I think you are being a bit unfair with your snide comment regarding Allan Campbell.

Allan played 135 times and I am sure he never gave less than 100% in every match and I don't know of any well fan who didn't appreciate his time spent at the club and didn't wish him well in his future career.   A cracking player.

I’ll take that, it was a bit snide and I have zero doubt Campbell gave his absolute all for us and I do wish him well.
My point was he was offered an extension which he refused, again, entirely his prerogative and within his right and left for a minimal development fee with no add ons, thus enabling him to get a bigger wedge from Luton.

Turnbull could have done exactly the same but didn’t knowing his club, which Motherwell is, would benefit. Because he went to Celtic tho he’s had much more stick from “some” of our fan base. Even tho he’s earned the club £3.75m and potentially come January another £750k

When he was ready to move from Fir Park I said at the time that somewhere on the continent would be ideal for Turnbull. His style is tailor-made for leagues where they prefer passing and possession.

Even if he ends up leaving on a free and we get nothing, I still hope he gets a move to a team that appreciates his talents. Maybe the recent success of other Scottish players abroad will encourage him to take the chance.

Ferguson is doing extremely well in Italy which is great to see. He’s another player deemed not good enough by the throngs of idiots who support the ugly sisters.

Turnbull is a much more accomplished player than Ferguson and has the potential to do even better, technically an excellent player and he’s a midfielder who is a prolific goalscorer. All he needs is a good defensive midfielder behind him and he’d be a standout.

  3. I can’t help be cynical that celtic are trying to drum up business and extra cash to sell Turnbull as he’s refused a new contract but I certainly think he is capable of playing in Italy at a good level.

I think his style of football is appreciated there. He’s completely unappreciated at Celtic, they prefer the hatate type who charges around clueless at 100mph

if he does go for good money and we get 10% that laddie has generated our club a fortune. Some of our support don’t really appreciate the extension contract he signed with us as well when he didn’t have to (take note Allan Campbell )

good luck to him, will look forward to supporting him wherever he ends up.

  4. He’s on a good wage in Holland so I can’t see us being able to replicate even half what he gets.
I do have it on good authority that he does want back to Scotland, his missus is from Glasgow, she’s homesick etc etc. he’s not playing well, he’s spoke out against the club/manager. Things seem to be going a bit t1ts up!!

love to see him back, as watching any talented player play for our club is good., but I’d wager he’ll go to Hearts as they’ll punt shankland to Rangers in January.

  5. He was a real victim of the boo boys with us, unjustly I thought. He always gave his all.
prolific goalscorer with Ross county and Billy Davies sticks him in the midfield.

we had so many Billy big time’s playing for us at that time and he definitely wasn’t one of them. I remember him driving about in a knackered old Renault Clio, when the likes of Lee McCulloch etc are running round in range rovers.

I can't see Celtic letting him him go for nothing. Not their style.

He’ll be punted in January and we’ll get a cash boost. No doubt about it.

he needs to leave that poison, he’s too good a player and completely unappreciated by the idiot element in their support. I’d love to see him doing a Lewis Ferguson and heading abroad. He’s  10 times the player of Ferguson too.

We need to get back to basics asap .

With current crop of fit players I personally believe we need  get back to either a 3-5-2 or old school 4-4-2.

Defence .  Both Spencer & Gent need to play on their natural side.

Midfield. If go 4-4-2 we can sit Butcher and Paton/Davor in more defensive and push Slattery/Spittal further up.

Strikers.   Obika partner with Mika or result back to 1 striker with Spittal just behind to support.

Simply put S'OD, Wilkinson, Bair, Shaw should never be close to starting.

Simpler put. When SK came in he succeeded by playing to strengths, players in their position.   Time is running out, I don't expect to win but I do expect to have a clear , simple plan that even us punters understand and can get behind.

I agree with this and I know I’m in the minority here but I’d stick with SK. I think he’s built a decent backroom staff and I’ve seen enough from them since February to be a little more patient with them. I also think continually sacking managers is expensive and embarrassing. I have no idea who would do better in a challenging environment that is the fir park resources.some of the names mentioned here are laughable.

It was only a few weeks ago we were playing well and running rangers and celtic to the wire and we have been hammered by injuries. I think things will turn around….. maybe I’m being naive but I think they will.

  8. Boyle reacting as if he got caught on the face instead of his shoulder stopped that penalty being given.

I think Casey caught him with a high boot to the shoulder and if he didn’t roll about like an idiot holding his coupon that’s a pen. Think we got away with one there.

Even the manager mentioned all Shaw has to do is lift his head and it’s a tap in, send him back, bring the wee boy Ferrie back he can’t be worse than Shaw.

I honestly think that every single one of our players, defenders included, that found themselves in shaws position at the end would have squared the ball.

I could have almost forgiven him if he’d have taken the shot on himself, but do try what he did and cut back etc it was beyond explanation.
