sign longer contracts and give us some continuity.
  8. It's Burrows fault for putting such a daft contract in front of him that always had the potential to backfire rather than just offering a three year deal. Apparently Gallagher was represented by his father when signing for us but has an agent now. Burrows obviously thought he was getting one over them but now it's came back and bit him on the arse.
  9. Alexander saying Magloire played ok. Aye right Graham.
  10. There are probably a few of them thinking the wage of their next contract will be bigger if they spend the remainder of the season in the stand.
  11. Donnelly, Carson and Dunne have all had multiple long term absences. You can't rely on players like that.
  12. Apparently down south he was a 4-4-2 man so I don't think he is wedded to 4-3-3 it's just that we don't have four midfielders.
  13. The spine and heart we had was ripped out when Tait and Hartley left. We couldn't afford to keep them because we needed our money to run a 35 man squad that don't give a fuck.
  14. How many players in the squad actually give a fuck at this point. Kelly on loan. SOD stinking attitude all season. Gallagher has apparently talked his way out of the club. Allan Campbell's value drops every time he steps on the park so he's better off injured. Polworth doesn't care. Crawford on loan. Long worst attitude ever. Cole not exactly a man you want in the trenches. Hastie on loan. Seedorf heading out the door. Watt was the bright spark but today he looks like he has chucked it. Terrifying.
  15. It looks like we have done what we did with Ross McCormack and signed them without doing any due diligence.
  16. Aye but part of that is signing three players who are already crocked.
  17. Some of the worst defending you'll ever see. Again the transfer business in January is killing us.
  18. Beaton had our one man wall about 18 yards back there.
  19. Polworth's first ever good shot. It would have summed up our season if it went in and the lineswoman chopped it off.
  20. A goal from outside the box, is that allowed?
