I just mean Weeyin is talking nonsense. How can we possibly have spent our summer 22 budget on extending Van Veen's contract into 23/24 when the likelihood is he won't be here for much longer? What really happened is the club got complacent and wasted money on daft things like flattening the park and resigning Nathan McGinley and were hoping to get through a couple of rounds in Europe to boost the squad. However because Alexander is a tit we didn't prepare properly for the Sligo game and got humiliated across the UK and Ireland.

KVV extending for one year cost 4 times what Josh Morris and Oxborough combined cost for two years each? That's some good budgeting.

We have had two far better wingbacks than Stephen O'Donnell playing for us this season so clearly there is better out there on our budget. You've got to wonder what kind of negotiations we are having with Harry Paton. He's an injury prone dud who was unemployed for 10 months if he doesn't take our first offer get him to fuck. Releasing Morris is obviously great but given the amount of duds we have in the squad it's criminal he's the only one. Burrows did a proper number on us his last 12 months.

It's a shame he didn't get put out on loan for some of this season, he could have kept Accies up. He has talent but struggles to get involved in games. Him and Danzaki will both surely be looking to get away from Fir Park.

I think I'd rather have another pandemic than watch Maguire, McGinlay, Tierney and Shields next season.

I don't see any of them being at the club next season. We'll just need to pull out another Moult, Cole, Watt or KVV.

O'Donnell's interview implied that there was already a bid on the table for KVV. It would be good to get some confirmation on what's happening with McGinn, Goss and Cornelius.

I've said before McKinstry's final ball was terrible but he was clearly improving when he got bombed out. You might have forgotten already but we were in a relegation battle and that was when we had a record breaking 29 goal striker.

Doing it on the final day against the worst team doesn't mean a huge amount. Our attack will look very different next seaso without KVV and Max so we'll see how he gets on then but he will need to contribute more.

His passing and shooting is generally dreadful. He gave Miller a hospital pass in the first half when there was zero pressure on him which sums up a lot of his play. He's a relegation battle player.

It was an entertaining game and hopefully Kettlewell can draw some lessons from it for next season. KVV getting the award as a send off was a nice touch but Liam Kelly was motm by a mile and kept us in it. Max Johnson came on for 20 minutes and showed the two dicks playing with Van Veen how you finish in the box. Lennon Miller had some great tackles and passes and really grew into the game, Slattery came on and barely got the ball under control. Bringing through youth has to be the number 1 priority for the club. You would like to think we should be able to get McGinn signed up ok but it would be a huge boost to get Casey and Furlong as well. Goss is worth keeping as well.
