  1. 30% of the club for £300k? The club is easily worth £8-9m.
  2. The rumour is they want majority control but it happens gradually over a few years. Which to me means they want access to the Society funds for as long as there is any.
  3. Also it stinks that this has been going for months and there hadn't been a society members meeting to discuss what's happening. Surely they don't think they can just give the club away via a few emails?
  4. The rumour going about is that they only want to put in £300,000 a year for five years and are talking about bringing in more investors later. Society members would need to be stupid to vote for that. Any credible buyer would pay what the club is worth. It also has to be questioned why the Society are still fundraising when this is moving forward.
  5. I've had a look and we actually have a slightly higher turnover than Shrewsbury in the latest accounts up to May '23. £6.4m vs £6.2m. We have staff costs of £5m and they were slightly higher with £5.2m but considering that they are in a far higher cost of living area we should be getting more for our money. This is a budget that got them mid table in League One yet we are continually told we can't compete with League Two or National League for wages which is clearly lies and deflection.
  6. Is that for players or the club as a whole?
  7. If he fails to win another game this season I don't think he'll be here.
  8. I've got to hand it to Kettlewell in that interview. You would never know by listening him to we've only had two league wins at home in 7 months.
  9. He's still a Hearts player so we can pull the deal. You can't have a guy like that in the team, he's in the Butcher/Obika zone.
  10. The thought of season ticket money going to signing Andy Halliday for next season is a complete sickner. Him and Nicholson are both miles away from being fit enough to play in this league.
  11. That was a poorly coached team last night. There were times when McTominay, McGinn, Christie and Dykes were all within 20 yards of each other standing still and the ball was going out to the wingbacks who were totally isolated and double teamed. Clarke has completely flopped both times that he's been in a position where he and the opposing coach have a few weeks to prepare the team. He's a dinosaur in coaching terms who was playing the same 5-4-1 system with no width that we have all seen doesn't work with Motherwell this season. It's the football equivalent of a boxer going backwards with a high guard waiting to lose on points and collect his paycheque.
  12. No I wanted a new CEO and we have one. I'm taking it as a sign that the takeover stuff has died off a bit as well. Now we can prepare for whatever league we are playing in next season.
  13. If Hearts are paying him a decent wage I don't think they will be happy with him spending 2-3 hours every day on the M8.
  14. Good news. Hopefully it means the takeover interest has cooled.
  15. I don't think any players have actually done that. McTominay was too old for the u21s by the time he declared for Scotland. Hickey refused to play for the 19s and 21s for a while before he got a senior call up. It's good level for players to develop at and there definitely would have been scouts watching Miller and Watson today. It's jobs for the boys at the SFA with Gemmill and Stark presumably because it's important to them that the Youth coaches came through their own coaching pathway. Making sure the best young Scottish players get up to date modern coaching doesn't seem to be a priority.
  16. Miller going off injured. Holding his hammy. Get him home. Billy Stark is an utter joke as a coach. Before Miller went off the Italians had made five changes and we had only changed the two strikers in 70 and 82 minutes.
  17. Lennon Miller is playing for u19s right now against Italy. It's on the SFA YouTube channel. Kicked off at 2pm.
  18. There was talking of American investors in January so I believe that they were interviewing candidates in February as much as I believe Kettlewell's contract was extended last summer.
  19. So when are we getting a new CEO?
  20. I think the pertinent issue is that we are about to go into our second summer without a full time CEO. Weir is only hanging around in the hope of giving the club over to private investors for buttons.
  21. They haven't been looking for a CEO at all since well before Christmas.
  22. As I understand it they stopped looking for a new CEO when they started talking to potential new owners.
  23. If he stays on after both setting a deadline to leave and refusing to look for a full time CEO it will be utterly absurd. We really need a Q&A Society meeting to find out exactly what is going on.
  24. It's worth remembering that the club has turned a profit overall since it became fan owned. It's also been less than 2 years since we were in a strong enough position to undertake a large infrastructure project. I can't help but feel that the We're Skint video and the talk of a black hole and SPFL deadline are designed to deflect from that.
