  1. It'll be interesting to see what team we get on Saturday. Any news on Las, Hammell, Pearson or McManus? I would guess that Long, Grant, Johnson and Sutton will start but other than it's all up in the air. I've heard that Connor Grant is showing up very well in training and could be just we need.
  2. The last Rangers vs Hearts match was a friday and it's being rearranged that weekend because Rangers were supposed to be playing Alloa that weekend but they have the challenge final. Rangers vs Hibs a week on Friday is a big game.
  3. They generally don't care about viewing figures. Subscriber numbers is all they care about, people paying is more important than people watching. Edit - the average viewing figure for a spl match is 88,000.
  4. The Tv companies are paying to take what they see as the best games though not the easiest ones to get to. The amount of people incovienced is far smaller than the people who get to see the game that wouldn't have. We've been up there and they have visited us midweek in recent years, people will still go.
  5. You're probably talking about 150 people that might have travelled versus the Tv income clubs rely on. It's shite for anyone who has booked travel though.
  6. Only lower league clubs can take loan players outside the window in Scotland although we can apply for an emergency loan as happened with wee Dan. Clubs are allowed a max of 4 loan players - cross border loans don't count as loans - and can take max 2 players per parent clubs from clubs outside their division but only one from a club in the same division.
  7. If you are signed to a club now you can't join another club until July.
  8. We can only loan players to Scottish teams now so there aren't many options.
  9. Cummins was supposedly murder on loan at Ayr. I don't see him getting a loan again. Conference north for him if he's lucky next season. I don't see Vigurs, Lawson or Ainsworth wanting to go a championship team (at least one that would have them) either.
  10. Pearson, Long and Grant all look like good signings. We look capable of putting a competent team out now.
  11. Maybe he doesn't want to play for accies cause they're a wee team? The Everton deal looks good, no doubt some will be disappointed it's not another league two journeyman.
  12. The chairman is based in North Yorkshire......
  13. We've got two Championship players on loan FFS! They both play the same position which is a bit pointless but you can't expect the club to think about things like that.

  15. McDonald had done well at the u20 world cup and Humphrey's team were raging he left. This is a bit different.
  16. Bradford Park Avenue have an average attendance of 300. We'll be losing transfer targets to the Juniors soon at this rate.
  17. Despite the fact they have lower crowds and less TV money? Have you ever seen a League Two game?
  18. How much do you think a 20 year old on the fringes of the first team gets at a club like Brighton or Brentford?
  19. Do you really think York City are paying out bigger wages than us?
  20. Outside the EPL every club in the country will have players on wages we match. If we are so skint then we should be going for two decent players than O'Brien, Laing, Straker and potentially two other League Two reserves.
  21. If you are going to take players on loan who aren't getting games it's a good idea not to take them from teams you should be better than. Watching Straker's struggles on Saturday should be proof enough of that. There are a lot of players between the League 2 reserve league and Messi.
  22. Not as grateful as Ged Brannan, Tony Thomas, Greg Strong, John Spencer and Andy Goram.
  23. Last season Sutton scored 22 of 64 league goals so roughly one third. This season he has scored 7 out of 16 which is almost half. GIven how few chances our midfield is creating and our lack of possesion i'd say Sutton is probably playing exactly as he was last season but is getting less service and opportunities. He is obviously isn't the most mobile but he is one of the few in our squad who can go for 90 minutes without too much drop off and Barraclough seems to have realised this by leaving him on for the 90 yesterday and dropping him back into midfield for the last 10 minutes or so. Since he came back he has been started all but 3 games, one of those was when he was left out the Russia trip, the other two he was benched to give Faddy a run out in easier matches. GIven that near enough everyone else in the squad seems to have picked up a serious injury in that period he deserves a great deal of credit for always being available. Hopefully he can strike up a decent partnership with Erwin and they both start scoring regularly when we have a functioning midfield.
