  1. Diving bastard. Shields is terrible but he hurts us less than Tierney and at least offers a threat of getting in behind.
  2. Today we competed just fine with Aberdeen who have bigger budget as we did with Hibs at Easter Road. All we are lacking is players about the level of Bachus at St Mirren, Armstrong at Killie, Montano at Livi to create chances and maybe score a goal. We are paying good money for Morris, Moult and Arrons to do nothing. We are wasting money on Tierney and Mahon. If we had just signed one decent player to help Van Veen we would be sitting comfortably in the mix for 3rd.
  3. That was another game where Van Veen wasn't there mentally. He grabbing his shoulder after a minute, missed an open goal, was walking about shaking his head, squared up to Penney and passed it to the goalie from a great position. He had some decent play second half but not having any competition, anyone who can play up front with him, anyone who can be relied on to create for him or anyone who can come off the bench for him puts a lot of pressure on him. Signing the guy with the worst injury record in the UK to be our backup striker was a huge fuck up. Starting Tierney was madness from Hammell. The guy offers nothing. 9 appearances in the league and the only goal with him on the pitch was McKinstry's free kick against Rangers. When he gets involved near the opposition box it usually ends with him on his arse and possesion lost. We need some points before the World Cup. Only having one more home game is probably a good thing.
  4. You can't blame Hammell for being focused on an Academy job then not delivering a successful transfer window at short notice. If he avoids relegation it's a great season.
  5. Have you been watching though? He's not put a decent cross in since he joined 3 months ago.
  6. He's has had about 20 combined shockingly bad attempts at crosses and shots since he arrived. He's shite. His attempt at a cross in the first half on Sunday was pathetic, he should be nowhere near our squad.
  7. Goss would have taken a booking if he wasn't on a yellow. My point was that the idiocy at the free kick in the first half contributed to us losing the game.
  8. Given that we started Morris, McKinstery and Tierney it's not really a surprise we didn't create anything. Signing Arrons and Moult looked like an obvious error at the time and it's turned out exactly as you would expect. If Hammell keeps trying to pretend that Tierney is a real footballer serious questions will need to be asked. We looked a poorly coached team yesterday. Goss's booking for timewasting pretty much cost us the opening goal as he couldn't make a challenge on Tillman. The defending from the set piece for the second was a joke, Van Veen waiting for the ball rather than attacking it. Our own set plays were very poor and not shooting on the last free kick was criminal when McGregor really struggles with anything over shoulder height. Big Sol played really well but apart from that it wasn't anywhere near good enough.
  9. The last ever chance in league match to give Rangers a dodgy penalty without it being VAR'd goes to the inexperienced David Dickinson. He's reffed us once at Tannadice when Cole got the late equaliser, this will be his first time at Fir Park. He's the ref who got done by Porteous which resulted in Goodwin's ban.
  10. I don't think we're angels. Slattery plays for fouls a lot and Kelly is bad for time wasting. But it's definitely the case that a player in Scotland gets away with a lot if they have a media profile. Hence Boyle and Porteous taking the piss in almost every game.
  11. Shirt pulls are cheating as well. Every game has cheating in it, we need to work on putting pressure on the SFA and referees to officiate our games fairly.
  12. Don't call him a cheat. Just say something like "Hibs number 5 dived in XX mins and XX mins and I don't understand why the referee ignored it".
  13. Watching the highlights the ref was worse than he seemed at the game. The penalty was right in front of him. No foul for Newell doing Spittal. At the red card Shields is clipped by Boyle before Porteous gets involved and the ball is running through to Kelly anyway. At the previous corner Lamie is fouled. And at their goal it looks like Porteous elbows Sol and then feigns a head clash, listening to the Sportsound bangers mention Porteous's head knock at least a dozen times while not mentioning Sol who was off the park getting treatment for longer was unsurprising but still infuriating. Craigan right in amongst it as well. It was also never a foul by Van Veen prior to their goal. Porteous dives in every single game yet the referees don't bother about it. There has to be a way for clubs to point out blatant cheating and get feedback and for the SFA to analyse cheating and give clubs warnings and analysis for referees. Every major decision is subject to video review from December so there is no reason not to, the argument about undermining refs is over. VAR will be a disaster but if it can cut out a lot of the cynical stuff which is clearly coached like Hibs doing wee pushes as every set play is taken at least it will have some sort of positive impact. .
  14. Shields was terrible all afternoon. Why Hammell left him on so long is inexplicable. Waiting so long to make the subs at 10 men was another error. Tierney was out his depth again and needs to go out on loan as he's contributing nothing here. Lamie, Penney and Sol were excellent. McGinn was good other than his crossing. Efford looked very good, much improved.
  15. The best ever didn't look too clever again last. Celtic fans seemed to have given up on Europe altogether. Rangers' fans are melting downing because they got used to getting good results in the Europa and now they are getting shafted by better teams and don't like it. Both will still moan about any negative tactics employed against them in the league and other fans not paying to watch them without a hint of embarrasment.
  16. Brilliant. Matt Penney has added so much to our attack. Slattery back was a huge boost. KVV showed what he is capable of. Lamie and Sol are building a great partnership. Moult is going to have no luck right until he scores the winner against Rangers or Celtic this month.
  17. The ball is finally hitting the back of the net. Hopefully Kev gets his hat trick.
  18. Shields has barely had a touch so far. That was a pen.
  19. We competed but lacked cutting edge. Our window was poor overall but the final three signings of McKinstry, Arrons and Moult have contributed nothing so far when we were crying out for 1 player to come in as a starter and give us more attacking threat. Onto a much more important game on Tuesday.
  20. Why did Goss and Moult let that prick hit it.
  21. Why does Barry Maguire think he can shoot from long range?
  22. Joe Hart went down like he took a right hand off Tyson Fury.
