I don't care if we play the most honking football there is. I want us to qualify - we can worry about Clarke later

Absolutely 💯 this

I am a Scotland fan , and much rather we qualify playing c**p than not qualify at all

On the evidence of recent games though I am much more looking forward to a Well game now the international break is finished

Feel dirty for saying this but I was pretty happy to see Celtic beat Killie with a last minute winner today.

Most importantly it keeps us a point ahead of Kilmarnock but of course it also sickens Kettlewell and deprives him of a result he couldn’t get whilst with us - a home draw with Celtic.

Looks like they were pretty much robbed of a penalty themselves and the one against them looked questionable. But who cares - fuck them.

Yes I think I’d be pretty raging if that was given against us but it wasn’t against us so…there we are.

And we’re now a point, and a goal, ahead of Kettlewell’s Killie so I’ll take that. After the frustrations of the last few games I’ll enjoy this particular positive. 😀

Every away team that is required to play on that embarrassment-to-Scottish-football of a pitch should be awarded 2 penalties per match as compensation.

I was switching between the Burnley v Liverpool game and the Killie game the difference in the pitches was shocking, how the SFA / SPFL allow it to be used for top level games is a disgrace.

The Celtic penalty was a stonewaller to be fair, arm away from the body, ball heading for goal deflected away, an easy one for VAR

I think their fans are trying to say the ball smacked off another player and then hit the player that the penalty was given against. I've not watched it yet though.

It did take a slight deflection but not much, with the arm away from the body though it was always going to be given, especially as the ball was on target.

The penalties that the arse cheeks get all stonewallers if you listen to their scumbag fans. Fortunately I dont.

It will always be given if it is the arse cheeks , no chance any other team , especially when it leads to a defeat for them.

See, I can understand why it was given but I think stonewaller is pushing it.

I get his hand is out from his body, but it deflects onto his arm from close range and I felt he was trying to bring his arm towards his body rather than away from it.

I actually thought the one on the line a few minutes earlier was more of a shout as it stopped a certain goal. But thats not the rule anymore (if it ever was) so probably the correct decision.

Edit: feck Kettlebell! 😆😆😆

Kettlewell actually said that he had a meeting with refs where they talked about situations like this and they were told a penalty wouldn't be given. It's in his post match interview

I get why they are unhappy to a point as the ball bounced off the other player but then folk are saying the player should not have had his hands up - however I suppose football is instinctive and things happen so quickly

He has previous for that. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it felt like every week we lost (or didn't win) he told the press he had a recent meeting with the refs who told him the exact opposite decision would be made on a call that went against us.
