games died on its arse.   you can blame defenders, but Van Veen really should have had us in front.

We can't rely on one striker to do everything, but that's exactly what we've been doing recently. We have no alternatives.

Yeah lets not rely on a striker doing what he's paid to 6 yards out and straight at the keeper.

He's been shite recently, yes, but we have bigger problems. KVV could score every game, but we would still continually concede easily preventable goals due to shite defenders.

I love the way it always comes back to Van Veen, there are another ten players behind him most games including the other strikers. It’s been said before that if he was prolific we could not afford him. Let’s look at why other players are starting to look like they have never been on a training pitch first because today was yet again full of the basics not being done. Even the more consistent players are all over the place. We got beat by a pretty poor Aberdeen team today.

If Hammell doesn't come out and give an honest assessment of the state of things and the plans he has to fix it, he's going to start coming under a lot of pressure from fans very soon. This piss poor squad and their pathetic performances will see us relegated.

The issue is at both ends of the park but were giving away an average of two goals a game at the minute and that just simply can't continue, even if we were half decent in attack giving away two goals a game can't happen.the goals yet again are embarrassing, the first why are we playing that high of a line when we have no pace at the back and then the second mcginn is beating far to easy and then it's a free header six yards out.it looks like we're going to be going into yet another transfer window with the same problems that have been staring us in the face for agesthat were going to try and have to fix.

Scottish football is really really bad, even with the city teams spending money on players. Aberdeen did nothing in that second half, other than go forward once and score. Hats off to them right enough, but they like us are going nowhere.

They are going up the league and we are going down. I know what I would prefer. They came and got 3 points and we went out with a whimper. They managed to fight back to win. Wtf did we do.  Stop with the delusions. We are shite.

You can't miss chances like the one KVV had and expect to get anything out of games, absolute sitter.

We didn't play any better in the second half, but Aberdeen got sloppy and we were about to get the ball forward more and almost got ourselves a lead. Having some pace on the pitch with shields helped, but the lack of pace across our whole squad is a huge problem. In fact, just having some players who are not comically slow would be a bonus.

I hope that we have the ability to make some serious changes in the next window now that Hammel has had more time. A second striker is an absolute must. Pretty woeful that when we're chasing a game in the last ten mins our only option is a like for like sub with our right backs.

Overall it's pretty tight our side of the league.

Played 12 games,  won 1/3 of them.  Scored 15 , conceded 16.

Pretty similar stats from position 5th downwards.

The squad won't change hugely between now and the end of the season. Winter window doesn't tend to offer much. Perhaps a couple of decent loan centre halves.

Key is confidence, at start of season we played with intensity, freshness and enthusiasm.  The run of the last 6+ games has understandably eroded confidence.

Need to grind out a result or 2 over the next few games.

He is already under pressure. Watch his post match interviews. He is clueless about what to do. Poor squad sure, but whatever is going on with the coaching and playing formations it isn't working. Another Motherwell manager who doesn't know his best 11.

We have got a second striker. Oops you are right we brought a one legged man back who couldn't wait to leave us first chance he got.

Signing Moult and Aarons may be his downfall. However, he inherited all of the other issues and knew that before choosing to throw himself in at the deep end. It's now down to him to manage us out of this mess.
