I think players on loan can play against any club now. Not playing against the parent club can't form part of the loan agreement.

IMO McGhee made mistakes yesterday but there's no way he can be blamed for McManus making a total arse of it.

I wouldn't write Thomas off yet. I think he needs a run in a team that's playing well to adapt to first team football. At the moment he's being brought on in games where we're struggling and understandably finding it difficult.

That was awful. Weak team and weak goalkeeper.

Samson is brutal. Was never a penalty though as Rooney twists his foot to initiate contact. Annoying that we've gifted them 2 goals and passed up the best chance we'll have to equalise. Lucas looks a bit lightweight in midfield.

They spent money they didn't have on those players because they thought they could win the league. That's gone for this season and they now need to cut their losses. They need to bring money in before they can spend money. Also, I very much doubt that they paid anywhere near £1.5 million for Garner.

They couldn't afford O'Halloran. They need loans to make it to the end of the season and they haven't even paid for him yet.

Even with both of them away they're still not close to breaking even. They also need to minimise their losses for the rest of the season as they'll need special dispensation from UEFA to be allowed to compete in Europe (if they qualify) as they don't meet the FFP criteria.

Everybody should know how to play against them now. Press them high up the park and they will give you chances. No reason why we can't win this.

Crouch was 19 when he was on loan in Norway. There's a huge difference between 16 and 19 and a huge difference between Tottenham sending players out on loan and Motherwell sending players out on loan.

Goal was definitely offside. Penalty shout hit his arm but it was by his side and didn't look intentional.

Felt we were ok in the first half and Hearts would have been the happier team getting in at 0-0. 3 bad mistakes for the goal with the worst one probably from Lasley.
