  1. I think we're playing Aberdeen on Christmas Eve. Hearts have an average of 3000 more fans at every home game than the Sheep despite having a small stadium. Considering the size of the City and it's location Aberdeen have a horrendous support.
  2. I don't understand why. Compared to driving to games 10-20 years ago it's quicker and easier to get to almost every ground. Compare a trip to Kilmarnock in the 90s to now as an example.
  3. It's the kind of patter Farage or Donald Trump would come out with.
  4. They are in the Championship next season so that's an extra 8 midweek games.
  5. Maybe not Brighton but they still have possible midweek trips to London, East Anglia and Wales. Here to Dingwall is 3 hrs 24 mins according to Google which is basically the same as Newcastle to Manchester. Calling for 'common sense' is usually a sign a person doesn't know what they are talking about.
  6. Saying it's not fair that we have to travel midweek is pathetic. Suggesting that Dundee or Aberdeen who would have journeys almost identical to ours should travel instead is pathetic. Playing in the top Scottish league yet complaining about having to go places in Scotland is pathetic. The longest journey is three hours each way, that's nothing compared to the travelling English fans do. Scotland is also very easy to get around these days due to all the motorway upgrades across the country.
  7. Would you have all the derbies midweek or just the Highland ones? It's pathetic because it's small time thinking. Look at Newcastle's fixtures for next season if you want to see travelling, look at teams in Germany, France or Italy. It's stupid to argue that we want to be a serious football nation with our clubs doing well in Europe then start greeting about an extra 2 hours travelling. You can't even seriously argue it puts people off travelling because 95% plus of our support wouldn't go for 3pm on a Saturday anyway. If anything if you want to maximise attendance you should put the distant games midweek and the nearby games that we carry a good support to on the weekend.
  8. The difference between a Saturday and a Wednesday for us is about 200 people. ICT and County have to play midweek. Apart from playing each other it's roughly 2-3 hours travel for everyone. What are the league supposed to do.
  9. If the fixtures were set by a fixed formula or were completely random we'd have no right to complain but they obviously aren't so we should stand up for our own interest. On the other hand we should be getting our point across before this happens. Moaning about travelling distances at certain times is pathetic. Scotland's a small country compared to other leagues and other teams are doing much more travelling than us. If you don't want to travel join a regional league.
  10. The guy on the right looks like the Leicester striker Blyth.
  11. If there was ever an agent who earns his money it's the guy that finds Ojamaa and Arnier a new club every 6 months.
  12. Erwin has massive potential but also seems to be up there with Garry O'Connor in the shit for brain stakes. I'd take him back as long as it involves Barry Hughes coming nowhere near Fir Park.
  13. A 19 year old boy changing his job seems to really upset you. He came here from N.I and is making a similar step up now. I don't see how we can complain.
  14. I can't see it being Hutchy. We could probably only offer less than he was on the last time he was here. I still think he'll end up at Rangers and if not Ibrox then Hearts or Aberdeen. Good luck to Hall it's a great move. Losing guys like him and Erwin after them showing so little highlights how far we have slipped down the food chain.
  15. £100k for Pearson is a terrible offer. The signing bonus and agents fee of brining in a replacement would eat up a fair chunk of that we lose one of the few quality players we have.
  16. Does anyone actually put any stock in anything McGhee ever says in interviews? He's not got a great track record of telling the truth.
  17. Aye we need more paedophile crooks bringing in amateur level players and brown envelopes.
  18. We'd struggle to put a team out....
  19. As has been pointed out US fans pay through the nose compared to us. There is also the small issue of cities being forced to either increase taxes to pay for the billionaire owner's new stadium or watch their team leave town. No one in Scotland has had to put up with seeing their team move hundreds of miles away. There are also teams who are purposely rubbish to try and acquire high draft picks. No fan in Scotland has ever had to put up with a team trying to lose as many games as they can over a season.
  20. If we are taking this at all seriously part time teams pose even less of a threat in July than they did previously. Stranraer is a tricky trip (and the areshole of Scotland) but we hold every advantage and losing isn't acceptable.
  21. At least we'll know where we stand straight away Win against Rangers in 90 minutes or penalties and we can relax. Lose and we need to run the score against the unseeded teams.
  22. The Starjnan game proved that the Algarve was a disaster. I'd imagine the big benefit of going away is that you can control diet, recovery and sleep. Hopefully the players realise preseason is 24/7 and not just a couple of sessions a day at Dalziel Park.
  23. If Lasley and Hammell leave I doubt they could much better than Raith or QOTS level. Given Hammell's injury record and Lasley's age it a massive gamble for any other club's manager to sign them.
  24. Half a million for a guy who can't get a regular game for us? Seems legit.
  25. If Lionel leaves the club need to put up a youtube video of all his goals. The number of screamers he has scored is unbelievable.
