Without anyone who can play on the left or a player who can create in the final third the best we can hope for is winning the relegation battle. If a manger with a different ethos comes in and signs a left back, a creative attacker and brings on the youth we can do better. The idea that you can't say a manager has run his course without simulating an entire recruitment process is the default fallback position of the happy clapper. You don't need to worry about anything, no matter who we appoint you'll think they are a great manager and give them wee pet name. Sacking Robinson and avoiding relegation is probably going to cost us a lot of money. I'd give Lasley a shot if he is willing to work to a specific plan: small squad with quality over quantity, positive football and youth development. Managers last 3 years if you are lucky now, letting them dictate everything at the club is a recipe for disaster and long term chaos.

18 months in charge. 25 contracts handed out. And we are served up shite like that. We get nothing from the wingbacks, the midfield was a complete embarrassment and the strikers work hard but there's no combination between the two of them or with the guys behind. When we get the ball we're like a school team who just gets the head down and goes straight ahead. This is a badly managed team.

McHugh's elbow on Declan Gallagher was a definite red. Carl will need to keep his eyes peeled for Blantyre neds with baseball bats now.
-
Bowman handled it first so he was never giving it.
-
Donnelly staying in the team proves it's down to your face fitting.
-
Looking at that starting 11 Robinson is making a statement that this is the only way he can play. If it's another horror show today his time's up.
-
Liam Donnelly. Just as well I got a free ticket!

I think to get the best out of Bigi you would need to play a 4-2-3-1 and have him in the two paired with someone who can do the physical ball winning bit. It's also probably the case that if him and Campbell both need a more physical partner beside them they don't really fit into the same midfield.
-
He might go for a Rose, Campbell and Turnbull midfield. Carson Aldred McHugh Hartley Cadden Campbell Rose Turnbull Tait Main Bowman That's probably the most solid team we can field.
-
We know Burrows has his number....

Preston to Birmingham is definitely quicker on the train even without taking traffic into account.

He's hardly living on the margins. He has been given the resources to build a team. He has signed something like 20 players and extended Tait, McHugh and Bowman who were here when he arrived. If he fails to turn this round and doesn't see out October it will be nothing to do with fickle fans or the fan ownership. It will solely be because he made a complete and utter mess of this transfer window. Killie and St Johnstone brought in Greg Stewart and Tony Watt. Livi look to have found a decent striker in this Dolly guy. We signed Connor Sammon. We have no creativity and no decent left sided players. The buck for that stops with Robinson.

If he drops Tait and keeps Liam Grimshaw and Liam Donnelly in the team my 20 quid will be staying in my pocket next Saturday. -

I'd say Robinson has lifted the standard in as much as the manager actually turns up to training and the players are fit. However the style of play, youth development and recruitment strategy are all disasters. It's pretty clear Robinson isn't interested in rectifying those issues so it's just a matter of time now. -

I don't know about that. Robinson has managed to wriggle out a couple of tight spots and it's very rare anyone gets an easy game at Fir Park. The annoying thing is that despite having no flair or guile we are soft as shite. -

If he loses next week at Fir Park it's over. Then we have the international break to regroup. -

Not a great goal to lose. Tait stood off Jones, Carson palmed the ball out and ATS is ball watching as Burke taps in. -

Bowman flicked on and Main ran down the right channel and rifled into the far post low from about 20 yards. McDonald was slow getting down but a good finish. Tait just cleared one of off the line. On the penalty replay it looked knee to knee. -

The exact same pen as Wednesday night. Two misses now. It's a decent start anyway. -

It's a 3-5-2. Billy Boys variants 5 of the last 6 games -

There's not much creativity on the bench. Campbell was poor the other night but so was Grimshaw. -
You are making things up. 3rd, 2nd, 2nd was a great achievement. I'm actually in the minority because I think the financial side of things was out of the club's control due to Rangers.

I definitely have never said that.
