Not a name that anyone is going to mention on here, PLZ, the sun or the betting sites. No recycled Scottish journeymen failures.

I'd go along with that Ally. We have a reputation for picking left field candidates so why not again?

No Imries, Valakaris, Naismiths or Docherties please.

I've always harboured hope that Craggs would want it but he's sensibly opted for pundit route - much easier life I imagine.

For me there is a watch out re another  Wimmer esk appt. By that I mean a manager who lives away from his family, If he moved to UK and his family didn't, well how was that ever going to work ?(forgive my hindsight goggles)

I'm hoping there was a good second choice a few months ago then they may still be available.

For the record I think we've proven over the long term that we don't appoint the obvious failed Scottish managers.

I liked the sound of the former Preston manager who was in the running last time. Not sure if he is still available, or if indeed he would still be interested.

think that wad Ryan Lowe who's now with Wigan.

Modern day football is bonkers.  The every season year change of strip now outlasts many managers - can't be good for any business.

I'm ok with slow progress, I liked the style of football Wimmer was aiming for,  would like the next manager to bring the same philosophy and be given time to move us forward/have the desire to stay for a few years.

Club took us all by surprise last time and done a lot of research.  Hopefully will take their time again.

I don't think Wimmer appointment was a mistake and I genuinely don't think he would have taken job if he knew a few months down line this would have happened.

You would imagine the club would sound out a name from the previous shortlist. That will depend on availability though. After the Wimmer appointment and with a bit of compo received albeit probably minimal, I trust the club to get the right man in.
