Why, St Mirren have been as brutal as us in recent weeks.

correct, other than the aberdeen game at the weekend, their form is as bad or worse than ours.

There's been a few people on Facebook who have said tonight that he and some players got a lot of abuse at both the St Johnstone games. I personally don't feel like I've been thrown under the bus - because I've never abused him - and like I said the other night - I don't think any professional footballer should be downing tools. Until very recently I was living well below the poverty line - I've scraped the money together to get both of my last two years season tickets and some very well paid players just decide to pack it in - not good enough in my view - and some of them have done it with other managers as other folk have said

Aye that statement will have rubbed folk up the wrong way - but it's not all on him

How can you expect professional footballers to play in a shite system every week which makes them look disorganised and poor players eg, 5 across the back and 1 striker leading to 3 or 4 shots on goals all game with a terrible possession percentage. Aye three shots all game .They may be thick but no stupid it was always going to came to a head at some point ,seems to have done a couple of games ago.

Then add to that SK commits the biggest two mistakes in the managerial the rule book he criticised the fans, then blamed the players in separate post match interviews theres only one outcome there , slippery slide to resignation because the board weren’t ever going to do anything.

Hopefully whoever comes in will give the club a boost the next few months , but won’t be surprised if it is Stephen Frail til the summer

Given that Kettlewell has been allowed to blow the family jewels on his massive squad before he jumped ship, and the fact that Frail's salary is already factored into the budget until the end of the season, I can't see the club rushing (or afford) to employ a whole new management team at this stage. It'll likely be Frail to the end of the season, then reassess.

If fans don't like our style of football just now it will be worse with Robbo,  we were effective but wasn't easy to watch

Not sure I agree with this...Robinsons blood and thunder style of play with Moult, Bowman, Hartley, Aldred etc was far easier to watch than the passive, stand off-ish, 30% possession at McDiarmid park daftness that's been served up recently.

Not that I want Robinson back, nor think he would come back either

Will be interesting to see - prob similar to when SK got the job - he had a free shot at it for a few weeks .

ill be interested to see how frail sets us up / how we changes anything .

im hoping finances are not the driver though  - although it’s not just Frail (who appears a decent guy) it’s all the others in the mgt team would likely need to be replaced as well

That's fair enough - but I stand by what I said earlier - and - if you look back at Kettlewells post match interviews over the last two years - he's been hugely supportive of the players

There are also some people who think the comments he made in that interview were aimed at pundits rather than fans

I agree the writing was on the wall. I just don't think the bust up with Casey should have been made public - Kettlewell is getting criticised for slating players but an argument with Casey is all over fans forums - what's the difference?

These things get out, particularly if the bust up was in front of the rest of his backroom team and a squad full of players

Some of the performances this season have been horrendous, the last few away from home are as bad as it gets.injuries aside, our squad is a shambles,he had a preferred formation and the whole time he was here,he never signed players suited to that system.hes definitely been feeling the pressure the last few weeks with the constant back and forth with officials and the comments after the cup game,he had been criticised a lot for his substitutions and they were the final nail in his coffin for me on saturday,we were clearly trying too see the game out and he brings on a guy that he clearly doesn't rate and the other that was signed the day before, absolute madness and you can see why folk had it in for him.it can't be nice for a managers family to hear any sort of abuse directed his way.i think the abuse thing is a smokescreen, there's clearly issues with the team and he's got out while his stock is still in decent shape but at the same time,he's probably not done himself many favours with any future employers as any club he goes too next will have supporters that dish out abuse and might think twice about employing him.

I agree with that, atleast that team of robinsons had a bit of identity and everyone knew exactly what there role was.for most of this season it's been like having 11 strangers on the park.like you I wouldn't want robinson back either.

I feel he has been desperate to get out.   What could have happened today was he expressed concerns about the abuse and that it was upsetting his family.    Club then put our statement to fans saying thst behaviour won't be tolerated.    Kettlewell had no intention of staying and it just covers the other issues.

Like I said the club were fair to him as he could have been punted last year.  I wish him well for the future but if he gets another manager job heaven forbid the fans dare criticise him

Can anyone guess who's fans said this ??

No heart, no passion and no skill. Mish-mash of poor players not performing and a manager with a lack of experience in anything but one system that has now been counteracted by every team in the league.

As you say, Frail pretty much has a free hit until the end of the season. He does well, then he either walks away or is extended. He doesn’t do well, then he either walks away or isn’t extended, citing that the damage had already been done under Kettlewell.

It sure is going to be interesting seeing how Frail sets up his team and to see who he does/doesn’t start etc.

It's not a smokescreen if there were sections of our fans abusing him at the last two games surely

Maybe the bigger issue is that fans can be upset without resorting to abuse

There must be something more too it then cause I don't believe he's resigned from getting abuse for the last two games.

I would be surprised we don't give it to frail until the end of the season and assess our options then, just as long as we don't do something stupid and give it too frail full time after a couple of good results.

You're probably right but we'll never know

We will if our form immediately picks up, Dan Casey is back smiling, and we actually look like a football team again.

For me he walked before he was pushed.

Bit like yourself last week

Lost me with this, you confusing me with someone else?

Don't think it tarnishes the whole club, don't know how much input SK would actually have had with the wording but seems clear he has given it, "personal abuse", as a reason.

I'm giving my opinion on how he has appeared to be to me, as I said not actually knowing the guy.

Other people may have a different opinion and that's fine.

If it turns out he was thinking of his next interview and thought I can't say I left my last job because I had ran out of ideas I better give a different reason then I might change my opinion but I will take him at face value for now.

Spurs?

Twas Aberdeen actually, but the point is, if you look at any fan forum in Scotland, except Celtic and possibly Dundee Utd (at the moment) you'll see exactly the same comments as you'll see on here, i.e. all the players are crap the team is crap and there are a percentage of fans who want the manager binned.

There is no need to blow the load early on Frail as he already has a rolling contract.

No pal,  I was referring to Kettlewell criticising the fans in his interview last week. Wasn't anything to do with you

Manager critcises fans for abuse

manager abuses refferees / 4th officials

personal abuse from fans in not accceptable

but come to feck stuart you have been working your ticket since you slated the fans  youv managed to get out while your stock is slightly high

but youv seen the mess we are in and only heading in one direction

if SF sets up on a totally differant formation in the next 3 games that we might suspect there was a differance in opinions beetween manager and assisant

time will tell but i personally think SK has pulled a stroke on his timing of this and his BBC radio scotland pals will rally round him , except craggs who has been highly critical of the way we play and the stats of posecion and shots on goal

Any way onwards n upwards and dont let the door hit your arse on the way out stuarty boy am sure you will pop up elsewhere talking about 5 th place ,semi final , theo, blah blah

But you wont talk about how bad weve been for weeks , tumbolla team selections, sq pegs in round holes, etc

you will spin it all out bout your good times , but dont forget, YOU turned the fans against you
                NEXT PLEASE 👍

There's no evidence that Stuart Kettlewell abused officials - people who sat near him said otherwise - people can slate him for many things but let's not make things up as we go along -and there are plenty people who are sorry he's gone - the Motherwell facebook page is full of people saying they are sorry.

No evidence except the 2 suspensions he’s served in the past month?

No bother.

Yes, those remarks were never going to help unless he was 100% sure we were going wipe floor with St. Johnstone, which he surely couldn't have been.
