It couldn’t have been an worse. If you make a controversial decision to rest players and effectively write a game off in order to win the next game and then lose that game, surely it’s been the wrong decision? Play the strongest team and the best case scenario is that we take 6 points out of 6. With writing the Celtic game off the best we could achieve is 3 points out of 6 and we’ve ended up with 0.

You’re welcome to your opinion but I think we should have played our strongest team against Celtic and attempted to make a game of it. Put up a good performance against them and we go into today’s game with confidence instead of rolling over against them and going into today’s game flat.

I’m not sure what your point is? Obviously we could play our strongest team against any team in the league and lose. The point is that we played a weakened team in a game where we would need our strongest team to be at their best to take anything from the game. We effectively wrote it off before a ball was kicked.

I agree but I don’t think anybody mentioned anything about us drawing when we went down to 10. Also on the comparing apples and oranges part, nobody’s actually compared anything apart from AndyP. The point made by siebsbarmyarmy was that after watching Rangers again he can’t fathom how we lost 7-1 as they are utterly shite. I agree with him.

He sent Stuart McCall to the stand against Aberdeen after awarding them a ridiculous corner that they scored from. No ban for McCall as he won his appeal.

Hopefully the manager will have plenty of time on his hands to take a look at himself. Can’t see how he can continue.

I can’t really argue with the penalty but I don’t think that’s a second yellow. The way McHugh was going it would only have delayed his sending off though.

Have they not dropped as many points in the the league at this stage of the season under Gerrard as they have under anybody else?

I think the main point is that it’s the man in charge who has assembled this shambles of a squad. It’s about whether or not the person in the role is fulfilling their duties rather than who you’d get to replace them. This isn’t directed at you but there’s always some clown out there asking for alternatives if the manager is sacked.

I’m all for giving the team to bed in but it’s worrying just how bad it has been. I can’t really think of any positives to take from the games so far.
