  1. Carson trains every day so he is surely fit enough to play in goals.
  2. Rohan Ferguson's Linfield are beating Qarabag 2-1 at HT.
  3. Hartley looked overweight in the two league cup games. I think there is a question if he has ever been fully fit since his injury. Giving him a big contract while injured wasn't a great move.
  4. Livi's plastic pitch was enough for me for the season. I'd still be interested to see what Ilic can do on the left but probably not in this game. If we start Donnell, Campbell and Polworth again we deserve to lose.
  5. I doubt he is signing Hendry to replace Dunne in the team. If we bring in Hendry then we'll be back to 3-5-2 faster than you can say Earn The Right to Play. Hendry on his own merits would be a decent signing. Young, Scottish, athletic and the potential to improve. I'd rather have a centre forward though.
  6. Aye the argument seems to be that if the club gives us updates on games people will get bored and unfollow. I'm struggling to see how the club are turning Twitter views into revenue.
  7. Aye if they want the main Twitter account to be for marketing/CV building then they need to start another account which does match updates. The SFA have already went down that route with the @ScotlandNT account doing updates on all the different sides.
  8. The one that Tait pulled out of on the edge of the Hearts box in the first half was a good decision. It was a complete hospital pass from (I think) Seedorf and the risk/reward in terms of being injured/sent off versus us scoring wasn't worth it. Carl McHugh is the proof that you don't have to go in 100% for every potential challenge.
  9. Watching the game just now after being at The Cure last night. Seedorf is absolutely brutal, it's embarrassing that we are starting this level of player. Every game is going to look the same this season as teams are aware we have no quality or threat in the final third and will let us beat ourselves. The team look extremely flat and it reminds me of McCall's final few months when the poor signings seemed to destroy the morale of the rest of the squad.
  10. We need a striker and a winger before the window shuts.
  11. I don't think the Celtic fans would accept signing our staunch sub goalie who's coming back from a serious medical condition at the moment. Rodgers could have done it no problem but Lennon and Lawell are on shaky ground.
  12. On Bet365 it's Mothewell 19/20 to qualify. Hearts 4/5. Not much in it.
  13. We can only sign 16 year olds for two years. So it's a question of giving out appropriate contracts when players turn 18 and extending when required. Letting Turnbull and Hastie enter the last years of their deals without offering extensions was a mistake.
  14. Bob McHugh and Craig Moore are better than what we have at the moment! No one is saying sign up every young player just the best ones. We are actually already doing it with Scott tied up until 2022 and Semple until 2021.
  15. Is there any news on Sloth?
  16. It's not a risk at all. Having five young boys on extended contracts might amount to 100 grand a year which is fairly inconsequential compared to our total turnover. Saying it' a risk is like saying Mazinga, Mbulu, Petravicius etc are huge risks. I agree about the 16-17 year olds there's not much we can do about that. Dundee United's debt was mainly run up by Eddie Thompson long before anyone had heard of Armstrong, Robertson, Ciftci or GMS.
  17. I'd say this year has been the most extreme for us. Replacing 7 outfield starters only two years after another full rebuild is extreme. Our squad building has been terrible.
  18. Apparently the new owner is just a front man for the old owner. The old owner appears to be some kind of gangster. They got knocked out by a team from Luxembourg last year and they weren't actually that good against Celtic. The main thing that hampers Scottish clubs is the constant rebuilding. If non Old Firm teams could build a side over a few years we do a lot better against them. Ross County will probably benefit from having a settled side this season.
  19. Aye Brown's handball would have been ignored as the Bolingoli one. They have a few very good players but also plenty of duds.
  20. Clyde played their first team. Obviously they only rest players in this when they think they'll get beat. Goodwillie, Love and McNiff are good players.
  21. Semple not involved with the u21s tonight. Hopefully he will be starting on Friday.
  22. Carson is much better with the ball at his feet and on crosses. Gillespie is probably a bit better at shot stopping. Unless we get some height up the park then the ball at feet part is huge.
  23. It wasn't just before his injury. It was while he was playing with a life threatening blood clot that no one knew about that must have effected his performances. I'd rather have Trevor back in if he's fully fit.
