Exactly. This seems to be where Brendan Rogers is a bit confused. He feels that there being contact means that both were stonewall penalties but then he doesn't feel that Moult was fouled by Brown despite there being contact.
It was a penalty all day long. And for the scissor tackle by Holt on Roberts not to even be a foul beggars belief. Seems to be that they change their tune as to whether or not getting a touch on the ball matters to suit Rangers.
According to the commentary he was on that side and right in line with it.The Garner decision is blatant cheating. There's no way anybody can see that and say it's anything other than a straight red.
Great 3 points and nice to get a wee bit of luck. Enjoyed Boyds celebration - especially when it was followed up by his involvement in our first goal and his late penalty miss.
Impossible? It's a fairly straightforward decision for someone standing in line with the incident when that's the only thing they have to look at. It's a far easier incident to spot than a tight offside call.
I thought they were both reds in the current climate. I thought his tackle on Hammell was worse than the one McDonald got sent off for but that was overlooked because Hammell managed to get out the way before there was any real contact.
My thoughts as well. If winning the ball and then carrying on into the player is a red then going through the player from behind with no prospect of winning the ball is a red all day long no matter how high or low your foot is.
