It's sad that Stevie's retiring but it's probably the right move. He was outstanding against Aberdeen in the cup so he definitely contributed at least that this season. None of us will ever see another player make 500+ appearances for the club, he is an all time great. 21 year old Cadden is our longest serving player now.
-
Hopefully we're not paying any more than when he was here.
-
That's pretty much Robinson's tactics.
-
He's better playing for Rangers than sitting in the stand at Brighton. I don't think playing for the team he supports in his home city is that bad an option compared to going back to the Championship.
-
Jamie Murphy is having a medical with Rangers. He should be able to play his way into the Scotland squad up here. We should get a wee slice of the fee due to solidarity payments.
-
What games? We might have been good for a point at Kilmarnock but that's evened out by holding on against Dundee. Every other game we have been well beat.
-
18 month deal. Seems too long for someone with his record. End of the season would be better.
-
And that's the case for keeping him on?
-
They sacked his mate.
-
The FA registered Sliva before the summer window shut so they say he can play today. Van Dijk and Moult have been registered today so are ineligible.
-
From twitter "Premier League see Adrien Silva as a different case to Virgil van Dijk. Van Dijk is a new signing. Silva, technically, is not. Has been registered in #LCFC's squad since September but was just awaiting international clearance. Which he now has. Hope that's clear."

They said on SSN earlier that there is a FIFA rule which means you can't play for a club the day you sign.
-
How many clubs have signed Keatings then decided they didn't want him? Avoid.

If we lose either of the next two games I think he's a goner as we have two trips to Edinburgh after that which we will be unlikely to pick anything up from. Obviously he deserves a few more games but from what we have seen I don't think he has it in him to turn this round. Putting Fisher on the left wing yesterday proved he is completely devoid of ideas and our attacking play since he arrived has been terrible. Having a go at 'so called ball players' is out of order when there is no evidence that we actually have any particular tactics for creating chances other than get it forward and hope for the best. Making comments about players in the press is always a sign that a manager is feeling the pressure and in Robinson's case it's a huge deflection. It's not the players who didn't sign a genuine left back. It's not the players who signed two strikers who haven't a goal between them. It's not the players who pick the wrong starting line up time and again. It's not the players who change the formation three times a game. It's not the players who fill the midfield with toilers then are surprised that we have to chase the game in the second half every single week. He's due a few more games but much like McGhee after the 7-2 and McCall after Starjnan I think it's just a matter of time.

As bad as we have been recently I fancy us to score off a set piece or two today given how bad Accies were at defending them at NDP.
-
McHugh is nowhere near as bad as passer of the ball as you are saying. There have been plenty of games where he passed the ball well including Saturday against Dundee. Campbell was poor at Firhill and Tynecastle. I'd have him in the team ahead of Grimshaw but there's not a lot between them.
-
He's about the only one in the full squad who can play a forward pass.
-
We should have hung onto Moult then as it'll cost us a lot more than the transfer fee as we slip down the league.
-
You would hope we wouldn't have agreed to sell Moult without a decent replacement lined up several levels better than Bowman and Fisher.

It'll be interesting to see whether we try to sign some guys to play the ball on the deck or go all out for the high ball route that saw us by Aberdeen and Rangers in the cup. For me we need to obviously sign two strikers but the next priority has to be a left back. We've seen so many different defences recently and our attacking play is terrible when Tait is advanced on the left. Teams are also wise to Dunne's lack of ability and are confident that when he has the ball he will give them it back under no pressure so we are either reduced to pumping high balls or trying to play it out a man down. Fisher isn't cut out for this level and should be moved on. Rose and Grimshaw should join him, they both just run about at a medium pace and while at least Grimshaw makes challenges most of the time it's kicking the ball out for a shy rather than winning it. Our attacking play is dreadful. A poorly coached team.
-
We've definitely got the worst attack in the league.

One Scottish player in the line up.

It's early days. The media don't usually find a consensus on a Celtic player until March.

Scottish Premiership Game 19: Dundee (H) 23/12/17 15:00
steelboy replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
That was a good point. We played well first half, passed the ball about well but had nothing up front. The last half hour was all Dundee but the guys on the park stood up and kept a clean sheet. Frear has always seemed like a shitebag and seeing him walk off today while Hartley, Kipre and Tait played through inury reinforced the point. I heard that Fisher might be up for leaving and his non appearance today is a good sign. If we can get shot of him, possibly Rose plus the Moult money and potentially Kipre money and bring in two strikers and a left mid we will be in a decent place.
