Polworth is worth his place the now but is a bit lazy off the ball. Unlike Vigurs though I could see him improving that side of his game and his fitness has visibly improved since the early cup games.
Given our record in Edinburgh I can see us changing the shape to accommodate O'Hara, pushing Polworth forward a bit and having Scott wide supporting either Long or Cole.
I don't see us using a 4-3-3 here.
O'Donnell was miles out of his depth. He was embarrassing.
It seems like we throw together a new centre half pairing every game which is a recipe for disaster. You also have McGregor (26) and Forrest(28) who have spent their careers getting praised for turning it on for a month or two a season against teams with tiny budgets who are completely incapable of taking control of a game against decent opposition.
As far as the u21s go Gemmil makes Stephen Robinson look like Mario Biesla. They are completely unwatchable.
That's harsh. He looked dangerous in almost all of the games he played which can't have been a fluke. I don't see him playing below Scottish Premiership level.
It's not like Hastie has been sent to Raith Rovers. Rotherham are a decent outfit and will be going for promotion in a league which isn't too different to ours beyond the OF.
He's still gettting paid a fortune and he should have the opportunity to play first team football.
We've got plenty of depth in midfield now. We have the Donnelly-Campbell-Polworth midfield plus Sloth-O'Hara-Turnbull.
A quality centre forward would have been welcome but to be honest I want James Scott playing every week and I think Cole will keep improving.
True but if you're on the verge of getting relegated he's a top man to have around.
The goal at Ibrox is a classic but the free kick against Killie was huge as well.
He did nothing after half time. He made a couple of decent contributions with with the goal and that cross but Whittaker being done was part of that. He still doesn't look like the required standard.
Seedorf is still rotten despite the nice goal.
That's the best I've seen us play in a long time. Hartley was superb and Carroll was good again. It could have been a total rout if Long took his chances but three nil is a great result.
Hibs look like they are trying to get the manager sacked. The lack of effort after our second was shocking.
Our only signing near the deadline over the previous two seasons was Stephen Hendrie (unbelievably without a club at the moment).
Let's hope the club do a bit better this time.
It has to be a red card or players will be encouraged to save with their hands.
In a tight game teams would obviously take the booking and the chance of a penalty missing every time over losing a goal.
The Accies defender handling the ball ended the game. Credit to the team for doing what they had to do.
Hibs will be a bigger test but there's less pressure now we have a win.
