He sent Stuart McCall to the stand against Aberdeen after awarding them a ridiculous corner that they scored from. No ban for McCall as he won his appeal.

I can’t really argue with the penalty but I don’t think that’s a second yellow. The way McHugh was going it would only have delayed his sending off though.

I think the main point is that it’s the man in charge who has assembled this shambles of a squad. It’s about whether or not the person in the role is fulfilling their duties rather than who you’d get to replace them. This isn’t directed at you but there’s always some clown out there asking for alternatives if the manager is sacked.

If the replay shows the referee not looking at the incident it may have been the 4th official who brought it to his attention. edit: as has been said above

All video evidence should be taken into account. If its not in the referees report that shows that its been missed and should be dealt with by the compliance officer. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.
