Can you get on the board if you've been lifted at a game? If so there's a fine potential board on here. We'll be back in Europe in no time. I just think we should have aspirations beyond signing a bus load of journeymen to compete with Accies and imitating their style of play.

Hibs, Hearts, Dundee United, St Johnstone, Ross County, Inverness, St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen have all won cups in the past decade. Losing cup finals is nothing to be shouting about.

Newell and Gordon will never be good enough for our first team. He signed Newell because he's mates with his Dad and the club didn't even announce his contract extension which tells you everything. Robinson knew Gordon from NI youth squads and inexplicably put him in the team ahead of Ainsworth when we were in a relegation battle and somehow Gordon got extended last season despite falling behind the younger Turnbull and Brown. I think most people would rather we put that money into a quality striker.

If money is that tight then we shouldn't be extending Shay Gordon or George Newell. That is just pissing money away.

Well we should be getting rid of whoever made the remit as well because pissing money away on journeymen we don't need, hardly ever winning and awful football is a recipe to be the next Dundee United or even Falkirk. People need to get their heads round the fact that last season's Scottish Cup run was based on incredible luck. The OG against Acccies, goalie howler and OG at Dens, two goalie mistakes against Hearts, gifts from the keeper and Aranason at Hampden.

He's on strike from Scottish football. Robinson will be happy because there was about 20 minutes in that second half where we didn't play two passes.

McHugh won a huge number of headers and tackles. Cadden, Carson and Bowman played well as well.

We needed a sub after the goal to shore us up and we would have had a fourth for ET. We showed good character and effort but quality was badly lacking. The first 30 minutes of the second half was horrendous and a bad indictment of the manager. For all the supposed strengthening we are still looking to Grimshaw and Frear....

It's a big game for Grimshaw after his last few outings since the SC final. We'll see what Donnelly has to offer as well.

If you read the interview it's clear he wants to get back to the high ball style from last season. We did well with that in the cups but mainly because we luckily benefited from some terrible goalkeeping errors and Derek McInnes being clueless. The thought that we are struggling due to a lack of players who can create chances in the final third doesn't seem to have crossed his mind.

He should be in the midfield learning his trade and instead he's being played out of position for over a year because we have a manager who wants to play wingbacks without signing any. It's no wonder his confidence has dropped.

Aye it's impressive that he took the squad McCulloch had which we were all talking about as relegation candidates and improved them so much. The game they beat us at Fir Park they completely shut us down any time we had the ball and took away our passing options.

Who was useless? Apart from Hammell and Maclean they are all Robinson men.

The team that day was Carson, Tait, Hammell, Kipre, Hartley, Bigi, Rose, Campbell, Tanner, Bowman, Newell. The subs who came on were Grimshaw, Fisher and Maclean. 8 out of 14 have started a game this season. Bowman will probably start on Wednesday. Tanner would no doubt have started.

We had back ups last season. If Robinson chooses to play injured players that's up to him.

I don't think we have much choice but to try and grind something out on Wednesday night. It will be backs to the wall. I'd like to see us try something different on Saturday though as Clarke has owned Robinson tactically they two times we've played them.

If the media were at all interested in our club he would be getting crucified for this. If Gerrard, Rodgers or McInnes did something as daft you would never hear the end of it.

Teams are obviously aware that if they score first and sit tight they are near enough guaranteed three points. We have barely made a chance this season and when we have scored it's been down to defenders slipping and set pieces. Johnstone's goal at Livi was the only one tha doesn't fit description.

Sammon+Grimshaw+Donnelly+Newell+Gordon surely equals a decent striker.

How is it possible to watch the Hearts match and think what we need is Sammon and Donnelly? Robinson has been dodging bullets for a while but I think this week will catch him out.

What's the point in playing Sammon if he can't play in the QF. Give Bowman and Johnson a run surely?
